Shockingly bad... Despite notifying them that one of our party was Coeliac and therefore gluten free in advance we were told initially by the waitress that she could not eat virtually anything. The second waitress was trying harder but still unclear. The menu is impenetrable and unclear regarding allergens, and the staff totally unaware of what’s actually in the food. There is simply no excuse for this in such a supposedly high end restaurant these days. Meanwhile the chefs behind the counter were all on their phones looking totally disinterested and bored. So we left - and went next door to Hawksmoor - and had a completely different experience - great service & great food. Take some lessons from the professionals and get your staff trained properly.

We were really surprised at what a let down this was…..the food was nice, however you cannot charge that much for such small dishes of food, yet provide such bad levels of service. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day.

Great food & service as always. I been eating at saltyard/opera tavern for years and they never fail to deliver. Salt Yard Borough is in a great location and probably serve the best courgette flower out of all of the them! Wine list is reasonably priced and decent selection. Can’t wait to go back

Great food great service - all super . But was chased off table after 2 hours and no one arrived- so get we only had the table for 2 hours but it was all rushed when no one arrived - better judgement- Otherwise it wax brilliant

We had a lovely early evening family meal on Easter Sunday, so please they were open as many places closed early. Extremely polite and helpful staff, service was very good and a nice atmosphere. Two of us had the Sunday special set menu which was very nice and good value for money.
