Popina has become our go-to spot for team lunches when there's a special occasion. The food is absolutely outstanding! It's a little pricey for everyday outings, but if you're looking to celebrate something this is the place to go.

We chose Popina while looking for somewhere close to the Opera House that wasn't touristy. We were delightfully surprised. Much more than a good location, the food was amazing. The best gluten free pizza base I've tasted. Everything was fresh and tasty. Delicious chocolate torte dessert (also gf). Nice wine list. We will be back.

Unfortunately the highly recommended Popping menu had been redone at lunch time and the "hummus you just have to get" was taken off the menu. Gnocci was doughy and a very small serve, pizza was wet and soggy. Such a shame, was looking forward to a much better experience!

There were 8 of us, two of whom had been there before. The food was amazing. I had the wild mushroom risotto which was delicious -full of flavour. Three people had the barramundi which they all loved. Everybody enjoyed what they had. The wine was a Pinot Grigio from Orange which went well with all of our meals. The service was friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome there. The only downside was the noise. It was difficult for eight of us to talk to each other. All modern restaurants need to have some sort of soft furnishings to help absorb the noise from surrounding tables.

It was the first time to visit the Gateway, of course it was the first time to have a dinner with friends who came from Brisbane at the Popina. We enjoyed it very much especially service.
