Food and service were below par from what we are used to at Salt Grass this time. We are not ones to call someone over to complain, however were never asked about the food by server to talk. Appetizer came after our salads, salmon was overcooked and dry, one steak was unseasoned, another was not cooked to order. Service was average. We usually go 4-5 times a year to this Salt Grass in Liberty and it's never been this poor overall.

Our reservation was for 5:30, we didn’t get seated until closer to 6. Order was taken quickly, appetizer and drinks arrived quickly…then we waited, and waited, and waited. At 6:30 my son needed to get up and walk, so we went outside to run around for 15 minutes. Then we waited more. My mom’s steak was cooked incorrectly, my baked potato was cold and the butter didn’t even melt. My son’s ribs looked dry and inedible. For $300 you expect more, especially in KC and from a steak house. Now I know and I won’t go back. At least we had a decent server who kept apologizing hand over foot for the kitchen being backed up.

Ants crawling all over the table. Manager was extremely unimpressive and just ignored us majority of the time. Never have seen a worse manager

My 1st experience amongst the hype for the restaurant was a family member’s birthday. The food came out way late, the server argued with the customer about the order in which the food came out and the food way barely like warm. It was my first and last time dropping good money on subpar service and food. What a utter disappointment:(

Was there on 3/28/25. Food is usually good but tonight who ever was cooking got heavy handed with the salt shaker. I had shrimp and mashed potatoes and a side salad. Husband had shrimp and bacon rapped fillet and mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes were so salty neither of us ate them. Shrimp was very salty so we tried scrapping the salt off. The steak was perfect though. We may wait awhile before we try it again!
