Salt Yard is an award-winning charcuterie bar and restaurant serving modern tapas inspired by the flavours and produce of Spain and Italy.

The tapas are complemented by charcuterie and cheese boards and we have a wide selection of excellent wines and sherries. Flexibility is key to Salt Yard. Customers can enjoy a full spread of tapas: or come in simply for a glass of red wine and a plate of cheese, a coffee and a delicious pudding, or even just a perfect martini and a handful of Marcona almonds.

The food was good, but the service wasn’t. For me, the food was overpriced. I ordered the Courgette Flower, and only received one piece - I think there should be at least 3 pieces of each dish in order to share. I don’t drink, so I had fruit juice and it was bad quality. I feel if the prices are what they are per dish, you should have the rest of the menu match that. When my Dad ordered an alcoholic drink, the bartender used the last of the bottle, but it didn’t seem like enough to fill a full measure (I have worked in bars for 8 years), and he didn’t top it up with anything. One of the waiters placed a dish down very abruptly, no eye contact, no words and straight on top of my Dads birthday cards - which then had marks on them. Couple of other things too but overall, not worth the money. Ah also the pistachio cheesecake didn’t taste of pistachio at all :) just had some sprinkled on top. Churros were very traditional though, I liked them

First and last vist to salt yard unfortunately we had the duck steak and lamb all overcooked and to heavy on spice did not compliment the dishes at all we had other small dishes was ok the prawns were lovely and the pistachio burnt basque cheesecake but other then that I dont rate it at all The staff very friendly but the food not up to scratch

Decided to reserve a table as we were visiting London, from the moment we arrived to leaving the service was impeccable and the food was cooked to perfection, would highly recommend a visit.

I booked a table for 2 more than 10 days in advance, to celebrate my partners birthday. We were both very excited, but when we arrived we were shown to a table in the basement, pressed up near the pass and under a bright white spotlight. The rest of the restaurant is dimly lit and intimate, so this was a shame. We had to keep making space for the wait staff collecting food from the pass squeezing past us, and it was so noisy we had to shout to eachother. We asked if we could move and the waitress told me "if you want to stay, stay. If you want to go, go." I found this to be pretty rude. Salt yard is quite high priced and this was a special occasion, I wasn't prepared to drop £150+ on such a dining experience, so we left. A real shame, I understand that it was Friday night and busy but cramming in as many people as possible just wasn't a nice atmosphere. I had been here previously with colleagues and had a lovely time, upstairs. Maybe because we weren't a big group this time we weren't considered as much of a priority.

The food is fabulous - great flavours. The plates are very small, so really need to order 3 per person plus bread.

This is a really good tapas place! There's almost too much restaurant choice in London, which makes it easy to be disappointed, but I would recommend Salt Yard wholeheartedly - friendly team, great food, cosy atmosphere. Definitely returning!
