16oz Grilled Delmonico Steak
My wife and I had the Clothline Bacon and Fried Calamari for our appetizer. Both were amazing not one complaint. For dinner we both had the Delmonico 16oz Ribeye and was it cooked a perfect medium just how we both like it. It was still very juicy. We shared the fried rice which was great also. The bartender also makes a great Long Island. Newly renovated and very relaxing environment. Service was perfect and they did not rush us like most restaurants do nowadays. We will definitely he back soon.
Food and service was excellent incredible Tomahawk steak
Celebrated our anniversary with lobster ravioli and 12 oz filet mignon both were delicious. Dessert was strawberry shortcake napoleon and cheesecake pops
We had such a wonderful time. Our server, Matthew, made us feel so welcomed and gave us great recommendations. Highly recommend! PS: get the porterhouse
We were underwhelmed. Over priced and poor service. Food runners delivered our food to incorrect tables 3 times. Food was average. I do understand that it may be difficult to hire adequate staff at this time, but for these prices exceptional service is expected. Perhaps managers should provide training to staff. It seems that staff was just going through the motions.
All the food was really good but it is a little to pricey. I’m not a cheap person, my bill was $480 for 2 adults and 2 little kids. Just my steak was $150, I’m a foodie, yes I had the Rib Cap steak. Overall a great spot but a little pricey!
A solid 9 - bit noisy but tolerable - great welcome / great great service / great food with one exception (clams casino bitter and basically just a nicely steamed clam )
DEFINATELY return - classy but not over the top - very relaxing , unrushed
Food was phenomenal and service too. We sat outside and the patio is covered so rain didn’t bother us. Overall great experience.
way over priced! won’t be back! $450 for fish and steak.
Perfect night on the patio
Celebrating my wife’s birthday with good friends. Table was on the porch, beautiful night, great service and everyone enjoyed their entrees. I had the bone in steak. Excellent
Feels the the entire restaurant is a bar. Loud, busy, people right next to us at standing table while we were sitting. Uncomfortable seating arrangements. For the price I felt the at atmosphere makes it not worth the value. This was a Thursday night.
Finest dinning and service in Saratoga!
A must for anyone looking for a first class dinning experience!
Food was awesome!! NY Strip was cooked perfect and tasted amazing!
Perfectly prepared steak was the highlight but the attentive service and ambiance makes it a must for Saratoga Springs.
Place looks great !!! Location is terrific !!! Service was great !!!
The waiter was great. Dinner was a bit salty. Lobster ravioli not appealingly plated.
Food was amazing, service was amazing and the ambiance was excellent. We truly loved our dinner here!
We had a fantastic dinner. We all had steaks and they were cooked perfectly. The truffle sauce was great and sides were delicious.
Love this restaurant. Food always excellent no matter what we order and the service superb.
Salt and Char has beautiful decor, was clean, had great friendly service and the food was excellent. I highly recommend—and, it should be noted, that I’m generally hard to impress!
I cannot say enough about the fantastic food and the most incredibly thoughtful and attentive staff here.
Special shout out to our server Carly who made all of the six Towers sisters rave at her warm and friendly
Great spot! The restaurant was newly renovated. Food is excellent. Appetizer portions are small, so plan to order a few different items.
We were out of towners, googled restaurants, menu looked interesting. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. But the menu didn’t match the atmosphere. Do not go there if you are looking for a quiet dinner. It was a little confusing thinking it was fine dining but to get there to be seated in the middle of a bar scene. The restaurant is overall very nice, ei. design, food and drinks. Recommend the clothesline bacon for an app. The steaks were cooked as ordered, and crab legs were good but would’ve been better if the butter was kept warm over a flame.
An outstanding restaurant. Creative menu, everything local sourced. Steaks are world class, but we went through all apps. Oysters, lobster dumpling, gazpacho, and closline bacon.
Service is outstanding from greeting to departure. Pricey but more than worth it.
Food was good, our waiter was good. Very noisy in the bar area. Food did take longer than I expected.
Sadly disappointed in all aspects of our experience. We visited this restaurant a few years ago and had a fabulous meal. Last night was horrible. To begin with the renovation was terrible. You take a glorious turn of the century building and you walk in to a mediocre contemporary room.....Just isn't right! Then the acoustics were ridiculous. Couldn't even hear the person sitting next to me talk ...let alone the other table of 6 people. Now down to the food. My $18 baked potato with a lobster tail (LOL) was a joke. My potato had obviously been baked at a much earlier time...like maybe the day before. It was cold, dry and tasteless. The tiny lobster claw meat was ok. Absolutely no effort was made to even make this dish look tasty. Appeared to be just butter in the bottom of the dish. Had to ask for salt to try to create some semblance of a taste....and the pittyful shaker (3 tiny holes) was clogged. I tasted my husbands asparagus...which was just plain bitter. His steak was OK he said. LOL. What on earth hopped to this restaurant??
Very nice food, but I was frustrated they tried to seat me in the bar area, despite my having a reservation several days in advance. They then seated me next to a loud family. Also I had a new server for every item; drinks, appetizer, main meal, and check. I had no idea who my server was! Better organization is needed.
Amazing dining experience! Food and drinks were delicious and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our servers were knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Salt and Char is a must try when in Saratoga, you won’t be disappointed!!!
Place was very nice , the food was good don’t get the angry lobster with the bake potato, nothing special, just a ordinary bake potato with a very small piece of lobster on top , like I said nothing special, ordered a bottle of wine they didn’t have what I ordered on the menu , ( why have something on the menu if u don’t have it in stock) service was great , very loud inside very hard to hear someone talking across the table
Everything was very good … Nothing outstanding … was able to get a reservation for one at a decent time, albeit in the bar area …
Overall, everything was very good and we will definitely be back. Our dinner order was missing a side of shrimp - we were told it would be a while for it to be prepared after we let our server know….We decided not to wait & it was taken off the bill with no problem. Our server was super friendly - overall we really enjoyed our experience!
Our Daughters Sweet 16 with Family!!
Great waitress, loved the ambiance but portions were very small even with the cocktails .
The restaurant is beautiful with a clean, modern decor that features horses, of course. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The tomahawk steak was delicious and more than enough for two, and paired well with the sautéed mushrooms. The cocktail choices were all interesting and wine list was small but impressive. It made the first night of our Saratoga stay memorable.
Celebrated 40th anniversary and we were dressed accordingly for the occasion and they initially seated us in the bar area with those in shorts, television on and very loud. We requested to be seated in the dining area. It appeared that hostess was not overly pleased.
Finally we were properly seated, the meal was fabulous be and our waitress was very professional and good.
Later another mature couple beautifully dressed and they sat them in the bar area when there were available seating in the more appropriate dining area.
They need to train the staff better and they need to require more appropriate dress code for their guests.
Shorts, Sanders and non colored nor tucked shirts should be discouraged.
They need to identify what kind of establishment they want to be.
The food was crazy good and the staff worked really well as a complete team. Loved everything!
Great food. Service seemed understaffed. Great ambiance. Outdoor seating is the best.
