Taking inspiration from the term Rumba, which was introduced in Spain in the early 20th century as rumba flamenco, the restaurant’s dishes flirt, tease and sway on the palate. The flavors are inspired by countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea. Guests can then expect a wide menu comprised of Spanish, Italian, Greek, and a bit of French influences. Rumba focuses on a cooking method using a charcoal oven which infuses smoky flavors into the chef’s specialty dishes.

The restaurant was designed to match the rhythm of the dishes, with a rich patchwork of textures ranging from white floral blooms adorning the walls, to a riveted wood ceiling, and wicker furniture accents in colors that carry the characteristics of the Mediterranean landscape. The ambience is at once laid-back and luxurious and is perfect for a memorable meal out on the town.

    Dining at Rumba's in Makati has been the best restaurant experience I've ever had. The waitress and host were amazing from the moment we entered until we left. I truly enjoyed both the food and the service. I will definitely return!

    Food was lacking flavor, we got the cured meat plate and it tasted like plastic. Wagyu beef dish was very good and so were the croquettes. Overall, the food was very mid for what they were offering. Should’ve taken notice that there were only two people eating at 8pm. Live and learn.

    External looks can be deceiving ... this was slightly OVER RATED. Or perhaps I assumed it was a great dining place because it was located at a prime spot of The Shops at the Ayala Triangle Gardens. Plus, the reservation process gave me an initial "fine-dining feel" ... it definitely raised my expectations. As you enter, the space was quite limited (tight), so that when there were more people in the place, it turned into a Italliani's/Friday's vibe. FOOD QUALITY? It was advertised as a Mediterranean Resto ... but it felt more Spanish meztiso, since it had more Spanish food offerings, while some truffle oil would make it every so often into the dish. Identity crisis here ... like it was trying to be "fusion" but somehow falling short of its intent. Thankfully, I managed to avail of the BPI 50% discount ... otherwise, I would never pay that much for that, no way! What went well? Hanna was very attentive and pleasant ... thank you very much for taking care of us, Hanna! Cocktails ... ok, promising. :-) I'm sure you can be a lot better, Rumba ... please try again!

    food was not as good as i thought. I ordered the vongole and my sister ordered the black ink pasta with prawns.

    DEFINITELY A FAVOURITE SPOT! know they weren't allowed to drink, but we were drunk and insisted, so we sent them sparkling wine and they did! The staff was very warm, and the food was as nice as expected!
