Roy's Beach House at Turtle Bay
The concept and design for the new 140-seat open –air restaurant are a reflection of Roy’s love for white sandy beaches and the ocean. Roy has fond memories of potluck gatherings on the beach with a variety of his family’s favorite dishes- a memory he hopes to create for you at the Beach House.
So please come and indulge in one of our spectacular hand crafted cocktails or choose from a selection of ice cold local beers while you discover the fresh ingredients and outstanding seafood, expertly prepared by our local chefs that have made Roy’s famous.
Staff were very attentive, however, we found it crowded, as in too many tables and hard to move around, the food was just ok- Flavours were lacking in some of our choices. We also found the menu selection limited.
Fantastic! Loved table 213. Chris and Meagan were great on service and conversation!
Everything about the dinner was...fine. There’s really nothing to complain about, but it didn’t feel as polished as eating at others Roy’s restaurants ...despite having a similar price point. To be clear there aren’t a lot of other “special” places on the North Shore, so certainly we were disappointed.
My boyfriend and I have been to the Roy's in Turtle Bay several times, each time having a wonderful experience. Every single time the service is phenomenal. We went on Valentine's Day and our server was Chris, he was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. I've had the Sous Vide Filet Mignon and it is easily the best steak I've ever had. We both highly recommend Roy's for a romantic ambiance with wonderful food.
Roy spoiled us completely! We went for Valentine’s Day while also celebrating our Babymoon and when we got to our table we had a note wishing a Happy Babymoon! 😍 Throughout the meal they adjusted the menu to make it pregancy-safe and everything was absolutely delicious! With the desert they added another slice of cake wishing “Congratulations” in Hawaiian. We absolutely love Roy’s and try to go there as much as we can when we’re there. ♥️
The Valentines special was interesting and good but expensive. The soup was great but could have been more generous portion. The steak was excellent but small. The lobster was served with no melted butter. Mix drinks pricey. Cook and soda were $4 each.
The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Will definetly be returning.
Unfortunately all our food was subpar. Service was excellent and the location is fantastic.
Absolutely stunning atmosphere and the food was amazing. Our waitress was excellent as well!
We had an amazing dining experience. Will recommend to all our friends who visit Hawaii
This was an outstanding meal and dining experience! Service was excellent. Surf and Turf was perfectly cooked and so succulent! Pineapple Upside Down Cake was worth the wait time to prepare! We would go back in a heartbeat!
I’ve been to other Roy’s restaurants, in Kailua., Waikiki and Hawaii Kai. This was the worst one for food. The dishes were overcooked , chewy and stale. We skipped desert, but since it was my wife’s birthday, they did bring out a slice of cake with a candle on it. That cake was the best part of the meal. I had eaten at this place before Roy’s took over 3 and a half years ago. The food was much better then. The service was good.
Was expecting an "OK" experience based on some of the other reviews, but we were blown away - seated at a romantic table overlooking the bay, provided outstanding service and excellent food. My wife's macadamia nut-encrusted mahi mahi was one of the best we have ever tasted. Great wine list, with some surprising selections (e.g. Orin Swift's Abstract). Fantastic experience overall
Great place for all occasions on the beach, we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and everything was spectacular!
We ALWAYS LOVE Roys! This was a unique location and such great casual elegance. Food and service were as outstanding asl always!
Front desk staff wasn’t very friendly or courteous.
The ambiance is always great here because you are Igor by the ocean and have open air breezes. The service can always be counted on for being excellent. The extra for this visit is that Roy was there in person and he made sure to check on each customer in addition to having a special plated meal for the evening. Roy’s never disappoints .
Fantastic tasting menu of 5 courses for $79 per person
Above average beach front dining. Excellent location
Great Sashimi, crab cakes, and pineapple martini.
Mahi mahi is good, but sauce in it is too heavy for the fish. The side dish too vinegary. Should be a nice jasmine rice.
We enjoyed the complete experience, food was awesome
Oysters were served room temp not cold. Main dish was butter fish which was weighted down with a sticky sweet barbecue sauce. Overall way overpriced for the food.
Truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We had a group of 4 and we ordered 2 different appetizers, 4 different meals, and 2 different desserts. Every single item was INCREDIBLE. We sat outside beach front at sunset at a very comfortable table, next to a singer / guitar player who played soft Hawaiian music. One of the best moments of our vacation was this dinner and we will 1000% be back. (We literally went back again the next night haha)
Beautiful, casual setting with upscale food. The staff was attentive and friendly. Price reflective of quality. The food was prepared to enhance, not hide the flavors of the quality ingredients.
Excellent food. Excellent drinks. Excellent service. Beautiful views.
Excellent food and cocktails A pleasant surprise for a resort restaurant! Returned to the bar the next day to try some of the appetizers that looked interesting the night before again, all really good will return
We had reservations for 3 weeks and put in a back area with no view. We then found hair in the desert. It was over priced for the value, only nice thing was our server Walt. He was very friendly and informative.
Shawn Garnett’s music is what we go for. The food being excellent is just a bonus.
Great butterfish. Casual beachside dining.
We live on the windward side and have always visited Royʻs for our very special occasions. I like the Prix Fixe meals because it offers my favorites (short ribs and souflee). There was high winds and waves this weekend but the experience was not dampened. The entire staff worked flawlessly to provide excellent service throughout the evening and the food was no less that wonderful! The Beach House is a little more informal but you always know what to expect from Royʻs.
We were on our honeymoon and wanted to have a special dinner at Roy’s where we had dined two years ago. We could get a table on the beach(terrace) due to the season and weather this time but they prepared a table by the window. Their meals were tasty and the service was friendly and cheerful. They surprised us with a special cake to celebrate our honeymoon. So sweet! We love to go back again next time we are in Oahu.
Went for our 25th wedding anniversary. Food was awesome and service was excellent. The price matches the quality and service!
Let me start by saying I’ve been to multiple locations of Roys throughout Hawai’i and the mainland US and generally had an excellent dining experience
Was Very disappointed with this branch of Roy’s
Lovely location at the Turtle Bay resort but extremely slow service and inexperienced waitstaff
Food took 45 minutes to arrive
My ahi bowl was inedible
Servers were not particularly helpful
Overpriced mediocre food with slow service is not worth your time and money despite the lovely beachside location
People at reception were dull in helpful and didn’t look like they wanted to be there. Rolling their eyes at customers requests and unfriendly. It was a real let down.
Nice vibe. Decent food. Hotel prices.
We went there for our 10th anniversary. Making the reservation online was easy. Traffic to the North Shore was heavy so we called and reset the reservation --- no problem. The service, the food, the value were all excellent. Thank you for a great lunch.
Consistently delicious food and good service in a beautiful setting. Always a stop when we visit Hawaii.
Best food in town with local flavor but kind of casual on the beach.
Pineapple upside down cake dessert is to die for!!
