The food was expensive for us, but for a special occasion it was worth it. We went for lunch. I went for my birthday and the food was very good and they treated us to a wonderful cake with a candle. We ate outside since the weather allowed us to do so. Hoping to try the brunch some weekend for another special occasion.
Best view of Seattle, and great food to boot. Short drive from downtown, and well worth it
My husband and I went here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It was his turn to pick out where to have our dinner and I'm glad he did.. This time We went out as a family with our four children. To celebrate our love. It made me happy. I'm a sucker for views and water scenes and the weather was amazing it took my breath away. I could have been on vacation elsewhere but I chose to celebrate here. The food was amazing ,the staff were awesome. Take your significant other, family, friends here for whatever you are celebrating. You won't regret it . My family and I enjoyed it. My children can't stop talking about the experience. I can't wait to go back.
Had always wanted to try the brunch at Salty’s...it was legit. We ate so much fresh crab! My only wish was that the ingredients were listed since I suffer from some food allergies but at this point I know what to stick to and it was all very delicious. Very pricey but fun for a “once a year” splurge.
We were celebrating our 35th wedding Anniversary! A perfect day . Water view table was set up with rose petals ❤️
Our server was very attentive and food excellent!
Aces. Good food. Good service. There was a giant seagull watching us through the window. I dubbed him Salty the Seagull. He was fat and happy and so was I.
Made us wait 15min even with reservations. Watched folks with later reservations get seated before us.
Got an obstructed-view booth even tho there was an unobstructed available right next to it. Prices are obnoxious. Lighting kept dimming until virtually blackout. Staff were desperate-sounding in their fake welcomes, and "please come back soon." I'm guessing they are hurting, or under poor management. Won't be returning.
Stick with brunch. It was our first visit back for dinner in a few years and it was not what we expected. There was no valet out front when we drove up nor was there one to be found after we self-parked in the valet lot, which seemed out of sorts for a Saturday night. The service, view and ambiance were great. You can't beat the spectacular view and our server Bella was great. The food was another story. For the price, I expected some "wow" factor and fresh tasting seafood. The portion size was good, but it didn't make up for the quality. We started with the Salty trio. The crab cake was oversauced with remoulade, the calamari batter heavy (and squid was a little fishy). The coconut prawns, while tepid, did not disappoint and were pretty good. We ordered the cioppino and surf and turf for entrees. The cioppino broth was delicious and seafood generous but it didn't taste fresh, especially not the salmon in the dish. The lobster for the surf and turf was cooked nicely, whereas the steak was cooked as requested and tender but tasted bland. We hoped for better but came away disappointed. We will likely be back for brunch, but not for dinner. Dinner wasn't "bad" per se, but for what it cost, there is much better seafood to be found around town.
They took my open table request into consideration!
Wait staff is very friendly
Will definately come again.
Went for anniversary. They had rose pedals on our table. Great service. Not rushed at all. Great view. Seated next to the window. Wife had lobster tail- done perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place. Casual too, but still classy.
I haven't been to Salty's in probably 20+ years. We went for my best friend's birthday and she had never been. We had the most amazing service. Our table was ready shortly after our arrival. The food and drinks were perfect. We could not have asked for better service and a better evening.
I try to come to this restaurant every time I visit Seattle. There is a million dollar view overlooking the city across the bay at night. The people in the restaurant are always very friendly and pleasant making this a great experience. I always get a seafood dish and have completely enjoyed every meal. This is one of Seattle’s best!
The food and atmosphere was amazing. View is great too!
Last year while visiting from Colorado, some family brought me to this Salty’s location and it was amazing! Had a great table, service was great as well as the food. We decided to come there again for brunch while I was in town again this year. I made reservations in advance and requested a table with a “view” online as well as when they called to confirm my reservation. We arrived a few minutes late due to traffic but got checked in and asked about the table with a view and was told we’d get one. Anyway, long story short, we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for our table and ended up being seated in the back corner behind the piano. It was okay, but not what we asked for. As we waited, the waiting room was out of coffee cups among other things that we ended up having to ask for. We also didn’t receive any of the doughnuts after we were seated and we ended up starting before our waitress got to the table as it took a while before someone came to get a drink order and greet us. While the food was great, loved the macaroons, the overall experience was so so. It could have been it was an overly busy day because the weather was nice, which is understandable. Will most likely come back because there’s such an awesome variety of foods and desserts, we’ll just hope for a little better experience next time.
Went to Salty’s brunch to celebrate my birthday. It was OK. The food could have been hotter. Their orange chicken was cold. Their Mac and cheese wasn’t very warm either. I think their staff needs to check the heat of the food more often. They have rearranged the food placement since we last went. Quite the stuff-up if you are wanting ham or roast beef due to the people wanting seafood. The staff are really nice and friendly. The food left me wanting this time.
Birthday, and we always come for Sunday brunch
WASN'T AS GREAT AS i REMEMBER IT. LOTS OF PEOPLE, VARIETY OF FOODS, BUT NOT AS MUCH AS RECALL. i ALSO DONT RECALL THE FOOD TASTING THAT GREAT- OR AT LEAST AT THE PRICE IT COMES AT.
FUN EXPERIENCE IF YOU'VE NEVER BEEN, BUT i'M AFRAID I CAN SAY IVE BEEN THERE, DONE IT, AND DONT NEED TO GO BACK.
The service and view were great but the food was really terrible. The seafood buffet consisted of 2 types of crab, 1 type of raw oysters and some lukewarm fish with a sauce on it. The rest of the buffet food was pretty sad. Nothing was really hot just lukewarm at best and poor quality. The desserts really failed also, the creme pat in the cream puffs was curdled and hard and the pastry was completely wrong. The Madeline cookies were inedible and had a horrible bitter taste.
I was really excited to try this place since the reviews were so great but I was so sadly disappointed. For the price, I expected much better food. You're clearly paying premium for the people who come and eat nothing but 2 types of crab legs for 1.5 hours. Save your money and go somewhere that focuses on quality and not quantity.
The surf and turf was amazing! Love the views!
As usual, we had a wonderful experience. I love bringing our out of town guests to Salty’s. The food is delicious, ambience is wonderful, and views spectacular! The only negative I have is the cost of the meals. I think the cost is outrageous for what you get. There was plenty of good, but I feel the cost is exorbitant.
But, again, the experience is wonderful!
We have been coming here for years and have always had a wonderful time. Tonight the service was pretty slow and out of touch, especially since the restaurant was quiet, and multiple dishes arrived lukewarm or appearing to have been poorly thrown together. It was a huge disappointment hopefully a fluke but for the money we spent, we won’t be coming back anytime soon for dinner.
The view was spectacular. The food was really good. The portions we're huge but it was a little expensive. The cocktails we're great. Our server was sweet. Over all it was really good. Definitely will come back.
As usual, brunch was delicious. For some reason the restaurant was very busy. We were seated over 30 minutes after our reservation time. Once seated, however, service and food were great!
The food and the experience is good as always. The service wasn’t good, though. We waited forever for drinks, and for refills (maybe because we didn’t order alcoholic drinks, which increase the tip?).
Out section was lacking service. The busser was good, and helped us out when we needed anything.
I believe that the service at Salty’s should be as good as the food and location.
View table and server Meghan was fantastic. Sunday brunch food selection is always great.
I had a trouble second experience at salty's. we had a terrible table. The brunch buffet was extremely full. Our dishes were not clear quickly. We had as repeated for refills. The seat setting was comfortable.
Overall everything was nice. We arrived early and they said to go have some coffee, hot chocolate and scones while we wait. Well...no hot chocolate, no scones and 2 mugs (5 in our party). We also asked if there was regular sugar for the coffee...the guy said no....ok. After we were seated everything was much better 😊
Great food and service to help celebrate two Birthdays.
Got seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. Reservation staff asked if we were celebrating something, and made sure to decorate the table w two balloons for my father’s birthday. Excellent views and friendly staff.
Our favorite brunch in Seattle
No special occasion but we wanted a nice sit down brunch. The cost is a little on the pricey side at about 67 bucks a head. They were also pretty up front with a request we limit our time to 1.5 hours. I really didn’t care for that but understand that they want to move people along. The food was great. And the views are also stunning.
Great food and view!
We were asked if we had anyone over 65 or under 13 in our party. We did have a senior, but the discount was not applied, even after asking the waitress to correct it on the bill, which she said she would do. The waitress charged our cards to the wrong table. We had already left the restaurant before it was discovered and had to return to get it all resolved. The table bussing was the slowest we’ve experienced from previous visits and we had one of the earliest reservations before it was crowded. The waitress put great effort in, and was attentive to drinks, but seemed a little overwhelmed. She did acknowledge two birthdays at our table and respected the elder lady at our table’s request to not have her birthday celebrated. We appreciate her accommodations and cheerfulness. The woman who made our crepe was FaceTiming a friend while she made it, which we thought was odd. The food was not as memorable as previous visits, but still the general “Salty’s” buffet experience. We watched a beautiful bald eagle soar from the window view, then snatched a seagull and devoured it in front of our view. Pretty much ruined our appetite after that!
You have to really like seafood A LOT to go here (sorry if that's already well-known). I took my partner who really loves it and I do like crab, so it worked out.
Good, however, our appetizer was forgotten about until we reminded our server (whom was a very lovely girl... very nice) and drink (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) orders were very delayed.
Overall, dinner was good, however, a bit over priced. Restaurant in great location, but needs up dating. It is starting to look a bit run down.
It was great! We were celebrating my aunts birthday and we were given a table with an amazing view! The manager was INCREDIBLY nice! Came back twice to ask us how we were doing and asked if there was anything he could do for us. Everyone was very friendly and the food was delicious!
Always a wonderful place for good food, great service and a tremendous view!
Great food, great variety, spectacular view of downtown Seattle, and a great waitress from Pittsburgh! All one could ask for. Parking a major problem, probably because of an event being held in the downstairs area. Made for a nice walk on a nice day.
