This was our second visit to Ruth’s Chris Melville and the first visit for friends who were with us. Again, we had an excellent dining experience from the time we were greeted at the door to when we left. Our friends and us were celebrating our mutual anniversaries and we were made to feel very honored - even rose petals on the table. Our waiter, Saad, could not have been more personable and efficient. Our dinners and desserts were delicious and prepared to our exact requests. All in all a wonderful night. Ruth’s Chris did not disappoint. We cannot wait to return.

We had a business meal at the Melville Ruth's Chris restaurant. One of our party was a first-timer. The two hostesses were wonderful, but that's the only good thing. The menus were dirty, and the room was extremely loud. Our server spoke broken English, and none of us could understand him. We ordered 3 different steaks, all cooked medium. All 3 were wrong. 2 were well done and ruined, and 1 was rare. This is the worst Ruth's Chris we've ever been to, and our first timer is ruined on the chain

We visited Ruth’s Chris in Melville to celebrate my son‘s college graduation and our 24th wedding anniversary. When they sat us at our table, there were rose petals and congratulations confetti all over the table. There were handwritten cards for us and when we opened up our menus, there was a little surprise on there as well. Liz, our waitress was amazing, very tentative and extremely knowledgeable. Everything was absolutely delicious. My one son ordered a ribeye my other son ordered lamb chops and my husband and I had filet mignon. At the end of our meal, they brought my son and my husband and I our desserts. All those extra little special touches were so nice and I couldn’t stop raving about it all night. Thank you, Ruth’s Chris for a wonderful evening! ❤️

This is our favorite restaurant chain. The food is always outstanding. Our server was great until it got more crowded and his attentions were diverted elsewhere. This restaurant is EXPENSIVE and the choices on the Ruth's Classics are very limited and push you toward more expensive options. This is a classic, upscale steakhouse yet the music selection appeared to be more for the entertainment of the hostess station than the patrons in the dining room. It was loud and created a sense that distracted from the ambiance one would expect at this level. This is not a dance club! Our desert came without forks. $200+ for dinner and no alcohol or appetizers. Just saying. Not sure why the ambiance and cost factors are better at the Capitol Grille or Bob's Steakhouse, but this chain needs to take a page from their books.

Clearly the restaurant was not staffed appropriately. We continued to have to flag down our server to either take our order or refill our drinks as he was covering way too many tables. Took over 45 mins to get the bill at the end of the night and that was after we flagged down another server. As always the food was great and prepared as ordered.

Five-Star Review – Mother’s Day Dinner at Ruth’s Chris We had the pleasure of celebrating Mother’s Day at Ruth’s Chris for the first time at this location, and we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Saad and Taylor took such great care of us—attentive, professional, and incredibly kind. They made us feel welcomed and made the evening extra special. The food was cooked to perfection. Every bite was full of rich, delicious flavor, and the attention to detail in both preparation and presentation truly stood out. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that exceeded our expectations. This was our first visit to this location, but it certainly won’t be our last—we look forward to returning frequently!
