Went to Sacred Beast with my family, my sister and her husband. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The deviled eggs, chicken liver mouse, the burger, the fried chicken... everything. I am lucky that my kids eat everything and they were no different at the Sacred Beast. It does get a little loud but not so much so we couldn't have a conversation. We can't wait to go back.
Enjoyed a holiday lunch with friends. Great service, solid food, fun drink choices. Will definitely return!
Great food. Great people. Will be back soon for sure.
Went there to converse over dinner with my newly married nephew and his wife. They are creatives who will make a difference in this city. Like the food very much, the decor, and the casual but energetic vibe!
The Chinese broccoli and the vegan goetta were unusual and delicious.
We were excited to try this newer restaurant in OTR knowing ex chef of Boca was owner and seeing wide bourbon selection. Service was excellent for the most part (bartender, waitress and assistant). ...but had the worst (most watered down) Manhattan to drink, ever - and when this was mentioned to server, nothing was done. Burgers and fries were average. Onion rings were delicious. Back room is less desirable to sit in then front room.
I've been several times and the menu changes quite often, with the favorites remaining consistent. I love the Matzah Ball soup, Shrimp Cocktail and the Chicken Liver Mousse. My friends have raved over the desserts, Steak Au Poivre, the burgers and Lobster Fries. The ambiance is warm and modern, not too loud with fast service. Oh yeah, the special drink menu is refreshing. (literally).
I highly recommend.
Salmon was incredible.
overall good food. More on the expensive side. We went for a 10 year work anniversary so the prices matched the occasion.
Great new spot. Simple food with unique, flavorful twists. I think it’s a tad expensive for what it is. Great atmosphere though.
Overall, the Sacred Beast Diner serves great food! The salmon is great as is the steak. Portion sizes are below average. The ambiance on Saturday November 24 was extremely disappointing. The music being played was inappropriate for the setting .
We had a wonderful waitress at Sacred Beast - she was very pleasant and friendly. My husband and I ordered the single cheeseburger (thinking it would be similar to Au Cheval's in Chicago), and split fries with a fried egg on top. The food was okay, but the bun definitely needs some improvement - very dry and nothing to rave about. The side of fries was VERY small and nothing compared to Au Cheval in Chicago.
Loved the food and the staff was beyond wonderful. can't wait to return there. We are going back next week.
Last minute choice- had been wanting to try it. We love that they take reservations. We both enjoyed an excellent burger- fries for me and awesome onion rings for my husband. Cocktails were great and creative. We will surely be back- there are many other things we want to try on the menu.
A little noisy but other than that I loved the atmosphere and serivce was great they instantly fixed one of our burgers that was messed up.
Delicious meal. Great service!
First time visiting and will def go back. The pork belly was out of this world. The lemon ricotta pancakes were amazing ! Loved the lighting and it wasn’t too loud. The vibe is good too, kinda retro diner meets modern.
The abiance and decor are outstanding. Everyone was helpful, accommodating and the service from Gabriel was excellent! We enjoyed reading the menu and choosing some interesting dishes.
We started with Lobster truffle fries with cheese curds to share and they were underwhelming. The fries were shoestring style and kind of wimpy. Not crispy and not special. The fries sat in a pool of lobster sauce and there were about eight lumps of cheese on top.
I had the cod with white beans and kimchi and it was also served in a boat, more like a stew or soup and the cod was in chunks (more chunks). Another diner had crispy chicken chunks (!) with dipping suaces that were laughable: ranch, BBQ and honey mustard. Neckbone stew was thr third meal and I heard no comments about that dish.
Maybe we all ordered the wrong things and I would definitely go back since the room was really exquistely designed and appointed. It would make a great after work spot for a drink and a snack. We spent around $75 for lunch for three, including tip and tax.
the food was not as good as I thought it would be. the fries with lobster gravy- the gravy was so thin, I couldnt really taste it.
Server was great. Took the time to check on some items for my food sensitivity and guided me to the right choice. Exactly what we were looking to eat that night.
Wonderful!! We were a party of 5 and enjoyed a delicious Saturday brunch at the Sacred Beast. What excellent service from the host to our server and each person we encountered that worked there. The Sacred Beast has a good menu and a really nice ambiance and was exactly the type of place that we were looking for. The food is absolutely delicious and each one of us enjoyed our meals. Our Korean exchange student said the kimchi passed the test and we were all happy with this restaurant. We look forward to returning! I very highly recommend.
Waiter was very friendly and helpful. Our group of 6 enjoyed the food a lot. Our only complaint was that getting the food was slow.
I’m sure we’ll return though
We had a great time, and the food was fabulous!! We look forward to retuning!
Interesting menu items and my lunch was delicious. I loved the sign out front that announced the soup of the day as Bourbon!
The food was absolutely amazing. Drink menu was surprising and very good. My wife and I each tried 2 different cocktails and liked all 4.
I highly recommend. We have decided this has a permanent spot in the rotation of favorite restaurants.
Fun evening with friends. New menu filled with diner flair was tasty.
Our new favorite date spot! Delicious food, unique beers and friendly, fun staff!
Great food. Great cocktails. Casual and loud enough to bring the kids!!
What a pleasant surprise! Food was delicious- modern offerings of traditional food. So fresh and flavorful. Our server had other tables but he had a knack of making his tables feel like we’re his only ones. We’ll be back!
Service was slow, but waiter was friendly
Went for bday dinner after a ballet. Great ambiance, friendly staff, delicious food!
Food was awesome, but service was below average. It took a long time to get drinks and appetizers and main meal arrived all at once. Waiter never checked back in with us.
Servers dressed up for Halloween (cute!). But our server was pretty bad. Seemed scared. Took drink order and food order. Brought drinks and really never returned. Our group would have gotten at least one more drink. My friends order was incorrect but manager quickly brought correct order. Food was great and prices were really reasonable. Great vibe in restaurant but we were placed by door and there was cold air.
This was my first time to Sacred Beast Diner and I went with my family. We all had a good time and enjoyed the eclectic food. The server (Gabriel) was good but a bit distracted because he was training a new person. The small plates we ordered (deviled eggs, chicken liver, pork belly) were all good, with the chicken liver being the table's favorite. The matzah ball soup was good (and filling). One person ordered the steak and onion rings which looked great and, according to the person who ate it, tasted delicious. Two others ordered the chicken neck gravy/hash browns which also looked good. Cocktails were good too! In all, a good experience and we'll return.
Very glad I chose this for my sister's birthday lunch. The atmosphere and great service (from Bruce!) made it the special occasion I hoped it would be. The menu offerings were both classic (a fresh and delicious salmon) to inventive ("diner" breakfast of cheesy eggs, pork belly and ricotta pancakes). We enjoyed an unusual cocktail involving gin, Luxardo cherries and violette, beautifully served in a delicate antique (or antique-looking) glass. I would have liked to see more than the 4 choices for desserts, but the one we had--a lime bar with a touch of salt on top--was well executed.
Greatly enjoyed our first visit prior to the Pops. Loved the salmon, broccoli, burger and key lime bar. Can’t wait to return.
Had a great meal, an evening dinner, with my husband and son. I’m glad we made a reservation, our table was ready when we arrived and they were busy. It was 8:45pm on s Friday night. The apps and cocktails were perfect! We shared a bunch of apps, no entrees. We also had brunch there too and it was great! I highly recommend this place. Enjoy!
Great quick breakfast for dinner at Sacred Beast. We were on a tight timeline for a show at Music Hall, let our server know we only had an hour and food came out quickly and we enjoyed it all except the pork bellies. Highly recommend goat cheese omelette and ricotta pancakes.
Cheeseburger and wedge salad were delicious. Great stop for dinner before theatre.
Definitely will go back. The food was great and the staff very attenetive.
