   First, make no mistake - these guys can cook. Both the more-Chinese menu and the sushi are excellent. A great four-star dinner spot. Unfortunately, I'm more of a lunch person, and the buffet they used to have was pretty good. I've been informed that the buffet is now only on Fridays, replaced the rest of the week by lunch specials. Things kind of fall apart here - hence the three stars. First, it's way too expensive - about $11. Second, for that you get an entree, rice, and an appetizer - but no soup. Portions are OK, but the value overall is poor, as with tax and tip this will run you about $14 - way too much for lunch. The food, again, is good - I had Paradise Chicken, a kind of Szechuan dish with pea pods and red peppers (and some rather limp, cooked shredded lettuce that was way out of place here). It's served in a bento box, which seems to make the portions look even smaller than they are and which is, again, out of place. Finally, the waitstaff is indifferent, and an empty water glass will remain such until you so indicate. Dinner is, again, good - I've been here several times, and I'd recommend Samba West for that. But lunch is out of the question now, except perhaps on Fridays, and if they bring back the buffet as a daily affair.

   Enjoyed our apps and then tried a couple of specials... the crispy sesame shrimp served with a little broccoli in sort of an orange sauce... very good. Mambo roll w/tuna also vg. Very good service today.

   Tried the moo shu chicken tonight for the first time... very nice but has a lot of cabbage... liked the plum sauce served wtih it. Other items, apps, very good. Service a little slow but acceptable. All in all a nice meal.

   Booked Samba West fora party of 8 New Years Eve hoping it would be a Great Choice. Well... Got there & it really wasn't that busy. We were seated right away which was good sign but then it all went down hill. Took forever for the server to greet us & take a drink order. Once Ben did it still took a while to get the drinks & app order. The menu was restricted couldn't order certain types of Sushi which was odd.... When the apps finally came out the sushi was good but all the hot apps were cold & it was like pulling teeth to get a one on one with the waiter. We understand it was NYE but really ?? Get it together.. Have been to Samba several times for NYE & never had an issue. Samba West consistently has issues & the service is sub par. On a normal night you can be at the bar for 15 minutes without a bartender even looking at you. Not Cool. We will definitely go back to Samba for NYE & dinners as for Samba West... Yea Never Again, it's just Always disappointing.

   Nice chow tonight... very slow when we arrived early on a Tuesday night. Service was very good ... hot towel to start was nice. Good traditional Chinese place.

   Reliable Chinese spot. Came early for dinner on a Sunday and it was very quiet... probably due to 430 Patriot game. Nice apps, shrimp special.

   The food is good here but it's just the service that gives this place a low rating Samba services is much better than Samba West. We don't get just one waitress we got 3 different waitress so we keep getting warm hand towels to wipe out hands which was nice in this cold autumn but it makes it confusing to us as to whom we should say what we need or missing. There is always a busboy who always pours water in glass that are empty that is not water which happens every time.

   Not so crowded so they had time to provide excellent service. Food was good. Liked the shrimp with lobster sauce (dark), spicy green beans, Pad Thai so so.
