My steak was undercooked and I had to send it back. My waiter forgot about my drink and butter for bread. When you are paying $200 for a meal, you should not have these type of problems.
Ruth’s Chris is my favorite restaurant and I’ve been to locations in various cities and always have a great experience. If this had been my first time, I would never have returned. The server was exceptional but I was disappointed in all of the dishes we ordered except our appetizer and our bottle of wine. I was with my boyfriend and was embarrassed because he knows this is my favorite restaurant and it was our first time going together. Both our entrees and sides were subpar. Several dishes were overcooked. It’s unfortunate to have heard that my experience may have been due to the fact that this Clayton location was closing the next day and moving to Chesterfield so the kitchen staff may be off/checked out. I was assured that if I visited Chesterfield my experience would be great, but what about my experience that night?
It took >15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, which usually isn't a big deal. However, we were seated at a table that was not properly set (four people seated at a table set for two-- which were not complete either). A significant length of time passed before we were able to place an order for cocktails, and their delivery to the table was delayed as well. We indicated that the desserts would be shared but were not given plates to divide up the servings. The worst part was not discovered until today when I reconciled my bank account. We placed a $100 gift card, a $50 gift card, and a credit card in the check presenter. One of the gift cards was not applied to the bill, nor was it returned to us. This experience is going to make us think twice about patronizing them at the new location in Chesterfield.
This was our second time coming back to this location and we came back again for our anniversary. The atmosphere was great but the food was cooked a bit longer than our first experience. The steaks were more done than we had wanted and the sides were a bit overcooked. We did tell our waiter when he inquired about the experience and he was very pleasant and even tried to rectify the issue with providing a complimentary coupon for our next dining experience in addition to offering to have our food remade. Although we were a bit disappointed with the food this time around, the service certainly made up for it. I am certain we will give it another try.
Great cocktail and good food. Place feels a bit off with the baloney social distancing they have to follow because of draconian rules.

The food was outstanding as usual. We brought our 16 year old son and he devoured his steak! Very enjoyable meal!
It exceeded our expectations. We have noth eaten there before but the entire evening was wonderful. The food was delicious as usual. The service was above and beyond. I wish I made a note of the Gentleman that took care of us. He treated us nicely and attentively checked on us to see if we needed anything.
A truly unforgettable dinner. We are so thankful we chose Ruth’s for our first evening out since our since was born 4 months ago.

Wonderful evening with great food. Our server, Ian, did a fantastic job taking care of us. We always order the Lobster Voodoo appetizer because is is sooooo good. The steaks were spot on, and we got the carrot cake dessert to take home with us. Yummy!

Ruth’s Chris was excellent and on point per the usual! Food was hot and tasty and drinks were wonderful. I usually only come to this location and have never been disappointed.
Only concern was the way some people were dressed; i.e., shorts, etc. Also, the news that it's moving to Chesterfield. Previously when we've been there for a special occasion someone would take our picture. This year nothing.

No ones fault we love Ruth’s Chris. Because of covid the dining room was boring. The service was great. The chopped salad ordered by two of us didn’t seem to have the original dressing. The appetizer menu was smaller.

We had an excellent server who was aware that we were celebrating our son being excepted into a residency program back when C -19 occurred. We kept telling our son that there was a wonderful place we wanted to take him as soon as the restaurant opened up. Our server was doing such a great job along with one of the managers who was helping. This manger was also on top of his game noticing we hadn’t received our drinks. He brought our drinks with an amazing appetizer which we did not order. Our food was exceptional the steaks melted in your mouth. Our salads and sides were a great choice and delicious. We ended our evening with a dessert. What a wonderful place to celebrate! Also , we always come for their Happy hour , it’s a bit of a drive from Chesterfield but well worth it!
The 3 of us ordered salmon , should have ordered steak at a steak restaurant . It was very plain and lacked flavor .
The meal was very expensive and not great but the service and patio was pleasant .

Great dinner. My boyfriend 60th birthday and I wanted a nice dinner for him. He been wanting steak for weeks and I surprised him. He enjoyed himself and that’s all that mattered to me. He’s still talking about it.

The bone-in ribeye and filet were outstanding, as was the cream spinach. The au gratin potatoes were just okay.

Our attendant did a good job multitasking job duties, only suggestion would be to advise on any item sold out upfront. Otherwise food was delicious and did not disappoint. My hubby & I had a very nice evening at your restaurant. last suggestion To help improve on the ambiance I recommend adding a few tall plants to fill the voids
My filet was not cooked the way I had ordered it, it was overdone and tough. I‘m usually very satisfied with the food at Ruth’s Chris, this was the only time I haven’t been.
