Innovador

We are a fast casual restaurant specializing in traditional South American cuisine. Our food can be found hot and fresh at our cafe near the PH BART station (plenty of validated parking in back). We also sell our specialty cookies (crowned ""The Best Cookie on Earth"" by 7 X 7 magazine) at most Bay Area Whole Foods in the Bakery section.

Our dishes contain only high quality ingredients, using organic, fair trade and locally grown products whenever possible. Our signature dishes include: empanadas, steak and pork sandwiches, ceviche and of course our famous alfajor cookie! We also serve espresso coffee, freshly-baked pastries and breakfast.

Food ok we literally were there first didn't order much and waited an hour to get food while those who were usuals got their food within 10 minutes as well as those who ordered to go.

We did not have the nice dinner experience we were expecting. We thought it was a sit-down restaurant where you would be waited on. Instead, it was order at the counter and be seated. The food and service were good for the type of place it was. Had we known, we would have made a reservation elsewhere as we were celebrating an anniversary.

This place is great for Hispanic comfort cuisine, with ample portions and a wide variety of interesting and creative takes on well-known dishes. I particularly liked their beef empanadas, as well as the Lomo Saltado. This second dish was easily more than enough for two people to share, which I did to the satisfaction of my lovely wife. We topped off our meal with a dessert selection of their very excellent cookie creation, Alfajores. This was my first experience with Sabores del Sur, and I very much intend to make a repeat visit.

It is neighborhood gem.- casual eating restaurant w comfort food. Dinner portions are very generous and staff is welcoming and friendly!

Had their Churrasco sandwich - delicious. they had a onion relish that went with it. yum Unfortunately they didn't have any flan left, but their cookie was good. Will go back.

Great new place with South American food. Great service. Great food. Order at counter. For dinner try the empanadas and pot roast. For lunch soup is good but haven't tried the other dishes. The cookies are to die for. The owner/chef/baker kept making sure our food was okay. Wines are very reasonable. Went with a group of friends and we enjoyed it. Will definitely go back. Park in attached covered parking lot as they do validate. I hope they start having more weekend hours

We had a groupon so decided to try. The food was good. The desserts were amazing. The service was awful so that was sad. They weren't even busy and it took 45 minutes to get our sandwiches. We will try again another time hopefully they were just short staffed.
