I’m so glad Roy’s is open on West Maui! The food was fantastic as was the service. Menu is a little limited after the Lahaina fire but everything we had was prepared to perfection

Roy, what happened? Service was fair but our waitress was very nice. Some of our dishes were cold and the Caesar Salad was anything but a Caesar Salad. I think it’s time to give this restaurant a good make over. Very disappointed.

They (like most of the restaurants in the fire area) are open, but check hours as they are eager to make you important visit to help their employees through this recovery time... But hours are often closed earlier than normal as they are working with a refused staff... That is very, very glad to have your support. Best parts, no crowds, genuine high quality services, and outstanding food!

Wife’s food was very good, I had the special loco moco asked for eggs to be cooked easy easy for runny yolk and meat med rare, overcooked both hard eggs and well done meat. To bad, we used to love this place. Service was good other than that.

Roy’s was amazing. The menu had so many great offerings and we decided on the prix fixe - Caesar salad, mahi, short rib, and chocolate ganache dessert - and everything was wonderful. Our host Noel even brought out a candle on my dessert to celebrate my birthday. The short rib was so exceptional Noel answered all my questions on what the chef did to get it so tender. The staff really made us feel welcome and was so appreciative we came.

Unfortunately they are not really ready to open after the fires. Limited menu and service, if you have been here before as I, skipped it as you will be disappointed. Supply chain issues have been to blame, so not sure why the Caesar salad had tomato’s and cucumber. Shrimp pasta was decent, no edamame as was signature at Roy’s. Help was very scarce, I would give it a couple months.

Our server was excellent. He was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. He even remembered that we had someone that needed GF food in our party and came over with a menu indicating which items were GF and which could be made GF. We have been going there for a long time and were a little surprised at how quiet things seemed and the lack of a bar to sit at. However, I would still recommend the food and service. It is a shame it isn’t busier, especially when so many other places that aren’t as nice are. It may partly be the fact the prices are a bit on the high side.

This location claims to have staffing issues but the tables are spread very far apart as though there are still Covid restrictions in place, which there aren’t. Also, there used to always be a pre-fixed menu and now that is no longer offered. Also, there is no seating at the bar as there are not chairs there. All the dirty glassware from the dining room was on the bar counter for the one bartender to clean…as if the dishwater was broken or something. As for the menu, the signature blackened Ahi is a whopping $70!! I mean, it’s very good but def not worth $70, so sadly none of us got it out of principle. The just as good butterfish was $55 and still overly expensive. Not sure if this pricing is consistent at others Roy’s in Hawaii now, but last year at Ko’Olina this certainly was not the case. We’ll be getting our ahi elsewhere. At the pre-fixer menu at $75 (as memory called from visits in the past) made everything seem much more reasonable. This visit was very disappointing.

Great food and all that, but it looks like a Denny’s. The decor is in desperate need of updating. Also, they are keeping in place Covid rules that are ridiculous. No seating at the bar and the tables feels like they are 50 feet apart. Must be stuck in a time warp. What’s more, we were there before sundown with the sun beating on the windows. Even with shades pulled down, its was hotter then heck. Why in the world did they not turn up the A/C is anybody’s guess, but we were cooking. Thoroughly disappointed.

One of the best dinners ever! Our waiter was incredibly funny, relatable and kind. Had great suggestions and just good conversation. Food was incredible. We had ahi sushi and caprese to start. Blackened ahi and braised short ribs for dinner. And finished with a lava cake for dessert. Received gelato as a celebratory gift, which was a kind gesture and delicious! Overall, wonderful night and experience.

I enjoy dining at Roy’s because of the wonderful food, seasoned staff, quiet atmosphere, and the golf course view. It’s also easy to park at this restaurant. It is not hectic and frenetic like many of the Kaanapali and Lahaina restaurants. Everything on the menu is extremely good. Don’t miss it!

Outstanding ambience, service and food! The whole experience was perfect! Our waiter was attentive, mindful of transitioning from one course to the next and offered descriptions of dishes for each course. The calming decor and service is conducive to a relaxing meal. Our recommendations- EVERYTHING that we ate!!! My persnickety 13 year old son tried the Szechuan style baby back ribs and Blackened ahi and LOVED them both. They were delicious! He also LOVED the Honey mustard glazed short rib entree… The meat was so tender. My husband and I ate butterfish and swordfish! YUM! Then, we all shared the Melting dark chocolate soufflé with raspberry coulis and vanilla bean ice cream for dessert was AMAZING! Top notch restaurant… Thank you, Roy’s!!!
