    My husband and I celebrated Father’s Day at Ruth’s Chris in downtown Greenville, SC. I am accustomed to Ruth’s Chris being perfect in every way, but, alas, perfection was lacking in a couple of areas. On the positive side: The food was totally amazing as usual. We both ordered the Petite Filet medium well. Both filets were absolutely perfect in taste, texture and presentation. For sides, we shared the sweet potato casserole and grilled asparagus with Hollandaise sauce. Both sides were as tasty as expected. We asked our waitress for wine recommendations and were pleased with what she suggested. On the disappointing side: We were seated by a window with a beautiful view of downtown Greenville, but two things disturbed me. One was that there were black specks of something on our white tablecloth when we arrived. I tried brushing them off and the individual who was seating us just stood there while I brushed. Additionally, the window sill beside our table was not clean. I dislike being a complainer, but when I pay as much for a meal as I did at Ruth’s Chris, I expect a lot, including a pristine tablecloth as well as clean surroundings. One more positive note: Our waitress was pleasant and accommodating and the service was quite good. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our meal at Ruth’s Chris and will likely return in the future for special occasion meals, though with slightly lowered expectations.

    I was disappointed in our service. We had reservations, we got there and they told us our table wasn’t ready and we stood there awkwardly for a moment and then i asked where they wanted us to go…that should have been offered to us. She told us to wait in lobby or at bar. The minute we sat down our table was ready so we were up again. Ordering was confusing. I felt like we had to do most of the work. My son ordered tea and never got it, our steaks were not cooked to how we ordered and my other son ordered pre fixe and was supposed to get a chef’s choice dessert which she never offered. This was my fifth or sixth time at RC, first at this location and for a $600 meal I just didn’t feel like the food or our service justified that price.

    Our food was absolutely amazing and cooked exactly how we wanted it. Our waiter Josh was the best waiter I’ve experienced in a very long time. Our table view of Greenville was also amazing. Can’t wait to go back!!!

    Felt welcoming however the food was not up to our expectations. The Calamari was cold and extremely chewy. Notified waiter and was told it would be removed. The whole lobster wasn’t available so I order the compliment your entree lobster instead with the lobster Mac and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese was cold & tasteless and my lobster came out 15mins later then the rest of the food. The mashed potatoes were runny as well.

    We were celebrating my birthday & our friend’s 40th anniversary. Nothing special was done. We had reservation had to wait30 minutes for a table with a view. The food was good but not great. Disappointed!

    Very poor service. Assisting wait staff was very rude. Steak was cooked perfectly but then covered in lemon from the lobster. Would not seat us in the main dining room despite having a reservation and many open tables. Very disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

    We normally give this restaurant 10/10. This time, my steak was burnt, I didn’t have a dinner fork, we couldn’t find the waiter for a while, I had to wait to eat after my food was brought out, the loaded potato now is about 1/4 the size it used to be, they say us at a table against a filthy window that had spider webs, our table was basically against another table (it was empty thank goodness), the hostess was not welcoming at all, and they used to make your anniversary/birthday dessert (they no longer do this). I also tried to book a graduation party there for last month, and I had nothing but trouble for that. Their event manager just doesn’t respond, or she turns you away. I noticed that the restraint was almost empty, and I wondered why it was so empty because it was dinner time. Well, I know why now. I’m not sure if they have changed mangers, or what is going on there, but it has gone down hill over the past year.

    Half the tenderloin filets looked and tasted like chateau brion cuts. Appetizers were spicy, mashed potatoes served with sanding butter or oil. Dinner plates were ridiculously small. However, service was friendly and polite, the room was excellent and very quiet (carpet, acoustic tiles, table clothes, etc.) and it was a pleasant dining experience. Recommended with some reservation.

    On website, it stated that dress code is "business casual," with no shorts or hats. We saw at least 2 people with shorts and baseball hats on. Very disappointing. Either there is a dress code or there isn't.

    We were celebrating our anniversary. We wanted a cocktail be dinner so we went to the bar and sure enough they were out of Tanqueray gin, thats is the only alcohol i drink. My wife had a Titos and tonic I had water. Then then when into the dinning room. We were greeted by a young lady who asked us if we wanted water, we say yes

    Wonderful restaurant. We love Ruth's Chris. Our sides were a bit disappointing. We had to send back 2 of them to be warmed and one potato had a huge black spot in the middle and had to be returned.

    The service was real slow had to wait on our reservations, when we got the food my wife was undercooked on the salmon, my lobster tail was overcooked just a bad experience for us.
