Under the same ownership for more than 15 years The Salusbury boasts all the trappings of an excellent local gastro pub. Being one of the first on the scene the Salusbury has seen its guises change over the years but is more comfortable now than ever. An excellent chef, Andrew Filar and passionate manager, Romina Puddu ensure the pub is delivering the best in food, drink and service.

Andrew brings his wealth and depth in understanding of seasonal British cuisine from his time as Head Chef at the Medcalf, Exmouth Market where he worked for more than 7 years, and Romina always ensures the customers experience at the Salusbury is an enjoyable one. With her impeccably kept cellar she keeps our selection of fine ales, stouts and porters in prime condition as well as selecting great value wines with sense of place, by the glass and bottle.

Great atmosphere, excellent food and good service. The roast pork was one of the best Sunday roast pub meals I've ever had! Will be back very soon.

A friend suggested this gastropub saying that it was pretty good and the value was good overall. I was pretty disappointed as I checked the menu beforehand and had already chosen to order the venison fillet, I was so looking forward to eat it! Unfortunately the menu they have on Opentable isn't the same they're currently offering. I therefore opted for scallops as a starter (they were ok, nothing exciting) and a chicken breast with a kale, cauliflower, and other bits salad. The chicken was tasteless and tough, it was not a good choice. My boyfriend got the pork cheek and the smoked haddock. They were alright. We also got a dessert (apple crumble with vanilla ice cream) and it was delicious (at least!). We drank one beer and two glasses of house wine, and the bill was £90. I think it could've been cheaper considering what we got and the area (Queen's Park, not Oxford Circus). I won't go again and wouldn't recommend to a friend, sorry.

newly refurbished restaurant very good, food very good indeed. only gripe is that there are some new staff who found it difficult to understand english, having to point at items on the menu, hopefully experience will improve this

I booked a table at Salusbury Pub to catch up with some friends who were visiting London and were keen for a good pub meal. It certainly didn't disappoint, the food was good quality and really tasty. It was a little pricier than some pub meals, but certainly worth it. Will definitely be back.
