The bartenders are awesome and the food is perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal. Always good.
The service was very good overall . The steak was charred on the outside and way undercooked raw inside . the au gratin potatoes were also dry and undercooked as well. I have been to several Ruth’s Chris and this experience was my least favorite with the meal .

Rachel was our server and She went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. The service was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the view was spectacular.
Overall impression over the past two years is that Ruth Chris in general is not up to usual standard. Our waitress was brand new, but sweet. My steak was overdone and the crab legs were inedible. We mentioned this and only got a free dessert. Overall if I’m going to spend $350 on a nice dinner, I want it to be perfect.

The food was great! We did have to get another waitress to help us with drink refills because our waitress was no where to be found for about 20min. Overall the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly.
A bit pricey for the choices. But I’m not one that eats a lot.
The filet was excellent, enjoyed lettuce wedge. The calamari was sweet and greasy.

It was my first time at the downtown river place location. They were pretty quick with seating with it being a full house. Food was amazing as always!

Our waitress, Nicole, was outstanding in serving us. She was very polite and great at making conversation with us. We noticed that she provided the same for the other tables she was serving. She wrote us a personal note as well wishing us a Happy New Year in 2021!

We went to celebrate New Years with a few close friends. My steak came out purple it was so rare when I ordered Medium Well. The server took my steak back to get it cooked more and it took almost 10 minutes while everyone was eating at the table I was just sitting there. Once a manger came out with my steak he ask if I could cut it and I did the outside corner is where I cut the steak and it was ok (not perfect). I cut into my steak in the center and it was still super rare. It was bright red and blood all over my plate. I did not eat a real meal all I had was fries... needless to say worst steak ever. They offered to buy me a dessert, to me that was not enough. The steak I ordered was the petite filet which was $46 and the dessert I got was $11. They should have took the steak off the bill since it was cooked wrong twice and I didn’t even eat it. I’m very upset about this experience.

Very disappointed in the food. Had to send back parts of my meal a couple of times. The family was done eating when i finally got the final part. By then I was frustrated and disappointed. I don't mind paying extra for the food, but this was second rate.

Ruth's Chris is always a wonderful meal. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the atmosphere overlooking the river cannot be beat!
Our only negative was the wiat time for our table. We had a 7:15 reservation and did not get seated until just after 8pm. ...this is not our first expereince with this happening..and wonder what is the purpose of reservation? ( I think a 10 - 15 min wait may be acceptable..but not over 40 ! )

Probably should not have made a res on Xmas day at one of the only restaurants open and in a hotel. The scene was a zoo - check in was down a narrow hall crowded with people - most with masks but too many without. After checking in and trying to stay clear of the masses we went into the lounge where we encountered more people without masks. Reservation was at 6:30 - was told they would call our cell. At 6:50 we headed back to our condo - they called at 7 when we arrived back home. Cancelled res. My thoughts go out to the hostess and others who had to work in those conditions. “Sign saying restaurant practices social distancing was incredibly misleading”. Not likely to go back - too many other very good restaurants in Greenville that do practice social distancing.

The restaurant was full beyond capacity - the time to deliver food abd drinks was excessive - dinner was nearly 2,5 hrs with much of the time sitting waiting

We were there for a delicious Christmas dinner--for the 4th year in a row. We all had the sea bass that is always done perfectly. We love the lobster Mac and cheese and it was covered with fresh lobster. Th calamari was fresh and the bacon brussel sprouts were well done. We were hoping we could fit dessert in, but were too full!

Service and food were excellent, but the tables were very close together - definitely not 6 feet apart. I don't think they did a great job with social distancing.

It’s Ruth Chris so you expect it to be pricey. The food and service were great. My only beef is that it would be nice if others dining would consider it a nicer restaurant and perhaps dress accordingly especially on a holiday. This isn’t the he fault of the restaurant though. It’s just indicative of society as a whole. Will certainly return.

Decided to splurge for Christmas Eve. Had a couple of drinks at the bar. Very nice. Great bartender. Went into the main room for dinner. Ordering was a hassle. They want you to use your phone or an i-pad type device. Very confusing and takes the wind out of the initial fun. Finally ordered calamari. Good. Then stuffed chicken, filet, lobster mac, creamed spinach, and bread pudding (to go). Dinner was awesome. Dessert at home was awesome. Will go back for sure.

First the restaurant did an excellent job making accommodations for our elderly guest and getting us a table she was able to access utilizing a walker. The service was exceptional as Kailani was taking care of us and was very sweet and attentive. The food was outstanding, from the veal Osso Buco Ravioli appetizer to the sizzling steaks cooked to perfection, to the sides of garlic mash potatoes, and roasted brussels sprouts, accompanied by fresh homemade bread.....all 5 star+. The music was a tad loud where we were sitting but that didn't hamper our experience. If we were disappointed by anything it was the chocolate mousse cheesecake that was good, just not great. The portion size of the desserts was enough to split however we each ordered our own and took some home. Overall we got what we expected, a magnificent meal in a great setting with exceptional service. Highly recommend!

Reed was our server. She was awesome. Very attentive and she was knowledgeable about the menu. Food was great. I had the salmon. I wanted it cooked medium and that’s the way it was cooked. Both steaks were not good. The filet was over cooked and was crisp around the edges. The extreme center was the only moist area and the steak was ordered medium. The NY strip was grisly. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. The sides were very generous. We were just very disappointed with the steak quality.
