I had an 8 o’clock reservation but had to wait till 8:45 to be seated because “their kitchen was backed up”
It was amazing!
Floor manager was constantly yelling at staff. Her yelling made the atmosphere very unwelcoming. We were rushed to eat. Apart from her the servers and food runners were very nice. The food was okay, nothing special. Will not be coming back.
Sage is one of the best "higher end" vegan restaurant in LA, with a casual dress code and reasonable price point. The chef is creative and our meals are consistently excellent. Even if you aren't vegan, or even vegetarian, the food here is so tasty you can enjoy it without being hung up on the "vegan" aspect. It's a heathy way to get interesting food and the atmosphere (under normal circumstances pre covid) is lovely. Great patio with twinkling lights, industrial style indoor - rustic yet romantic. My husband and I eat here regularly and bring friends from out of town who have never been disappointed! We can't wait to come back!
All was good. Our bill seemed higher than expected.
We had eggplant parmigiana and lasagna. They we both delicious.
We love Sage. The food is amazing and you wouldn't even know it's all Vegan. Service is friendly, fast and on point, the prices are affordable and the portions are big. You would not go hungry. And the desserts are heavenly!
Phenomenal! Whether you eat plant-based or not, Sage Bistro was SO FRESH, FAVORABLE AND DELICIOUS! And what a cute place, sitting blocks from the 405, but you feel like your in a quaint bistro in a canyon! An oasis in the cement jungle! I drove from Huntington Beach to have Brunch at Sage and I’m campaigning for date nite, next! GREAT HEALTHY YUMMY DINING, for everyone!!!
Eclectic menu with global inspired flavors.
Service was solid.
The experience was so nice! They have several drinks in their selection and the vegan take on meals.
I loved everything about this place. Very cool vibe and decorated very warmly. We enjoyed the cauliflower wings, tacos and raviolis so much. I normally eat meat so this place was very different for me but my son has been eating dairy free vegan and wanted to go where ever he wanted. I was amazed at how great everything was. Only wish this place was on the east coast too.
I love a restaurant where I can choose anything on the menu! Sage was delicious, and I love the lush patio.
Love the food!
Sat on the patio - and then it started to rain! The waitstaff was swift and professional in getting us seated inside promptly, they didn't skip a beat! Fantastic meal, great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.
This was my second visit to Sage at the Culver City location and I brought 2 friends. It was a good experience for all of us. The food is always good and reminds us that a vegan diet does not have to be strange or boring. Service was excellent (thank you Nicky!). The only downside was dessert. The ice cream was not as good as I recalled. The coffee chocolate chip was not available, so I ordered mocha....which was not very good. Fortunately, Nicky came by and said that a new container of coffee chocolate chip had been put out and she brought that to me (that is what I mean by excellent service). My friends tasted the mocha and agreed that it had an off-putting taste to it.
Great place for vegans! I recommend the blood orange iced tea. Pretzels are delicious. Pizza looked great! Got the cauliflower appetizer with bBQ sauce which was crispy and tasty but probably should have had the hot sauce on it.
The food is amazing with a diverse and well crafted menu of items all plant based. The owner and chef has created a great environment to enjoy the food and company.
I was absolutely blown away by the flavors and variety..so many options! As a vegan, I love getting to have my pick of the menu at vegan restaurants for a change, but this was on a whole different level. I was only sorry I hadn’t found out about this place earlier in my trip.
Great place! Good ambience for brunch and all is guilty free!
Too crowded on VDAY and the service was inadequate.
I had heard so many good things about this place but it has been one of the biggest disappointments ever. The food was like it was right out of a can, no flavor, no creativity... Simply blah. The raspberry chocolate dessert was unedible. Absolutely overpriced for what they offer.
We ordered the Valentine’a special menu, the appetizer was a deep fried palm heart (“mozzarella sticks”), it was as if they literally took the palm heart out of a can and dipped it in a tasteless batter and deep fried it. The avocado salad’s dressing was, once again, tasteless. The main courses were ok but nothing espectacular. And the desserts we barely touched because they were really bad. The arroz con leche was insipid and the raspberry chocolate cake was bitter. The only enjoyable item were the flautas from the main course.
This restaurant is one of those cases were reviews are misleading.
I love Sage restaurant in Culver City. I highly recommend it. Great food, great ambience, great service, great owner and management!

So good. Yummy and healthy. Love this spot.
Sage is always a go-to place in my neighborhood- incredible vegan food and wonderful atmosphere!
super cute place and the most robust menu I've ever seen. I did feel like the menu was a bit over priced, including the drinks.
Sage never disappoints! Tried some new items that were all delicious. The chili cheese fries, Miso Rainbow bowl, and sausage pepper onion pizza (get it with ranch!)... all super yummy! And -- always have to start the meal with some buffalo cauliflower of course!
Lovely! Very kind and knowledgeable waiter who checked some detailed ingredient requirements for us.
We have eaten there many times - consistently good food. Our waiter was inattentive - was a while before he came to table to take order then never checked on us. Waited a long time for our check - but think they were understaffed as he was hustling around the restaurant so might not have been his fault. It wasn't anything that would deter us from returning by any means - food and atmosphere is toooo goooood!!!! Wish they would open a restaurant in Manhattan Beach!! Pleeeeease!
The best. Food yummy and I am not Vegan
Or even Vegetarian. Dont miss the Mimosas at brunch.
Once again, worst service ever. The waiter couldn’t care less. Food was ok
I've been here many times, I have never been disappointed.
Expensive! Thinking I have ordered the wrong dish ! Food was ok. Will try something else next time —Why would the hostess give us the worst table ? When we made a reservation..Wanted to move -server said it was for party of 4 - my boyfriend saw parties of 2 seated at the same table ! After our request was made. Service was ok.
This was my second time at Sage, and it did not disappoint. This is the best vegan restaurant I've been to in Los Angeles. I brought my meat-eating partner this time, and he loved it, too. The service is always outstanding and the variety of dishes served is outstanding. I could eat here every day!
Enjoyed the laidback vibe on the patio on a sunny SoCal afternoon. As a vegan, it was like being a kid in a candy store. Food was delicious and inventive
I took my mom and my aunt. They were not too pleased. My daughter is vegan and she love it.
Decent vegan food. The "orange chicken" was very tasty; cauliflower buffalo wings were too limp and not sufficiently seasoned, although they looked great. Kudos for having a bar, which made a great Dark and Stormy.
Everything about the restaurant is average. Ridiculously loud. Food is pretty good. Then comes the receipt with a virtue signalling message about "Immigrants make this country great" So I can't even have meal in a restaurant now without politics being shoved down my throat along with the overpriced food. By the way, I think you meant "Undocumented illegal aliens". Immigrants, FYI, are people like myself and my family, who came to this country lawfully and became citizens in accordance with immigration and naturalization laws. Never wasting money at Sage again.
Always love the food. Love taking my non vegan friends because even they love the food. The pizzas are amazing.
Sage has a great menu of vegan options on a fun and festive atmosphere. Although it was crowded when we arrived, they honored our reservation and we were seated right away. The food was delicious and we had a great time as always!
I really liked the number of options we had at Sage for a vegetarian like me. The food was nice. I really liked the Blueberry and ginger Kombucha.I was a little disappointed with the dessert. We ordered a brownie Sunday. The description in the menu said that the sundae would have 1 vanilla ice cream scoop. But it came with a scoop of Vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. It was a lot of food for my expectation, but the biggest problem was that the brownie was very very hard. The crust could not be broken. So the amount was large and not very easy to eat. We ended up not finishing the dessert.I would like it if the brownie could be made softer and the description in the menu corrected.
