We have gone this restaurant the last two years when visiting Rapid City. Both times the food was amazing, the service was awesome..... we plan on going back here every year that we visit Rapid City... can't recommend it enough

Last night we visited Sabatino’s restaurant after a day visiting Mt. Rushmore and the Black Hills. We called ahead to make sure we were within dress code, they said yes. Once there, our experience was quite shocking. When the waitress came, we placed our drink order followed by our entrees. My wife ordered pasta and they did not have her selection; then, she changed her order and they did not have the second item. Finally, they said they did not have pizza. By that time, both owners came to our table and we asked what they had available to order and said: ”nothing”. We looked around and they kept seating and serving people arriving after us. Of note, the owners had an irate attitude and my wife was intimidated they might become physical at us. We were a group of 4, all professional adults over 50, visiting SD from another country. We do not understand what triggered this situation, but it was humiliating and quite frankly not representative of the beautiful state of South Dakota.

Good food and convenient location in downtown Rapid City. Was surprised a person on the staff wore a shirt that said “Don’t Know, Don’t Care”.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We waited almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged while standing at the podium to be seated, then almost another 10 minutes before the person who seated us asked if we had been helped yet. Everyone who was working looked like they had no idea what was going on; I watched multiple servers, including the head chef, bring food out to tables asking if they had what was ordered. One server even used the top shelf of the dish cart to put their food dishes on to serve them! The food was mediocre and not worth the cost. Unless they make a massive change to their service, I would avoid this place at all costs.

The food was delicious and the staff very professional and friendly. Just wish the salads we ordered came out together; one came out during our dinner.

I expected a more refined atmosphere from the website pictures, however the relaxed atmosphere was just fine for our sister birthday celebration. The food was delicious.
