SAFFRON NOLA, the culmination of the Vilkhu family’s lifetime of passion for culture and food. Their James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant in 2018 was hard-earned after gracing the New Orleans community with a catering business for 26-years and a pop-up restaurant for 6-years. In its sixth year, SAFFRON NOLA continues to garner accolades such as JBF Best Chef South 2024, 2025 and New York Times Best 25 Restaurants in New Orleans. They continue to charm guests by tying in culture, local ingredients, and hospitality.

    The Vilkhus have been in the catering business for 26 years in the Greater New Orleans Area, which was simply a passion project for Chef Arvinder Vilkhu and Chef Pardeep Vilkhu for many years. Over time it grew into an extremely successful business in which their restaurant stemmed from. The Vilkhus can create almost any dish from any part of the world while focusing on gourmet catering for events as small as 15 guests and as large as 700 guests.     It was delicious! Great vegan options, just ask the server. They were happy to make modifications.

    Wonderful 5 star experience. Food was great, service out standing. We had the ‘chef” choice which was 3 appetizers a main course and a desert chosen by the chef. All were wonderful. Lovely Indian cuisine with a NOLA flair. We will go again and recommend Saffron to our friends as well.

    Really great food. Best naan I've had. Love the décor! Would definitely recommend. A bit pricey, but worth it.

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Saffron NOLA! We were surprised at first at how loud it was in the restaurant and thought it might interfere with our enjoyment of our meal, but as soon as our cocktails arrived (New Kid on the Block is a MUST TRY!!!) we were distracted by the delicious flavors and forgot about the sound level. The chicken tikka masala and naan were tasty too! And our server and the rest of the wait staff were attentive, but didn't hover. We highly recommend Saffron NOLA!

    Our dining experience was absolutely awesome. The oysters were to die for....everything else our party was superb...gumbo/shrimp small plates...and special for the day..yum... the day...desserts were not wonderful...no big loss at all...should have ordered another special drink from the bar.
