   This was my anniversary dinner. Reservation was made in March. They closed for renovations and never let me know they had cancelled my reservation. INCREDIBLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

   At one point we had 4 diamonds steak restaurant in Virginia Beach - Salacia.... Not anymore! The menu changed so much, that there is almost nothing you can choose of...and also we told they are planning to “simplify the menu“ even more. The quality of food , such as lobster bisque - was very thick without any taste and cold; lobster teriyaki - very small pieces with a lot of dough; meet, potato - were cold... The food was very overpriced!!! Hopefully, at one day we will have back our Salacia...Good luck Chef!

   Michael was our waiter and he was very helpful. We shared a steak and sides and it was plenty of food. The steak could have been warmer but we chose not to complain, it was cooked to perfection. This is a great restaurant to go to if you are celebrating a special occasion.

   I called to make reservations for 2 plus a highchair. When I arrived they said kids must be over 7 years old. My child is 2. It took a conversation with the host but they did seat us. Other than the initial mixup everything turned out ok.

   Best steaks and service in VA Beach. Mike, our waiter, did a great job and everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

   We have eaten here several times over the years and although the food quality and service seem to remain consistently good, the operation isn't as impressive as when it first opened --- it is definitely not a memorable dinning event that one would expect for the price.

   Though the service and food were good, they were overshadowed by the comfortable closeness of the tables for 2. You couldn't help to overhear and be heard by your neighbor. Overall quite noisy. The $32 price for the SMALL add on lobster was excessive. The beer was warm and the bread was not. The ladies room was a mess and out of paper. Not exactly a fine dining

   What happened? The service was subpar. It took quite awhile to order and they were out of several main entrees. We had to ask for alcohol and our appetizers were on the table before we ordered our main course. Will not go back again and we have been going we quite some time.

   Ordered the Delmonico steak, it came out cold. Ordered truffle mac and cheese, there were no truffles. The creamed spinach was awful, actually inedible. My steak was simply cooked on a flat top and had no flavor. Oysters rock was bland, rubbery and horrible. Ordered bottle of wine and the first 2 that were on menu were not available, this isn't a big deal just another reason to be unhappy. I was a return customer. This visit was terrible and I will not be going back. I have already told several friends to go somewhere else. It is sadly a big let down of what it previously used to be.

    I was referred by a friend to come to this establishment for my girlfriend birthday. First issue, the waiter was perceived to not be attentive to my girlfriend and I. Second issue, it smelled like cigarette smoke where we set. Third issue, I had a piece of hair embedded in my filet mignon (Oscar) entree and the loaded bake potatoes was over cooked. The waiter took our entrees back to the kitchen and we waited an additional 30-40 minutes to get fresh food, however we missed our movie because of the inconvenience. I was slightly disappointed because I was trying to impress my woman on her special day! I was discounted for 2 affordable drinks and a dessert I would never had order. After all that the waitress ran out of salacia to put her middle finger up, no I left no tip!!! Can corporate contact me please
