Salty's on the Columbia
Ezra is the best server we have had in a long time....totally understood all our quirky drink preferences and made sure they were right. A really personable waitperson without being intrusive. We arrived early and they went out of their way to seat us ASAP. Super good service and Ezra knows his wine.
My husband and I enjoyed this beautiful restaurant! Great view of the Columbia River! Great delicious buffet! Awesome server Kathy! We will be back! Wonderful experience on our Wedding Anniversary!
Thank you Salty's and Kathy, Sincerely V&D
My partner and I came here for the first time to celebrate a late Valentines and a late anniversary celebration. We had Ashley as our server, and she was wonderful! She knew it was our first time, and she explained how brunch works at Salty’s and gave detailed highlights of brunch. The food variety was amazing and everything tasted great! Some of the pastries were more on the dry side, but we still loved the variety of options we had. We would say that the view, the food, and most definitely our server, Ashley, made our time there perfect! We will be coming back for sure!
Great food as usual but really loud
Service was impeccable and food was delicious. Great view too!
it is a great place to have Saturday brunch. Food is delicious! Best place to welcome the week-end!
The food was great; the buffet lives up to Salty's marketing material. All the seafood I ate was fresh and cooked perfectly. But...the restaurant is looking a little worn, and it was a little cramped around the buffet. On top of that, personally I find the pressure of trying to eat $55 worth of food takes the shine off the experience. Highly recommended if you love seafood, or if you have big eaters in your party.
Went for weekend Brunch! Bottomless mimosas changed to $20 for a bottle of champagne! Or 2 for $35. Still a good deal!
Food was great! Known for seafood but they can throw down with their omelette waffle and carving stations. Seafood is where it’s at though!
Service is great as well! Waters stayed full. Champagne glasses stayed full as well. We could’ve self poured but they were so on top of it! Checked on the right amount of times and at the right times! Friendly. Warm. Welcoming. Just great service.
Best to make reservations. This place is always poppin! Making reservations easy and quick! Come with any special requests! Top floor window seat looking over the river! Best spot!
Fly solo. Kick it with friends. Spend with family. It’s a great place!
Salmon, steelhead and scallops were all great. Excellent kitchen staff. Desserts were also wonderful.
Steelhead fish here is prepared with such creativity in flavoring. There was also grilled gnocchi and roasted brussel sprouts prepared with it! Even a taste of rasberry was infused in the sauce. What a great tasting sauce and meal!
My only disappointment was that we had indicated that it was a birthday celebration, and was not given a token dessert for that. Otherwise though, it was delicious and the service was good.
Hosted a business dinner with clients. Service was exceptional. Started with chowder with a splash of cream sherry. Very nice touch. Moved on to the kale salad. Loved the sugared cranberries. The main course was prosciutto wrapped sturgeon with wild mushrooms. Wow what a dish. Absolutely delectable. Finished with espresso and carrot cake. Very good indeed. Couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. This was about the 10th time I’ve dined at Salty’s. Very consistently excellent.
Great ambiance and great foods💙
This is easily one of my top 3 restaurants in Portland, for the food, the service, the view, and the baked Alaska dessert.
It had been a couple years since my last visit to Salty's. My finance' and I were celebrating our 3rd year anniversary, and Salty's made for the great night. The servers were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We are looking forward to coming back in the Summer, so we can enjoy the good food and service on the patio.
We went to Salty's for Crabby Monday, so the value was excellent. The wait staff are unobtrusive, yet attentive. It's a beautiful location and worth a little extra drive.
We were there for crappy Monday and it was fantastic
My wife and I visited Salty’s for a Valentine’s Day treat, a couple days late because we were excited about the prime rib special. Seemed clear that the food had been plated well in advance of and reheated before serving. The food was lukewarm and the plate was hot. Meat was dry and the vegetables were shriveled (broccoli) and mashed potatoes congealed. I have to admit it bummed us out. I would encourage folks to go there for reasons other than the prime rib, especially if a special is being offered.
The day was sunny and nice. We had a window seat and were able to view the river. The prime rib was wonderful. The service was better.
Food, great! It was a beautiful day at salty buffet style on the weekends.
We had an incredible time! Our waitress was amazing.
We have been to salty's on several occasions and all ways had a wonderful experience
Everything I tried was very good. They had an excellent selection and plenty of everything! None of the items were empty or low at all. I tried the prime rib, prawns, crab legs, bacon and steelhead. All were very good! And I loved the chocolate fountain, yummm
A delightful spot to celebrate a birthday - lots of people moving about makes the environment a bit hectic. Excellent service.
All was great
Amazing dinner, great service and beautiful restaurant!
I would come every weekend if I could. What a wonderful treat! The food was so delicious. Best seafood I have had and same with the service. Ezra was our waiter and I’ve never had a more outstanding experience. Thank you!
A group of friend went for brunch and it was delicious as always!!
I really had a high expectation for the service and quality of food. The food was okay. I loved the shrimp and grits and the crab. The oysters were not fresh tasting. They were very fishy. The rest of the options were okay but not worth $51 per person. The service really disappointed me. Our waiter left a very dirty spoon in my place. It had a lot of red food stuck to it. And my wife and I ordered a mimosa each but he brought one and it was just champagne. Maybe I'm being picky but I think for $51 a person, the service needs to be on point and the food should all be at least edible.
No more bottomless mimosas.
Service was fantastic. It was our first time there and this was the first time we have been well taken care of at a restaurant. The seafood made it worth the amount we paid. The rest of the food was decent. Definitely a nice place to bring family, celebrate special occasions, or to treat yourself. Parking can be hard to find since they are so busy, so come a little earlier than the reservation time to find a spot. They also have valet parking if need be.
Excellent location, food and atmosphere! We were so happy with our overall dining experience at Salty’s on the Columbia River. The made to order crepe station is one of our favorite parts of the brunch buffet! The selection of food choices is wonderful and delicious! Very unique and special! Highly recommend!
Celebrating Valentine's with my husband
Both my husband and I agree, this was the best meal we’d had a long time. Lovely view of the river, attentive and friendly server and outstanding food. What’s not to love?
Thank you, we had a wonderful Valentines Day meal at Saltys. My husband loved the steelhead dish with brussel sprouts. We will definitely be back.
First time at Salty’s and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and courteous. The restaurant wasn’t overcrowded considering it was Valentine’s Day. There was a special menu for the night and the food was delicious. We were sad to find out that they ran out of the Baked Alaska so we’ll have to come back another time to try it. There was also free valet parking with heat lamps at the entrance while you wait.
Our server Josh was fantastic and the food was fabulous! Can't wait to go again!
I know it was Valentines Day but charging $60 for a New York that was the perfect temperature but so chewy it gave me a headache trying to chew it. Also, cramming extra tables in the room took all the ambiance out of the occasion. Salty’s you are better than this!
Our service was outstanding! Great Valentine's dinner and having Mel Brown there to perform live was an added treat.
Our experience at saltys was fantastic. The server was attentive and friendly, the food was incredible, and we had a wonderful time. The only thing I would comment is that they brought in a live 3 piece jazz ensemble and it would have been nice to be given a choice if we wanted to be seated by the music or not... it didn't bother us though.
We had a lovely evening, and we'll definitely return to saltys soon!
Should not have to pay additional for bread. The bread was weak. If going to stick with the French bread, may want to warm it up. And it should come complementary with the meal.
