   I made my reservation several days in advance and requested one of the smaller rooms (beside the bar or at the front of the restaurant) for our party of 5. Even though the restaurant had several days' notice, we were placed in the large open room which was very noisy. A large family with several noisy children were soon seated at a table beside up. It made our experience a lot less pleasurable. This is why I specifically requested one of the small rooms where I did see tables available when we arrived. Also, the waitress, although good, must have been overwhelmed with customers as she was slow to take care of us and forgot a couple of things we asked for...not as attentive as we would have liked. Also, I added to my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. In the past when we have dined at Saltgrass, we were provided a complimentary desert. I asked the waitress if she had been informed about us celebrating a birthday and she said she was not. We learned they no longer offer the complimentary desert which is find. Now we know. The food was good, but our overall experience was not as good.

   Good experience other than 10 of us being packed into tables too small for us AND cramming in another group of 10 right next to us where the chair backs were touching.

   Our reservation was for 3 PM and we showed up at 245. By 325, we still hadn’t been seated. We had to ask for an update since the restaurant closed at 4. We watched at least 10 families come in after us and be seated before us. We observed several tables that could have been moved together to provide space for the 9 of us. 3 members ordered chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken and they all had the same complaint that the oil tasted old. Salt Grass is one of my favorite restaurants so I was very disappointed in the quality and the service before we reached our table. The one highlight was our waiter, Darius. He was kind, knowledgeable, apologetic when we were told the fryers had been shut down, prompt and funny.

    Wasn’t great. Normally better at this location. Food was average and service was poor. Had to wait probably 15 mins before server came to table when we first sat down.
