Amy and Sarah took good care of us. Food was awesome!
Everything was perfect.
My wife and I had date night and this place was awesome!!!
Very friendly. Interesting "team" service
We had somewhat "spotty" service- lots
of waiting time between courses.
The food was ok- not great
They do have a limited 3 course menu
12 year anniversary. I was able to book the reservation roughly 6 weeks ahead. Very nice staff and attentive service. Food was reasonably priced considering the service and quality. The wife was very pleased ......until near the end, haha. She noticed someone else had received a "Happy Anniversary" dish and cotton candy.....It bothered her enough that she inquired about it at the front while waiting for me to wash-up on the way out. Turns out that our main waiter (there seems to be 3 or 4 ) dropped the ball. All in all it was nice.
Service was some of the best I've had. Waiters very well organized and pleasant. The $25 prix fixe meal has to be the best value for fine dining in Lafayette
Just a great top drawer restaurant; often take folks from out of town when here for court and they are always impressed. Great appetizers, great drinks, great meals, great desserts. Awesome that they have separate servers for drinks and meals who coordinate. Excellent place with great ambiance.
Flavor and presentation of the food was subpar. Staff is not well trained for a restaurant with this price point.
Great Service. Great food. Excellent overall! We will visit Ruffino's again soon.
They forgot to bring the birthday cake i requested several hours before we arrived
My husband and I took my nephews for a celebration dinner on Valentines night. We had the three course set menu. The crab cheesecake was to die for and the seared tuna and pork cheeks were also delicious. The shrimp corndogs were ok. Fish Katie and pork chops were wonderful, lasagna was rather disappointing. Satsuma mules were a nice take on the traditional Moscow mule. Wine list was a little heavy on higher priced options, but we found a nice wine for under $50. Tiramisu was one of the best I've had and cotton candy was a nice surprise. Overall, a good experience and we will return.
Excellent service at every level. We were seated under an A/c vent which got
cold, but staff quickly responded. Presence of HD TV screens was
unexpected and distracting....if you want a quiet, romantic table, another room would
have to be used. They're trying to satisfy a lot of preferences, it would appear, so
ask for what you want and chances are they have the perfect table
Had a good night but they completely forgot my friend’s Birthday, which was the reason for our night out. Even after this was confirmed today just hours before our meal. Otherwise had a nice time
We ordered the 16 ounce rib eye. Had it in the past. Was over cooked and not more than12 ounces. Were very quick to bring a new one out. Was at most 10 ounces but cooked perfect. Was disappointed after paying that priced to be shorted. As my husband has worked as a meat cutter he was very aware of the size difference in the steak
The food and service were great. Only disappointment was the seating. For a special occasion, we would have preferred not to sit between two large tables. Remember when large groups of 6 or more are seated together, each guest as they arrive stands at the table next to them to greet their friends which made us feel awkward. No big issue, we’ve been married a long time with lots of children and grandchildren.
Very loud that night but a good experience
Although we had a great experience, the area we were seated in was way too crowded. When I was going to be seated (near the bar) there were people, possibly previous guests, sitting at the table I reserved. The bar area should only have those sitting in the bar area and all other guests should have possibly another designated area to either wait or socialize. People were bumping into our table as well. Once it cleared out, the rest of our night was great. Food and service was excellent as well as drinks.
Special group of girlfriends celebrating a birthday this night. Wait staff was attentive, but they always seems to be rushing around in a bit of a frenzy! Soup/salad good as usual and the fish entree was very good but also quite pricey ($36). Not an inexpensive evening, but always very dependable.
Everything was great! My friends and I all tried each other's entrees, and we were impressed with all of the food. Our wait team was amazing...attentive and very helpful. I would definitely return to Ruffino's!
Started with Shrimp Corndogs, ended with VERY good cheesecake. Wonderful steak entree. And we finished with cotton candy! Live music was very good, but too loud for conversation.
Our experience was way better than i would ever expect! 1st time visit from Texas and the atmosphere was great! Reservations is the way to go, waiter/waitress was awesome ! Food was creative and delicious! My family was smiling out the door! Best experience yet!
The service was great.
Where do I start? Made a reservation for 8:00, not seated until 8:30. Took 12 minutes to be greeted and given water. Once we were settled, our server had to look over one of my guests shoulder to ‘tell’ us the specials of the evening. Ordered a ribeye cooked medium, came out black and blue. Asked them to cook it up for me, which they did, all the way to medium rare. Server did not wait until table was done with each course for dishes to be cleared. For a $400 meal, I would expect the level of service to be much much higher. Overall the food was decent at best. I was extremely disappointed and it will most likely be a long time before I return.
As always, a great experience. We decided to order things we haven’t tried before and everything was delicious!
Service was greatttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
Food was okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Price was highhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Another excellent meal...great seafood, and smooth service along with a friendly welcome. There are nice wine options by the glass. The cedar plank redfish" was fabulous, perfectly cooked, as we're tge special scallops. The atmosphere is polished and wuiet, with ample room between tables to allow business conversation.
We were seated near the musician and my parents are hard of hearing. It was frustrating, but it isn't your fault they deny they need hearing aids
We've dined at Ruffino's many times with very good experiences.
Today was a disappointing exception.
We started with the featured appetizer (lobster frittata) which came out almost burned on top but still completely raw inside. We sent it back and what was returned was the same dish, this time completely burned on top. (They should have made a new one.) We ordered a different dish.
My wife's entree was the steamed lobster - it came out cold, with butter in a coffee cup.
My entree was the featured ribeye (ordered medium) which came out with no sear on it (looked like it was steamed instead of grilled).
Even though the manager removed the dishes and was apologetic, it wasn't a good meal at all.
Family dinner for my birthday. Service very prompt. Got a complimentary piece of cake for my birthday. Staff nice. Food was great. Thanks for a nice evening.
We live near this location and have frequented it many times always being disappointed. We were hoping to have a different culinary experience at this restaurant as we were told there was a management change. That did not happen. We have no complaints about the location, ambiance, or service. Always great. However the food is always a let down. It is drowned in butter, too salty, and has mismatched flavor combinations (should barbecue shrimp only taste like crab boil?). Lasagna looks like meatloaf. Chicken parmigiana is not pounded leaving the thick part under cooked and the thin part over done. The food is over priced for the quantity served. The presentation is boring with no herbs, greens, or sides to liven up the dishes. If you are looking for a social scene and a nice cocktail, I would recommend going. But, save your money and taste buds for a different location.
The food was not that good for the price that we paid.
They made my little boy feel special by putting his name and how old he was turning on a plate with a candle.
Very enjoyable Sunday brunch - highly recommend the pom martini.
Ruffino's continues to be one of the prime places in Lafayette to "dine." The service is excellent, which complements the food. The oyster appetizer is especially recommended.
Our evening was perfect! It was my boyfriend and my first time. We celebrated his birthday. Everything there was amazing from the service to the food to the atmosphere. We will be definitely going again.
Food was very bland. My second consecutive experience in a row. I am there at least twice a month. I even bought $ 1,000 worth of gift cards for Christmas. I even contacted the manager. He texted back and was gonna call and he forgot.
I know only to eat steaks there from now on. I thought I can try something different on the menu, but bad experiences both time.
Sorry for the honesty.
We had a great dinner and will be back again soon. The food was excellent and the service was spot on.
Excellent night celebrating a special occasion. Food was very good and service was excellent. Atmosphere is always great and wine selection is awesome. Highly recommend for any occasion or just to treat yourself to a wonderful experience! One of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Lafayette.
Last minute reservation while in Lafayette shopping. One of our new favorites. The sampler appetizer was fantastic and the steak was amazing. Dinner party of five and no one was disappointed. Great evening!
