It was great
Our reservation was for 7:15 and we arrived on time. We were advised that the wait would be an additional 15 minutes and we could wait in the bar. We had our winter coats (January in Indiana!) but had to request coat check. We finally were seated at about 7:50. No apologies or offers of complimentary beverage.
Our meal was good...up to Ruth’s Chris standards. But, we recommend making reservations much earlier than you desire so that you dine on your schedule and not theirs.
I feel like there needed to be soft music playing and more excitement to this location. It’s kind of a cold feeling in there.
The experience was great. The restaurant itself is top notch. Lots of staff from coat check to wait-staff. All were anxious to help and to see that we had a great experience....which we did. We visited Ruth's Chris as part of the 'Savor Fort Wayne'. As such, we enjoyed their fixed price menu. The salad we chose was exceptional. The entre' was a 6 oz filet that is not on it's regular menu. It came out on the signature Ruth's 500 degree plate. The steak was very good....not great, but very good. Not sure if it's a special cut of beef for the Savor Fort Wayne but didn't seem to be up there with a prime cut. All in all, the service was wonderful and the overall experience was definitely up there with the best steakhouses anywhere. While I would recommend Ruth's Chris to friends/family, it would have to be a very special occasion for me to return and spend $150-$200 for my wife and I. Luckily, Fort Wayne has many restaurants that provide a wonderful experience without breaking the bank. Thank you Savor Fort Wayne!
This was by far the best dining experience I have ever had. Definitely one I will talk about for a long time. Food was phenomenal, service was even better. 10/10 would recommend.
I was not impressed with the filet mignon. It was ok but I have had better for a lot cheaper. The server was ok. I expected a better overall experience. I do not plan to go back.
Good food. Great service.
Our “30 minute” lunch was more like 45. Fries were not hot. Must have been a bad day. Usually love this place
Savor Fort Wayne! Brought my mom & 2 daughters for all of their first time. Everything was excellent.
Our server Evan was fantastic and the food was amazing. We had a 5:30 reservation and was able to get in 15 minutes early.
Excellent as usual. Food and drinks were perfectly prepared. Band played at just the right volume. Hope to be back soon.
The food was amazing as usual. Linda is super sweet and she makes my experience better every time she’s there. They are lucky to have her!
We had the best waiter, Michael. We also enjoyed the best food we have had in a long time.
Second time there. Requested Michael to be our server when I made reservations since he did such an outstanding job the first time. He didn't disappoint either visit. Food is outstanding and the restaurant is beautiful inside.
The meal was delicious, and we really appreciated our server, Jacob, and his assistant, Zach.
The team dedicated to our table were delightful. The food was top notch as always. One of our favorite places to dine.
Our waiter missed 2 things we ordered during the course of our meal.
The service was not at their usual level. We were seated in a booth looking at the rear of the bar. The experience was just not our best.
Christmas Eve family dinner. 5:15 reservation and 7:00 church to follow, main dish came out at 6:28pm! The waiter was bragging about this being the best Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I had high expectations as I have dined at Phoenix, Asheville, and Savannah. Stuffed Mushroom were just okay, Spinach & Arugula Salad was good but found no egg on it? All three of us orders Prix Fixe filet steaks and I added Oscar to mine, Med Rare. I didn’t find any bearnaise sauce? Dry pulverized crab meat “not lumped” and three stems of asparagus. My steak was raw in the middle. Waiter not to be seen to let him know. Manager finally came along and ask how’s everything. I showed her my blue center steak and told her no time to re-fire it as time crunch. She retuned with a hot plate with butter and I finished cooking the steak. “She was at least trying”
Waiter now appears and let him know we’re running out of time, stated may have to pass on desert. He offered no credit, so took the pudding to go without ice cream and he stated, “you should take is as you paid for it.” Doggie bag and bill please. Bill on a small tablet and while reviewing the device went dead. I see the manager and asked is gratuity included? This blacked out before I could finish looking at the receipt. She said, no. Paid cash of $261 plus a tip. Waited again for waiter and now 6:55pm finally leaving. On walking outside the manager yells, “Sir here is your receipt!” I don’t need it but thanks. “It’s because you questioned the bill.” I walked back to receive it even though not needed.
Overall this was the worst of the Ruth’s Chris I been to, not the best. Value fell well short of the price. Doubt I would return to the Fort’s Ruth’s Chris again. Phoenix location was the best one I’ve been to just FYI
Excellent food and service as always. Mark is the best!
Beautiful steaks and elegant atmosphere
Ver pleasant. Staff was excellent. Food good a little slow to table.
Excellent. Better then other RC we have dine at before
Emily was excellent. As well as her helper, I forgot his name. Steak was great.
You would think you would get a side with your $50 steak but it’s all $10 extra even the salad. The steak was good once I peeled the massive layer of pepper away from it. There was so much pepper it burned my throat going down. The potato, salad and bread were super good. The carrot cake was to die for! It was three massive layers and super delicious!
Outstanding food, beautiful location, highly recommended.
Mark was an awesome waiter. Beautiful restaurant and excellent service.
When we arrived on time for our reservation we were told our table would not be ready for 15 minutes. While we understand it’s a busy time of year we feel it might have been a nice gesture to offer a complimentary drink at the bar- instead of “you can wait at the bar and we will find you.”
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and from the minute we walked in the door we were made to feel special. Every staff person we came in contact with congratulated us. Outstanding service, excellent food and great atmosphere. The only thing that disrupted the evening was a large party at a near by table that got very loud with no regard to their surroundings. This was not the fault of the restaurant so we will definitely be going back.
Second time with terrible service. Sat late to our table. Food was ok at best. There is clearly room still for improvement, and better quality food in the area at this price point.
Christmas gift to in-laws
Our welcome inside was professional at all. One of the two hostesses asked for my name. In the middle of my response she got distracted by another patron speaking with the other hostess and totally dismissed me. I stepped away from the counter while the two hostesses worked out whatever the problem was. About a minute later, she apologized and asked my name again. In the middle of my second response she interrupted me and said something to the other hostess. I almost left, but she recovered and at least got me checked in. The woman who seated the four of us made a valiant effort to use our name repeatedly. Unfortunately, she mispronounced our fairly simple, 5-letter last name. My name has been mispronounced several times, but her pronunciation wasn’t even close, demonstrating a lack of attention to detail. We booked the reservation through Open Table, so I know the name was spelled correctly. Service was decent, though we had to ask for bread for the table. Steaks were good quality, well-cooked, and hot. Sides were warm. Deserts were good. Overall it was a decent experience, but I will not be back any time soon for the amount of money spent.
AMAZING food and service! Andrew provided great service and the manager stopped by our booth no less than 3 times.
My husband and I took our son for his 12th birthday to Ruth's Chris and we had a fantastic experience. Our waiter, Christopher, and his assistant, Erik, were so great! Service was exemplary and our food was amazing. My son now wants to make dining at Ruth's Chris a birthday tradition! Thank you for making it such a wonderful experience for all of us.
We have been to Ruth's many times and they continue to do a nice job. Everyone is always so nice and very attentive. We will be back again.
Everything was great as always. A couple of us had the Thanksgiving meal. The turkey was moist and it was a great price.
Birthday dinner. We really enjoyed the delicious dinner. But next time we will request the dinning room. The bar had 3 large screen TVs.
