   I have been to Sakana several times now and the food ranges from okay to good…depends on the chef cooking for you. The service is definitely RUSHED. The second you sit down someone is standing there with a note pad and pen asking for your order. When you order your drinks and ask for a few minutes to look at the menu…they bring the drinks two minutes later…along with the pad and pen and ask for your order again. This happens every 2 minutes until you order. During my last visit, the soup and salad and chef all came out at the same time. Normally it is done separately. As soon as the chef left, while we were still eating…we were asked if we wanted boxes and ice cream. When we declined the ice cream, the bill was left at the table. I gladly accepted a to go box…put most of my meal in it…paid the bill and left. I don’t know if it was rushed like this because we went early…but I won’t be back for a while at least.

   I like this place. I have dined here several times now. My one issue is feeling rushed to order. As soon as you sit down and open the menu, which is pretty large and filled with a lot of choices, they ask for your order and then come back every 2 to 3 minutes to try to take your order....even if the hibachi table isn't filled yet. The food is good, sushi is very fresh!

   We were seated right away, even though two people from our party canceled at the last minute. The waitress came over to our table and took our drink order very quickly and had our appetizers in no time. The chef was a lot of fun and even made a balloon sword for our daughter. My daughter made a huge mess and they were so kind when we offered to sweep up - they refused to let us clean up. The food was very good and the portions were huge! We each had more than two meals! I will definitely be back.

   The food was mediocre as well as the service. Although the hibachi area is separate from the dining area the noise level for the hibachi area carried to the dining area, at times it got very noisy. At one point the restaurant got busy and the waitress who was waiting our table had to service other tables as well making her availability to us less. I didn’t understand this as to there were many other waitresses just standing around.
