While our server and most entrees were great, the Country Fried Steak did not meet the expectations of some in our party.
To start, none in our group liked the appetizer bread. It wasn't bad, just not particularly tasty. The chicken tortilla soup was too salty. Everything else was good - salads, steaks, potatoes, fries, mac & cheese.
Our waitress was attentive, but to the point she was pushing us through our meal, and the restaurant wasn't tremendously busy. We were in a separate room with maybe 10+ tables, and it was just us and a couple at another table. I assume she was doing what management had advised the wait staff to do. Our entire group felt hurried along.
Overall, the entrees were good, service was attentive, but we won't likely go back.
Everything was excellent the service, the food and the atmosphere
My husband and I celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary there
our dinner date was amazing! The porterhouse steak was exceptional and the redfish top with sauteed shrimp tomatoes and crawfish was also amazing. we had a great dining experience and our server was awesome! food came out promptly and everything was just simply amazing we will definitely be back.
Great meal. Had a little trouble with the soda but it was replaced and all was fine. The cheese fries were a little over cooked but overall the food was great!
We had quick going cause service and food had gotten bad ! Heard it was under new management so decided to try again and glad we did ! Awesome !!
The food was cooked perfectly and tasted good, I just wish I had been able to eat it at a more relaxed pace. Dinner took less than an hour from seating to leaving. Salad and entree was brought at almost the same time.
Food was great service was ok and yes I will return 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😄😄👍😄😤👍👍😄😄😄👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It was my husband’s birthday
Everytime we go here, the food is great, service is great. We’re never disappointed!
Father’s Day & birthday celebration combined. Service was great. Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Was a very good experience. Everything took longer..getting seated, ordering, food being brought out but it was Father's day so we expected the wait... overall it was very enjoyable.
Great all around
There were hardly any people when we went at 7:30pm on a Friday. Took a while to get drinks but after that service was okay. Food tasted good. There was a fly on the railing next to me from the time we got there until we left.
Must always have a call ahead for seating, or you will have a wait.
The you you lady the served us was very informative about the menu and told us about the crawfish bread. It was amazing!,
Mostly all women working there. I saw only two men. No black workers that I saw.
Meal was good. Salmon was cooked to perfection. O e of the steaks was a bit under done but I’d go again.
Food was good, although it seems to be a struggle for any restuarant to serve mashed potatoes hot (they were lukewarm) Salad was cold and crisp, Steak was OK, not a great cut (New York Strip) but prepared well. Wife's steak was ordered well done but served medium well. Social distancing was not enforced even though there were plenty of empty tables. They were very few people there but the noise level was annoying (and I HATE country music). I would compare them with Outback or Longhorn but below Texas Roadhouse (another country music hell) and not even in the vicinity of a Ruth's Chris (but not nearly as expensive. Saltgrass id overrated and Landry's would be wise to see what works and what doesn't, the potential for a good restuarant is there. Service was adequate.
We felt very rushed! We ordered and salads were delivered. We weren’t even halfway through with them when the entrees arrived. We were still eating when the waiter brought us our check. We were done & paid in under 30 minutes.
Food was good, with the exception of salty seasoning on the upcharged asparagus.
We wanted an enjoyable dinner date, but got a very rushed experience.
I don’t believe we will be aiming to head back there anytime soon, unless I am truly in a hurry.
Great food. (We went early one evening and it was quite empty.) Friendly staff but service and timing was lacking. Took almost 30 minutes to get our appetizer. Our entrée came before our salads and then the server asked if we still wanted bread because that had not been brought out at the proper time either. (We didn't know we were even supposed to get bread since it was our first time dining at Saltgrass.) Overall, it was a good enough experience and we will visit again.
It was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was good. The only issue we had was the mashed potatoes as a side for one the the people in our party was not brought out without the entree. We had to ask the waitress to bring them after were already eating.
we've had an excellent service and dinner!thank you saltgrass....
Food was excellent and service very amiable. It was a little slow but the rush of guests at one time might ha e caused that. We were in the restaurant for 1,5 hours making us leave at 2:30, there were people still waiting to get in. The server kept us informed about the delays and did an excellent job catering to the 3.5 year old that was accustomed to waiting or a restaurant setting. So very pleased with the events that happened to our table.
It was our first time at one outside of Texas. It was as I remembered. Not a high end place, but very adequate.
Music was way too loud. Steak was bland but cooked well and tender. Great server.
Jennifer the Manager was fantastic and very attentive. Had a great conversation and very personable. Gavin was our server and did a fantastic job. Would dine here again. We were passing through from work headed home.
We always enjoy Saltgrass. Saturday night before 8 pm they get packed and the wait can be over anchor long. Always book a reservation. Also their card if you sign up for it - it helps push you ahead in the line.
Waiters/Waitresses and chef/kitchen need to be trained. Food Very Salty, Burger burned and chewy. Coke machine removed which is a shame because it was one of the only reasons we put up with the average food.
Perhaps it is the intent, but the steaks were slightly salty. Otherwise a wonderful evening.
Food was amazing from the appetizer to the cheesecake for desert. We ordered two bottles of wine, pinot grigio and symmetry, which was recommended by our waiter Nathan and the general manager. We loved the taste and it went well with the desert. Nathan did an amazing job as always. He is the best waiter we have ever had. We love this place and look forward to returning.
It was fantastic. Our server was amazing. He was terrific.
We love the wedge salad and ribs. We were seated immediately and the service, and food, were great.
Everything was wonderful will definitely be coming back. Thank you
I had the special of the day which was redfish. It was really good and the service was great.
Amazing service, amazing food, amazing prices!!! I will return next time I’m in the area. I’ve spent more at other places and haven’t received the service I received here. Thank you
Good food and service.
The steak we had was really good . . . overall it is a great experience.
My first time and it was very Pleasant. The food was very good quality and melted in your mouth.
We had a reservation and was seated shortly after the time of the reservation. This was certainly not an issue for us. Once seated, we received excellent service and the food was delicious. We will be returning!!
