My party of 8 people arrived at 12:55. At 1:14 my party left the restaurant after we were not greeted or asked if we wanted drinks , appetizers, etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I rarely write reviews, but I want others to be aware. Our overall meal and experience were disappointing. The food was not good, not seasoned, not fresh, and didn't seem to fit with a place called "Saltwater". It was very overpriced for the low quality. We waited a long time for our first drink and the entrees. You can get way better food for equal or less cost. It was very unfortunate.

This was my first time. Service was top notch. Food was fabulous and the portions were larger than most restaurants of this caliber. The staff was very accommodating . One of our group brought her baby and another her young daughter . Staff opened the table and brought a high chair . Everyone was happy and in no way did we feel rushed .

Food was delicious. Outdoor seating was a little noisy with cars going by, but that was to be expected. It was my first time there and I would definitely go back and recommend it. I had pan seared salmon and a passionfruit frozen margarita. Absolutely delicious!

What a wonderful surprise to find this beautiful restaurant staffed by such knowledgeable folks! We've lived in the area for over 20 years and didn't realize there was a phenomenal seafood spot right in trendy SoNo! The food surpassed the expectations of each person in our party, and then some. From supremely fresh appetizers from the raw bar, to the calamari, to the whole fish -- everything blew us away -- and we are major foodies (in fact, we had a restaurant owner with us). We went around 7PM, and by the end of our extended meal, they were beginning to set up for what appeared to be a fun night ahead, complete with a cool DJ set-up. So, whether you want great seafood or want to party, head over to Saltwater Sono and you'll be glad you did.

Totally wowed our Pacific Northwest visitors with this splendid seafood spot. Our street-side table was perfect for keeping our 2.5-year-old transfixed for a leisurely 90-minute meal. The staff was great about swiftly setting up an umbrella for us when the setting sun got obtrusive. Most importantly, the food was divine. Only regret is not discovering it sooner!

The service was horrendous. Hard to get a glass of water. Waited 30 minutes for appetizer, 40 minutes for main meal, and 30 minutes for dishes to be cleared. Could not get anyone to even provide a dessert menu. Steak was overcooked but otherwise decent. Venue is nice, but management very poor. Would not be surprised if it went out of business with the way it seems to be run.

Food was solid, flavors were there. If I didn't have shell bits in my crab cakes, I would say it was even better. Walls were a dark blue, not the cheerful turquoise shown on website, so a bit dreary, but a fun theme, none the less. Service was excellent.

We came for our Easter brunch. We were not aware there would be a DJ but it was so much fun!!!! (A little loud at times for conversation but fun). Our waiter was so great and sweet and the food was amazing! Most of us had the lobster Benedict which was delicious!!!! Every person at our table cleared their plate. We also had a birthday and it was so special as the DJ played a fun Happy Birthday song and the waiter brought a dessert with sparklers! A good time. We will be back.

The service was pleasant and competent, and the food was decent. The atmosphere was nice but the typical frenetic and predictable rock music was too loud. We ate at the bar near the door because the thumping bass was intrusive in the back seating area. As the number of restaurants in the once-upscale center of SoNo have gone, this is one of the best options and is open in the mid-afternoon when few places are open. SoNo no longer has the cache and vibe it once had. Maybe it does at night but no longer during the day. But it is still hard to find a parking space.

This was our second visit. The menu includes many items we like at reasonable prices. It was quiet with a nice atmosphere. They were not busy and the service was excellent. The Thursday night Surf and Turf special was delicious and the portions very generous. We will return.

We love the atmosphere, food and the great staff. We like sitting in the booths which makes you feel and if you are in a beach cabana. If you want a cozy evening to talk with friends, the booths are great.

I have been to Saltwater twice for dinner and had two great meals and very good service. Went this past Sunday for Sunday brunch - we had a group of 12 people. We were the only ones in the restaurant for most of the brunch time and our food was not very good - all complained that the food was cold - my omelet was so cold the cheese was no longer melted by the time I received it. The Lobster Roll from the main menu was such a disappointment. I recommend for dinner but I would not advise anyone to go for brunch.

We have been twice on Wednesday nights when they offer a reasonable price fixe menu with a decent selection of $25 per bottle wine. I came out to a parking ticket after throwing a bunch of quarters in the machine...Big turn off to SONO!!

I have had so many excellent meals there. What I enjoy is sitting in the booths that reminds me of a beach cabana. In the booths it is cozy and you can have quiet conversations with your friends. Love the half price drinks and appetizers before 7 pm. But don't stop there, the entrees are even better. Love the spicy fish stew but all the fish dinners are excellent.
