Enjoyed the patio on a nice evening only thing was that the Appetizer came out the same time as entree
Really good fried chicken, attentive waiter. Restaurant is loud. Not a place for conversation unless you want to scream at each other, as many were doing. No atmosphere, but that maybe what you are looking for.
Although we found the wines a bit pricey, our 2 salmon & 1 fried chicken dinner were delicious. Our 4th diner had the halibut which she found below par compared to the rest of the meals. We also shared a lemon meringue & a key lime pie which were both great. Our server was fine but not as good as we’ve had in the past.
Excellent service. Great flavors and nicely seasoned food.
The chicken was served hot and was very moist. Chris was an excellent server. I thought the price was high for three pieces of chicken which does not include any sides. I had them box 1 and 1/2 pieces of left over chicken breasts but when I got home only the full breast was there.
Rye is typically one of my very favorite places, so I chose it for my birthday brunch with my family. We had a new waiter (bless his heart) who wasn’t quite knowledgeable and didn’t come by very often. The food was sadly not as good that day for some reason.
It was very good food. My family enjoyed the fried chicken, the burgers, and the shrimp and rots. I got a spicy chicken sandwich and it was doused in sauce to make it “spicy”. I was disappointed about that but still I would go back. Prices were steep for lunch, so dinner might be out of the question for us. It was nice to change it up from the repeat restaurants though. Thanks.
We were seated in the side room. Much prefer the main dining room.
Food was meh! Service inattentive. $3 cake charge per person without notice. Unacceptable.
Very noisy on a busy evening. Good food. Decent service.
The best food always! By far my favorite place to eat 👍
Excellent- as always!
A most enjoyable experience. I highly recommend going to Rye for a great meal and wonderful atmosphere.
Food and service are consistent whether dining inside or outside. One of our favorite places and the BEST pie!
The dinner was fabulous and we will be back. We like to eat early so we missed the crowd.
Overpriced, ho-hum food......... zxxzzzzxxxzzzzzzzzxzxxxz zxx
AMA omg Hanger steak salad . Loved would get again soon. Service a bit slow at lunch time
RyeKC is one of the best places in the Midwest let alone Kansas City, incredible food and service, amazing range of drinks also. Had the best birthday with them!
Fish portion was petite. Everything else was very positive
Alway a great lunch location. Excellent food and outstanding desserts too.
Mothers Day was delicious!!
We ate here for Mother’s Day so perhaps the business of the day was the reason for the low review. We had been told it was fantastic and so I guess our expectations were high. Long wait for food, food was fair, smoked chicken cold and my side dish didn’t arrive until half way thru meal. Waiter was kind but over worked
Great food and overall very good service. We love this place!
Great Brunch. Wonderful service and food was top notch.waiter, Nathan was on it! Couldn’t have had a better experience!
We met some friends for brunch. We were seated quickly, and greeted promptly. It was fairly busy and quite noisy, so it was a strugle for conversation at times. The food was great, with a nice variety of options.
The food here is good but pricey. Not sure the value is there but had a nice meal. Restaurant is very, very noisy so not a place for anyone hard of hearing.
Thank you for accommodating our group. We will be back.
Best Monday steak night in town. Always the choice when friends come from out of town and we want them to experience the most upscale dining in Leawood without all the fuss. The patio is perfect and the craft cocktails are worthy.
We were seated promptly at our reservation time on a very busy evening. The noise level can best be described as loud; it made conversation around a 4-top difficult.
The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. However, giving us the bios of the owners', and the awards they've won, as a selling point seemed somewhat redundant as we were already there.
The two at our table who ordered cocktails were very, very impressed. The wine that the other two of us had was very good.
Of the four meals we ordered two were exceptional (lamb and halibut) , one was as expected (burnt ends, as they were out of spare ribs), and one was sub-par (chicken and dumplings; 5 inconsistently textured dumplings, 3 tiny shreds of chicken, and a few vegetables in an extremely bland broth).
Coconut cream pie for dessert was outstanding.
Overall we had a nice time, but not what we expected given the restaurant's prices and reputation.
The dessert was incredible, service and dinner was okay but didn’t leave me with the feeling I wanted to go back for more anytime soon. Expected more for the price.
All of our entrees were excellent, so was the service. A little noisy for us, but otherwise just right.
Good experience overall. Great place for a date. Food is a little pricey for taste.
Service and food were outstanding
FIVE STARS! Elizabeth was our server, and she was the BEST! :-)
Always a positive experience at Rye. Exceptional servers, delicious fried chicken and great ambiance at the Leawood location.
I was in town visiting and Rye is my 7 year old granddaughter’s favorite restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner, the service was excellent and food yummy!
Nice place, great service, great fried chicken even though a side of mashed potatoes is $8. Who else charges that. And, seriously, can you keep a filet below $54? That is more than J. Gilberts and Bristol and about the same quality/taste. Way too overpriced. I do not see going back even though the food and service were good as there are far too many other options that are just as good and cheaper.
We made a reservation here after hearing wonderful feedback about Rye. The waitress was close to being rude and was not very pleasant when asked questions about the menu or drinks available. The Food was fresh and tasty but we found Rye to be over priced for fried chicken and steaks. We have dined in many restaurants in this area and expected more of this establishment based on the Wonderful reviews we have heard. Found Rye to be Just OK
The most amazing filet of my life! I enjoyed every bit of my meal. Will definitely be back!
Rye is my go to place.... it’s like walking in the front door if your home. Welcoming... glad to see you back. Food is consistently awesome! Plus the Old Square is my favorite cocktail in world! 😎
