About
Really poor service. No menus for 10 minutes, 15 minute wait for a drink. Waiters were rude when we asked them where our food and drink was.
Good food and fun atmosphere
Fun lively place on a Saturday, live flamenco and then a DJ. The food was just above average, but the atmosphere was great!
Was a great place for lunch - amazing portions for a £10 lunch menu of 3 tapas and a glass of wine! We enjoyed it so much that stayed till evening drinks.
I have been to Salvador and Amanda a fair few times but only to the Covent Garden restaurant and this one didn't disappoint either! I will say that the Covent Garden is nicer in it's look, however that being said the food in both restaurants is amazing and we went to the Bloomsbury restaurant on a Monday meaning we got 50% off all food and happy hour all night which meant we got to try a lot more dishes! I would definitely recommend both restaurants but if you want somewhere a bit fancier then the Covent Garden is your best bet :)
Great food and atmosphere. It was our first time at this restaurant and we would certainly recommend it to others
Incredible that this restaurant was closed at our booking time!
Six of us travelled by underground to the restaurant and found out the entrance was closed with all the lights off!
We didn’t believe our eyes first, but that was the fact. We waste both our time and money of underground.
This is beyond reviewing!
Not great service and place looked like it’s had too many big Friday nights
Spent an excellent night here with the live entertainment then the DJ. Great food. Good find so not jam-packed - enough space to dance on date night.
Good selection of vegetarian food and the happy hour is extremely good value
My friend and I had a great time here! The food was great (lots of options to choose from) and the live music and flamenco dancer were so good. Lovely for chilled Saturday evening and not too hard on the pocket either. Every single member of staff there was lovely and helpful! I'd definitely recommend it.
Really nice food and good service. Great value
A bit shabbier than last time we were there but still nice tapas and good value - three small dishes plus a drink for £10 at lunch time. The tables are a bit sticky but lovely friendly service and a good, tasty, speedy lunch.
Terrible service and food. Waitress greeted us with ‘we have a private party on later so we will be removing all tables and chairs by 9.30pm’ Food was cold. Half way through the staff started moving the furniture around us. Much better places near here. Would never go again.
This is a lively restaurant, on Saturday there was a live flamenco dancer, followed by DJ later on. Food is fantastic and most dishes are a good size. Had a couple of mojitos during happy hour (ends at 9pm), they were very good. Service was good, the only downside was being sat in a small booth between 2 levels near the bar, it was awkward and uncomfortable whilst eating due to the low table, but this appeared to be the only table like this.
They ruined my mum's birthday. I specifically called before booking to ask what time the flamenco show would be on- to which I was told 8:30 but that a private event would be on at 10 pm and we would have to leave by then, which I was fine with. I booked a table for 8:15pm, arrived with my mum on time (who was really looking forward to it as she loves Spanish food and dance). As we arrived we found that the show was already taking place. Before being shown to our table I asked how much longer there was left of the show, only to be told that there was about 10 minutes left. I came all the way down from Birmingham to treat my mum to this. We decided to leave instead. What a disappointment.
Enjoyed decent tapas and a glass of wine in this downstairs, a bar-that-serves-food (the restaurant upstairs was in use for a private function). Service friendly and interesting wines by glass. Would come back for more of a party celebration than a catch up with a friend I've not seen for a while.
We went for a family outing and likes the idea of having tapas for a change. The selction we were offered was good and the portion sizes were adequate. We were impressed with the quallity of the food and the service, plus the ambience with the Spanish dancing was well received. To top it all the drinks were at happy hour prices. A really enjoyable evening, really good value for money
Good value lunch deal but decor could do with freshening up
Good food, friendly staff, value for money, good atmosphere - great time had by all in group, we'll be back again soon.
Very well located venue but the restaurant upstairs is a bit quiet and tired compared to the bar downstairs which is buzzing. However, they make up with the lovely food which was delicious. Would certainly go back.
Friendly welcome and advice on special offers to save money, great food, superb value.
Food was really good and amazing value when using the 50% off offer. My only complaint is the ambience - the place can't decide whether it's a restaurant (wayyyy too loud) or a bar (wayyyyy too formal with dinner tables).
Great value and enjoyed the food and house wine. Service was a little patchy i.e. staff were pretty good once we had their attention. The evening was let down by an hour of a roudy hen do who came and squeezed in next to us. They really disturbed our meal (and most of the restaurant) by being really loud & cramped the area we were trying to eat in. The staff were nowhere to be seen and ignored the situation. If they allow people in for drinks they need to manage drunken groups and not let them disturb diners so much
Been here twice in the last month with the opentable 50% discount offer, which was great, but ended on 28.2.2017.
The food, cocktails and sangria were all lovely.
I'm not sure i'll be going back anytime soon however, as at the end of the night my friend and I spotted a mouse running out from under the cushioned seats by the wall grabbing food that had been dropped on the floor. It was very brazen, and not shy at all! When we pointed the mouse out to the waiter, he just joked about it being like a free show.
Suffice to say we asked for the bill and made a hasty exit..
Excellent service. Great value and a lovely atmosphere- would definitely come back
Excellent ambience on a Thursday night. The 50% offer made it super attractive to finally get the group of friends together. Wine was excellent. Food got mixed reviews: the tortilla was a bit dry and the croquetas cold. Big favourites were the padron peppers, calamari and chorizo lollipops. Our waiter was excellent - young man from Sevilla, sorry didn't catch his name!
great tapas at a good price with the Open Table offer.
Some of the seating requires attention
The first time we came to this attractive restaurant it was quiet except for a private party and the traffic associated with it. Three waiters and a bartender in the downstairs area. Still service was a little slow and there was quite a language barrier. The food is quite nice, so we chose to try it again.
O boy!
As we approached there was quite a crowd outside and when we mentioned our reservation there was again a language issue, and my name is not difficult. Obviously there was a private party going on downstairs this time and quite crowded. Escorted upstairs and past a crowded dining room we were seated. The rest of the story I will put in outline form or this would be way too long.
1. Waited about 15 minutes for drinks before i got up and asked to be served.
2. Bartender took food and drinks order together, again communication issues.
3. Ordered smoked almonds that after quite some time and again my friend getting up...finally came.
4. Btw, there is just one waitress and a bartender/waiter seating, explaining the menu, serving, AND running the food, cleaning tables etc for approx 70 people.
5. My friend food came, something wrong with my order apparently.
6. Friend finished her meals (with a little help from me).
7. Sat patiently waiting for my meal, after significant time, asked about it, waiter looked at me like, OH!
8. Got up to find condiments ourselves, remember 2 waiters about 70 people.
9. Occasionally would hear strange noises and would see staff member messing with the sound system.
10. Eventually after about an hour other staff members, managers would occasionally be seen flying through the dining area or serving a table.
I could go on, left out much detail.
As i stated at the beginning, the food is nice, but seriously!
Serious serious case of bad management or planning, and being seriously under staffed or very badly assigned.
Good service very good food and good value esp the 50% off
Great venue, busy lively bar downstairs but yet a cosy restaurant setting above...food was delicous and great value with the 50% off...cosy chilled relaxed atmosphere...I can't wait to go again...
Only areas for improvement are the staff need to be more attentive....no offer for another bottle of wine even though ours finished before the food for there....no offer of dessert and getting the bills took a while....apart from those small things it was a fabulous evening.
The acoustics spoilt the evening for me. Very difficult to have a conversation! Staff were very good. The portions were tasty but too large and therefore did not allow the usual variety of flavours to be experienced when having tapas. Very limited wine list. Wort a visit when 50% offer applies!
a small tapas restaurant with rather limited choice of tapas and other meals. We visited this restaurant during normal lunch hours and it was almost empty. We had squid with black rice and crispy squid which were not bad. Nice white wine. A bit expensive so the Open table 50% off food offer was very helpful.
I have been there twice and have loved the food. The food is authentic and the staff is good. a good place for special occassions. A nice place for office dinners too. Highly recommendable.
Waiters were really kind, and the food was quite good, the plates were ok although for the price a bit small in my opinion. On Saturday they have live music, really enjoyed it.
This was good value because we had 50% off food. For Tapas there are few things that were slightly different. However, as is often the case with restaurants it was noisy made no easier because there was a duo playing guitar and drums that made conversation very difficult . They could've played with less amplification and it would've been fine .
