An adventure for the senses - on my birthday, nonetheless! My wife and I were lucky enough to enjoy an unforgettable meal and experience at Saint-Germain. Chefs Blake Aguillard and Trey Smith obviously take great care in sharing their inventive creations without an ounce of stuffiness. The front of house staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxed and intimate. The coursed tasting menu changes periodically, but anything that comes out of this little shotgun will leave you wanting more. They also offer bar fare and a happy hour, which we are excited to check out soon. We can’t wait to return!
It was a great experience for my birthday dinner. Only problem was there was a 4 top table that came in for 9:00pm that was obnoxiously loud. Otherwise, the food, service and experience was great.

The best meal we've had in a long time, including a couple of Michelin one-stars in Provence last summer. The restaurant only operates 6-10 Th-Sat. There's a choice between a 3-course menu and a 5-course menu. That's it. We had the five ($79), and every one was fabulous. White asparagus; a dried venison tartare, a chicken broth with mushrooms, peas and a touch of foie gras; black cod; and a strawberry dessert. The menu changes daily. Reservations are hard to come by. You might call and inquire about cancellations. This is a serious "foodies" place. If you're the kind of person who complains about small portions, don't bother. But, in fact, the total--given the richness of the food-- is quite filling. This is a fabulous addition to New Orleans dining.
We had an excellent experience at Saint-Germain. They offered a 3 or 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings as well as a bread service and amuse bouche. Every ingredient was so perfectly chosen and paired to create beautiful and delicious courses. Portions weren’t huge, but that allowed the unique flavors in each dish to really shine. The dining room had only 5 tables so noise levels were low. The chef came out for each dish to describe each ingredient, which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend for anyone with an appreciation for good food and great experience.
Absolutely loved everything about this meal and experience. The space is inviting, the service was warm and the food was incredible. Thrilled to have this gem in our neighborhood and wish them great success.

Many newer restaurants attempt to seem creative, and explain every little detail to you, but fail spectacularly when it comes to flavor, not counting salt. Saint-Germain is not one of those restaurants. The preparation of every dish on the small daily menu is explained, and every detail is reflected in the taste of the food itself. I had an exquisite Venison tartare and grilled lobster, both cooked to perfection and the correct temperature. They culture their own butter, and as a result it has deep flavor and a nutty aroma.
I also have to say that the wines by the glass were amazing.. you will likely not have heard of them, but they were obviously chosen to pair well with the food, and they did. The portions were huge for the price, and the service was attentive, yet casual. You will definitely be challenged, in the best way, and feel great afterwards.
This is the best meal i have ever had. I have eaten at several Michelin Star restaurants all over the world, and my experience at Saint Germain was my favorite and best ever. The cocktails are carefully crafted, and the bar and patio are lovely. The dining room only seats 12 providing an intimate opportunity for you to have your meal cooked by the chefs and owners as you order it. The lobster we ate was live when we came into the dining room, symbolizing the true freshness brought into every. I recommend doing a tasting menu- our table tried 9 courses and each one was perfection. True artistry for the palette.

Dining here was an outstanding experience on all levels. I found that the food was truly inspired and the result of a lot of love and knowledge. I would highly recommend this out-of-the-way special place in the Bywater.
Outstanding unique fare in a quaint house on St Claude. The menu changes often but it’s very apparent the level of skill and thought which goes into each dish.
The service is attentive and knowledgeable. The chefs will also come out with your food and explain some of the methods and flavors.
It’s a 16 seat dining room which allows for the more personalized attention and certainly for the level of attention to detail each dish and plating requires. That being said reservations have been tough to come by
It was slightly warm in the dining room and I expect it may be difficult to keep it cool as the summer ramps up especially being right off the kitchen. It’s casual dress though and you can always lose the jacket
The food is the star here and it’s really worth the effort to make the reservations.
I am having a very hard time coming up with a dining experience that is even on par with Saint-Germain. It is that incredible.
Incredibly innovative food in a quiet little dining room, that has bohemian vibe while remaining fine dining kind of feel. The staff is absolutely great!

Never thought I’d say this about a salad but the salad was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, trust me - you have to get it! Everything was beyond outstanding, such a great addition to our city!
This was one of the top dinner experiences of my life. Outstanding all the way around from food, service and wine pairings everything was top notch and expertly crafted.

What a treat! Saint-Germain was awesome! Not that I wasn’t expecting something good but I was just blown away. Great setting, amazing food, and such personal service! It is definitely a must-visit and I will be recommending to all that are looking for a spot.
Such marvelous, creative, really amazing food! The staff, from chef to servers to bartender, obviously love what they do and manifest this love toward diners. We will make this one of our favorite local places
