This was a anniversary for us and I booked reservations 3 months in advance. They did not care, gave us the worst table in the joint. I was looking at a fire exit. The place was about half full but they chose to give us a poor table because we feel the hostess was trying to take care of her friend in a bad section. We walked past 5 or 6 beautiful tables that were never set to get to the back room. They had music playing everywhere except where they sat us. They then said would change tables for us but really only moving 1 table over so she could keep us with save server. Anyways the server was pleasant but directed us to a meal (fish) that was poor. Wonder if trying to get rid of older fish? The fish was way over cooked and felt like cooked in old oil. We did not eat our meals so they offered to get us new food but we declined. They took it off the bill which was good but if I were them I would have comped the entire thing (appetizer and drinks) and ask for them to give them another chance. All they did was give us a bill and never tried to get our business back. We've come here for 30+ years and will never come again as food was poor, felt like dinning in a poor Denny's as nothing to say we a high end place. It's just a cold place and seems they do not care. Would be surprised if they stay in business much longer.

Best service we have had the whole time in Maui and the food can’t be beat. They even surprise you by bringing out a starter for the kids right away. So amazing, so yummy, and we’re so grateful!

Food was not very good. Not as hyped up about, as our hotel transfer who recommended it. This is on a golf course. So ambience was not as expected.

We have been to Roy’s over the years on maui and loved their location in kahana, this location is attached or across from a golf store, don’t like the entrance at all, the food is great but my experience with some of the staff was not as welcoming as it used to be, really wish that the ambience, staff and food was equally excellent. They asked what I thought of my meal and I had to speak the truth, loved the snapper but the green beans were so tuff not even a knife would go through them, they offered something else but once complained no telling what I would get, just saying. I heard in the kitchen them talking about the green beans. Turned me off non professional. I felt very awkward being there.

We’ve been going to various Roy’s restaurants for years. All I can say is that this experience was weird - it resembled Roy’s but wasn’t like any other Rot’s we’ve been to. Several. Items that we love and have come to expect were absent from the menu. Prices were exceptionally high. There was no ambiance. They did begin the meal with their signature edamame- at some Roy’s, you now have to ask, but other than that…

The food was excellent and the service could not have been better. However, the restaurant itself is old, tired and reminded me of an outdated coffee shop. Too bad.
