Salt + Stone is kicking off the summer with a morning of movement, mindfulness, and mimosas. On Sunday, June 29, 2025, guests are invited to Assembly Row for “Fitness, Brunch + Chill”—a wellness experience featuring Boston-based fitness instructor and media personality Margaret Cresta-Griffin (@sovigor) and her high-energy full-body workout, SWEAT ENRGY. To celebrate Professional Wellness Month, this event encourages participants to prioritize self-care and work-life balance—starting with an invigorating group workout. Margaret will lead guests through a dynamic session combining strength training, bursts of cardio, and a grounding one-minute meditation to close it out. Then, it’s time to brunch. Guests will refuel with a spread of fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt parfaits, and more—all included in the ticket price. À la carte upgrades are available, including Salt + Stone’s signature brunch items like: Creme Brulee French Toast - Cinnamon bread, egg, cream, fresh fruit, Vermont maple syrup, whipped cream, powdered sugar. Huevos Rancheros - Sunny side eggs, refried black beans, sliced avocado, pico de gallo, ranchero sauce, guacamole, shredded mozzarella, and corn tortilla chips. Crab Cake Eggs Benedict – Farm-raised Poached eggs, toasted English muffin, house made crabcakes and hollandaise. And cocktails: Cherry Blossom – Roku Japanese Gin, Elderflower, Kalamansi, Cherry Purée, Lemon Teatime in Wonderland – Hanson Cucumber Vodka, Elderflower, Aquavit, Chamomile Dragon Fruit Syrup, Sparkling White Tea The Solstice – Tito’s Vodka, House-made Orange Vanilla Sage Syrup, Ginger Beer, Blood Orange Juice Non-alcoholic options like fresh juices, teas, spritzers, and the full brunch menu will also be available for purchase. The food was good, but if you’re looking to have a quiet place to catch up with friends, this is not the environment. It was beyond loud. My friend and I could barely hear one another.

Reservation through Open table did not indicate there was a choice to sit either inside or outside in a sidewalk tent. I refused the tent table. They then told me I would need to wait I hour for another table. I told them I refused to accept that requirement because I had a valid reservation for now. They sent over a manager who argued with me for 10 minutes before I insisted on an open table right next to us. They said it was reserved and I said, yes, now, for me. They finally gave me that table, but said we had to be finished in 90 mins. I agreed. However. The table next us opened and bo one ever sat at it, or came for our table. So the manager’s argument was false and ridiculous. The server and the food were great.

However, we’re sorry to learn about the misunderstanding regarding your reservation and seating. To clarify, we offer several options when booking a table: Enclosed Heated Patio Pavilion and Indoor Dining Room. When indoor seating is fully booked, the outdoor pavilion may be the only available option, which is what was reserved for your party. We always strive to accommodate guests who are unhappy with their table assignment, but as you can imagine, this can be challenging on a busy night. Our hostess and manager did their best to assist your party. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Despite having a reservation, and numerous tables open inside, we were told there were no open tables inside. We were there from 5-7 and several tables remained open inside the restaurant the entire time. We were seated outside, where the whole area smelled strongly of cleaner. Other diners left due to the smell. The manager was informed, inspected, and stated he did not smell anything. We requested a 4 top table as the two tops were tiny and sitting in pools of the smelly cleaner, and were told the others were all reserved. There were a doze 4 too tables. During out 2 hour dinner, four were sat, each with only two guests! After a second request, the hostess returned and kindly moved us to a 4 top...but it was a struggle and we were left standing waiting uncomfortably for an answer for several minutes. Requested a medium burger and it was deliver very well done. The waitress never returned to check if our food was to our liking, and we didn't receive a refill on water. This was my first time here

Kathryn, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry your recent visit to Salt + Stone was less than perfect. Reservations can be tricky, as tables may appear available when they’re actually booked. Open Table automatically reserves a table for 2 first, though we recognize that sometimes guests prefer a more specious table. We’re glad our hostess was able to accommodate you by moving you once a larger table opened up. We appreciate you mentioning the cleaning smell and will address it with our crew—it should never overpower the wonderful aromas from our kitchen. We also apologize for the service issues. Burgers should be cooked to order, and salt should be on every table. We hope you’ll be back to give us another chance to provide the exceptional experience we strive for Salt + Stone

Really enjoyed the food and experience. They paid very careful attention to my husbands allergies. The portion sizes were excellent - plenty for leftovers!

I enjoyed my meal and the service was really good. My only criticism was that it was really loud. We had a large party behind us and they were so rambunctious that the manager actually came up to speak to them. They were a bit less noisy after that but they made it hard for us to enjoy our meal. Still, I would recommend the restaurant. Glad I decided to check it out.
