You don't need to be a whisky stalwart to appreciate this super chic whisky bar on the Edgware Road. Home to over 200 whiskies and bourbons, as well as bespoke champagne cocktails, Salt has sped to the top of the stylish venue list for product launches, private screenings and so on. If you think it would suit your event, and you have 20 to 90 guests, then it's definitely worth enquiring about exclusive hire. Terry Durack of the Independent on Sunday liked Salt rather a lot (it made him feel good), and we certainly do too.

It’s a bit scruffy, the food is very overpriced, tandoori platter was especially disappointing. Whisky selection is great though, but this still wouldn’t persuade me to go back.

The food here , esp Indian starters are delicious. i always ask for aloo tikki chat and pav bhaji and consistently it has been tasty. this time we asked for chilli paneer starter and it was tasty too. the main course if fine too. Salt has an amazing list of whiskeys which i like and also lots of other alcohol. we were 5 who went for dinner and would have liked a table outside because 2 of our friends like shisha. but they wouldn't give us a table outside because wanted us to take 2 shishas atleast to get a table outside. surely if we are having dinner and then one shisha that should have been considered because it is not the case that we were just going to order one shisha and block a table for hours. we were also ordering food. they should consider this going forward because we come to Salt bar for food and shisha but not everyone does shisha. So dont make us choose between only food or shisha!

I love the ambience of this place, has got both outdoor and indoor seating. Very nice selection of Whisky, the largest I have ever seen. I'd definitely come back to try more options. We tried the Vegetarian dishes and can definitely recommend them, especially the Veg Thaali. One of the best gulab-jamun I have had in Central London!

An enjoyable 'Girls night out' - v good selection of cocktails & mocktails. Tasty Indian food, right for sharing. Had a table inside & the ambience was a little lacking/quiet - probably because it was a Monday.

Sampled a few of the huge range of Mal Whiskies that are on offer at this establishment - the food that we ordered to accompany was very tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. I would not hesitate to come here again!

Great whisky bar in London, the place while not what you would call chic does farely well. We were well attended, they recommended different whisky tasting experiences. The food is Indian cuisine and was good too. Bottom line, is you love whisky, this is a place you must visit, at least a 10 page menu variety awaits.
