Rye Knot is the first restaurant in North Carolina to brew its own beer and distill its own spirits. We serve outstanding plated pub fare. Our top sellers are Dry Aged steaks, fish and chips, burgers, smoked meatloaf, Reubens and Shaved Ribeye Sammies. Chef Ben Dunbar is a master cook whom delivers exquisite cuisine in both variety and presentation. Our bar has a dozen large screen televisions. We have plenty of outdoor seating.     The food was just mediocre, the service was excellent, the owner graded us when we walked through the door with somewhat of a snarky remark, and we thought things were slightly overpriced.

    Good service, but we felt the food was very over priced. We had the rye knot appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert, and drinks. Food was nothing special, but had the price tag of a 5 star restaurant. Drinks were decent but again, pricey at around $15 per drink.

    What a pleasant surprise! Rye Knot is a neighborhood restaurant I have driven by for several years but have never dined at. Now I realize what I’ve been missing! Great food and drinks with a fun, diverse menu. Something for everyone. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable- great for groups or date-night. I’ll definitely be back!

    Overall nice set up. We were at the early end of dinner. The temperature was cool enough all the patrons I saw kept their boats on. Big portions and everything was tasty

    Service was a bit slow seeing that it wasn't very busy, but the people including management (perhaps owner?) were all very pleasant. Food was great and priced right.

    We had an excellent dinner at Rye Knot! Our group of five included two people who eat gluten-free, and we were pleasantly surprised by the number of options available – way more than their website or Yelp lets on. If you’re gluten intolerant, this place is a hidden gem with tons of choices. We’re always on the lookout for spots north of Asheville, and Rye Knot was a great new find. My wife ordered a gluten-free Reuben with gluten-free fries, and my daughter had a gluten-free sandwich. The rest of us enjoyed the fish and chips, a filet, and the meatloaf – everything was delicious. Portions were generous, leaning on the larger side, which we appreciated. The drink menu is extensive, with lots of beer and cocktail options. Every bar order we tried was excellent. While they seemed a little short-staffed, the service didn’t skip a beat. The manager, chef, and bartender all pitched in to help serve, and it really showed – we didn’t experience any delays. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a laid-back, unpretentious, and slightly military-inspired vibe. Rye Knot is definitely on our list of places to return to. Highly recommend!
