Salt on Mass
This was amazing. The manager, servers, and all around staff were great. Atmosphere is so clean and relaxing.
Our waitress, Calista, was wonderful! She had great recommendations for us as well as being very knowledgeable of the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and evening.
Dori was great a
Always outstanding. Great value. Very good service! Best fish restaurant in Indy (entire greater Indy)!
Very accommodating with seating and time. Exceptional food and great service. I would definitely say that their seafood preparation and presentation is the best that I have had in Indy.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Waitress was having some trouble keeping up and took awhile to get to us. Manger noticed this and bought a round of drinks. Overall it was a great experience and you could tell that the manager cares about his customers!
Great food. Great atmosphere and great location. Not sure why it wasn’t packed. We had a great time
Great food, we opted for one of the daily features and the snapper was fantastic!
We arrived & were seated right away. Unfortunately there was a mishap & the hostess didn’t check us in or inform the waitstaff. Once the manager was notified, he rectified quickly! He comped us 2 fabulous drinks & then we had a fantastic dinner! Both the shrimp cocktail & the calamari were crazy good. The halibut & salmon entrees were substantial and tasty! Both came with sides & the fish camp grits were so scrumptious!!! Even though it was a slow start, will absolutely dine there again! Select, fresh food with a great ambiance 🙂
Great food and service!
Food was amazing. Our server was awesome. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Definitely can’t wait to return.
The food was good, not great. Some guy sitting at the bar kept screaming at the football game on TV which was annoying. Fried Green Tomatoes were bland - missing some soul for sure. Lobster Mac was good.
We enjoyed our evening. The food was amazing — both in taste and presentation. We did not feel rushed, and the service was on par with what we expected. The ambiance was perfect.
Went in a party of 6. Outstanding food. Good service for the most part. It seemed at times the server had too many guests and the meal took over 2.5 hours. It didn’t seem that long but it was a long meal. Had to cancel our escape room.
My wife and I have dined at Salt many times. I have always found the dining experience to be very good. With that being said, the dining experience we had on Friday 8/30 was phenomenal. I had the red snapper with scallops. I would rank this meal up against any I have had in my lifetime. The snapper was over the top delicious and Salt may serve the best scallops in the country. My wife ordered off the Devour Indy menu and had the chicken fried chicken. She found this to be an excellent choice. As always the cocktails were superb. Salt continues to a great dining experience both in food preparation and ambiance.
First time there and it didn't disappoint. Three couples all enjoyed there specialty cocktails and the entrees were excellent
It was just OK. The Salmon Sashimi was less than desirable. The scallops were good. We ordered Brussels Sprouts and didn’t get them.
This restaurant is an absolute jewel. The venue, atmosphere, location, cuisine, drinks and service make for a truly wonderful experience. The cuisine is dynamic, novel and unlike anything else. The atmosphere is pleasant, energetic and private all the same. The location allow for people watching and a view of downtown with a friendly "walk up" feeling. Salt is an absolute favorite and a go-to place for dinner, a trip downtown, or to host out of town guests - they will be impressed!
Wonderful food, excellent service, pleasant environment
We thoroughly enjoyed the bright, airy surroundings and modern vibe. Arriving early, we had time to enjoy a cocktail and peruse the menu, which contains many choices. Devour Indy was happening, which I wish I had chosen as I could have tried several different offerings in smaller quantities. We were not rushed but as the restaurant filled our entree was delayed slightly, but food was hot, fresh and delicious. We will be returning.
As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by one of the owner/partners. Seating was immediate. Our server was not great compared to our previous visit. Food was excellent, as usual. Wish they had a few more options for those who eat LCHF/Keto. I had the shrimp cocktail and tried not to eat the cocktail sauce. Would love to have had a broader variety for the way I eat. My husband had scallops with risotto and both were excellent. We will go back but hope to be seated in a different server’s section.
Good design & food and outstanding service allowing us to move to an outside table where a balmy evening enhanced the meal
The atmosphere was beautiful, staff very courteous & food was awesome!
It was nice. Quiet. My guest and I sat on higher tables (a table with tall barstools), but the chairs were comfy able. Good service. Nice views of Mass Ave and the Murat from out table. Nice ambience...felt like I was in a nice Floridian restaurant due to the seaside feel of the restaurant. Pretty good old fashions too.
We had a very enjoyable evening at Salt on Mass prior to a show. This was a first time visit for us, but we will definitely return. Sea Bass and key lime pie were outstanding.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal before a Colts game. The server said they were a "boat to table" restaurant, and the seafood was extremely fresh. The presentation was also very good. Service was attentive but not overbearing. It is a bit on the pricey side, but we kind of expected that for fresh seafood in Indiana. We will definitely be back.
Food was tasty and ambience was great
The Filet was absolutely phenomenal!!! The service impeccable, my partner is dairy free and they went over the top to accommodate.
I had coworkers in from NY, Boston and Chicago and this was the perfect atmosphere for our group. Great food and amazing customer service, I will definitely bring my customers and other coworkers back!
Any seafood offered is the star of their show. Yum!
The worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Empty restaurant but still took almost 2 hours to be served salad. Left before receiving entrees because it had been too long and we were late for an event. Slow, bad service and kitchen which was perplexing due to the place being EMPTY. Was there with out of town colleagues - thank god we didn’t have customers with us.
A shame because the food is supposedly phenomenal. I can’t say, since I didn’t get to eat the food.
The food was wonderful and so was the atmosphere. The only complaint I would have is that the waitress was chewing gum the whole time and it was pretty distracting. I
Food was okay, nothing amazing. They didn’t even give a complimentary dessert to the two gentlemen celebrating their 40th birthdays in our party.
Highly recommend the sashimi salt block and the poke. So so good! My friend had the halibut and it was great and the risotto so flavorful. Brussel sprouts just okay to me. Cheese grits very rich.
Let me first say I do not like seafood of any kind. I went here because my boyfriend loves fish. Our waiter was Jay who was also outstanding! I have multiple food allergies and he was so accommodating to get me answers to my questions. So then I ordered the Asiago encrusted halibut on the Parmesan risotto. OMG!! it was so delicious! I cannot wait to go back! I’m now at least a halibut lover!
First time there - had heard good things about it! Food was excellent- cauliflower too spicy for me but my husband loved it. Everything else was yummy! Friendly servers and patrons - our kind of place! We’ll go back!!!
The decor was very cool. We went for an anniversary dinner at 7:00, when we got there was one other table (of 2 people). Took almost 25 minutes to get drinks. A 2 Top and a 4 Top arrived after us, and yet received their appetizers and meals before us. The waiters comment when I asked why the service was so slow, was “I didn’t know you were in a hurry”. Our water glasses were empty twice, including when we left. I also mentioned that I was getting drops of water from the ceiling on me, and his answer was that the air conditioning was working hard. When we left, I saw a drink special advertised outside by the door but the server never mentioned it (I probably would have ordered it)
I had a filet with crab meat, was fantastic. Wife had halibut, she loved it ! But a side of broccolini was $10..so overall felt was overpriced, though very, very good.
When we left at 8:45 PM (almost 2 hours), there was nobody there except a 2 top, and a tab for $132.00 with no desert, and one special cocktail.
Excellent seafood and professional, prompt service. Will definitely dine there again.
The food and service was absolutely perfect. Our waitress Victoria went above and beyond. This is one of the best kept secrets in Indianapolis. This is our new favorite restaurant!
We had amazing service and food was phenomenal! Absolutely love the ambiance and vibe
