    I do still love Saltine but I found the service kind of average this time around (might have been our guy's first day) and found the lobster roll a little on the skimpy side. Wanted to love it but it was just ok. Oysters, caesar salad, and she crab soup were very good however.

    The server was not interested in serving us. The food was just average food and it took 1 hour and 38 minutes to receive it. The mocktails were just like an average juice. Pricey for such an average food experience

    We’ve been to saltine in several times and this was our best experience. The food was at the best level we have had there. Previous visits we thought it was a bit overpriced for the quality. But not this time. All six of us enjoyed our entrées greatly. The smoked fish dip was the best we’ve had. And my husband and I are “smoked fish dip people“. We had to ask for extra crackers because there are never enough, no matter where you go. The crackers were a crispy flatbread with delicious seasonings and a baked egg coating. Top notch. All in all a great visit showing off Norfolk to our family.
