Saffron Urban Indian Kitchen is a concept Chef Diwesh has been dreaming and planning about for over a decade. His goal was/is to create a space that is inviting, calming & an ambience that compliments his food. We are a "contemporary casual dinning" with a passion for everything hopsitality. Chef Diwesh takes pride in what he serves and his team is equally passionate and dedicated to ensure to match rest of the experience with the amazing food.

While you can find familiar dishes in the main menu, Chef is particular about the ingredients and the overall quality of the food. He is also dedicated to a monthly tasting menu that will be served in the Chef's Table (by rservation only: will be activated early spring).

We sat outside so evaluating the noise level is relative. We were seated promptly and graciously, waiting only a minute or two for our server to bring menus. She explained food items we asked about and was very pleasant. Once our generous portions of food arrived she checked back regularly but was not obtrusive in the least. It was our first visit and we intend to return.

The food was not bad, but it didn’t have much flavor/seasoning to it; the portions are good, the service was good, but there are other, more reasonably priced Indian restaurants in town with a higher quality of taste. The ambiance was really nice, but having all the seating be velvet isn’t very practical for a restaurant—crumbs and some stains from previous visitors were noticeable on my seating and in other spots around the dining room.

Food was good, I ordered dinner portion of Lamb Vindaloo and did not get any Naan, the portion was half the size of the Lunch Chicken Tikka Masala that my wife ordered, and it was $11 more...

Love the feel - we could actually talk to each other - no loud music, soft surroundings. The food was great and portions were more than adequate. We all took something home. Staff was attentive, friendly and seemed to be glad to serve us. We will come back.

Good experience. My husband’s first time eating Indian and he got the Chicken Marsala and loved it. I had the chicken biryani and loved it too. I like that the meat was chunks and and not on the bone.

The food was delicious and a really cool thing they do is this Biryani rice dish where they bake the Naan on top if it. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is really modern and beautifully decorated. 10/10 would suggest!

Awesome and beautifully presented food! The drinks were fantastic, too. Some of the best Indian food I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot! The only drawbacks were that the items were a little too pricey and the tables were placed a little too close together.

The mango lassi was excellent, as was our daughter's chicken biryani. Our palak paneer was ordered to be medium low spiciness but it was MUCH hotter than the biryani (which was ordered at medium spiciness).

Our Book Club met at Saffron Urban for our monthly meeting. We were also celebrating a birthday and Saffron treated the table to beautiful desserts! The food was delicious, the portions were ample, and the ambience was lovely. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had an amazing experience during our anniversary dinner. Saffron provided elevated takes on Indian staple dishes, as well as presenting completely unique items. Many things on the menu had familiar names, but all had a high level of attention to detail and were unlike anything we have ever tasted. Each dish was incredibly flavorful, with fresh spices and ingredients plentiful. It is clear that every aspect of the dining experience was intentional and designed to elevate the meal, even down to the side salad and soup. The service was excellent, and we were checked on regularly. The intentionality of the restaurant also translates into their fantastic drink program and the overall ambiance of the space. We started with the beef samosa and spinach artichoke naan (and I cannot stop thinking about that naan). Our main courses were the Lamb Vindaloo and Madrasi Tofu. We finished with an order of assorted Kulfi (ice cream), including pistachio and mango.

Absolutely LOVED everything about our experience at Saffron! The ambiance, our server, the FOOD! We we were able to partake in a few happy hour specials including drinks, chicken spinach naan, and vegetable samosas. The entrees we enjoyed were kadai lamb and salmon madrasi. Can’t wait to return again!!!

Exceptional Dining Experience. The venue, food, and service was fantastic. Our server was busy with many other tables… as restaurant was busy. The only improvement I can suggest is to coordinate serving cocktail order either before or with appetizer, not after. Looking forward to a return visit!

The lamb korma had maybe 2 larger pieces of lamb and about 4 med-small pieces. It was mostly sauce, which while delicious, does not warrant the price. The server was not at their best and still added a 20% tip for a “large party” (there were 5 at the table) and didn’t mention the tip was added until a member of our group noticed it. It was the first time at Saffron for 4 of the people and 2 of them said they may get it to go but probably won’t be dining in again because of the experience.
