Great city view and ambiance. Loved it! Nice hang out spot and beautiful hotel!
Lovely and spacious with beautiful views. Pleasant wait staff. Drinks are really pricey We had a bourbon and coke and they charged us $17 for week bourbon and $3 for the coke. Even with the view that’s high. The Prosecco was also really high. One of the highest in the city.
The true stars here are the view and the bar tender Brandon! Drinks are great, small plates filling..view SPECTACULAR!
My husband and I ate there 2 nights, a testimony to how much we enjoyed it. Portions were generous and price reasonable. The service was quick. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff adhered to Covid practices.
We are on vacation visiting WWII museum, and dinner we had was reasonable and tasted great. Will definitely go there again
Beautiful place for a drink and sunset
Staff is always friendly
Please get rid of the paper plates and no table service. It would have made all the difference. The view is spectacular but some elements kill the ambiance—less romantic. Food offerings are meh.
We had a reservation and were told to find a table ourselves and given no menus while we witnessed other people being provided menus and shown table options by staff. We then ordered a Caesar salad with blackened shrimp and fried oysters and an order of Buffalo wings at the window. We were notified later that they were out of oysters. The staff yelled my name for the order and does not bring the food to the table while other tables had their food brought to them. The wings were cold, and the salad came in a plastic container with dressing from packets. The views and location are really great, but the food and service are awful.
Would not waste my money a second time at this location. We were told reservations were required, so we obtained before we arrived. However, this was unnecessary as seating was not monitored and was a free-for-all. Took a while to figure out how to order drinks or food as there were no signs...other guests were trying to go to the bar, however they were sent away. Finally figured out you had to go to one window in the middle of the restaurant and then they would attempt to call your name when your drink/food order was ready even though the television was blaring loudly over the speakers. The drinks were way overpriced - they served the martini in a small champagne glass...really, a bar without martini glasses?? We got a shrimp po boy (which was the only decent thing we had) and a charcuterie board which was shameful - 6 pieces of lunchmeat folded over on a toothpick and 2 pieces of cheese.
While this was the only eatery in the vicinity for the hotel patrons (the restaurant was closed) - I would not return nor would I recommend it to anyone.
LOOOOVE it here. Intimate setting. Very quiet and beautiful view of the city.
While we didn’t dine and Covid rules kept us from engaging with staff like normal, we truly enjoyed our visit. The staff was warm and welcoming and the seating was ample. The drinks were heavily poured and the views were amazing. Very laid back and romantic. Will definitely be back.
Special evening-72nd birthday. We both had the smashed burgers. Cooked and prepared to perfection. John's beer and my white wine were both wonderful. In fact, I got the name of my wine to purchase it in my home city. Desserts! The Warm Chocolate Cake with really Cold Vanilla Ice Cream and Salted Caramel Sauce was superb. The freshly baked Beignets tossed with Satsuma Dusting Sugar, Warm Chocolate Dipping Sauce were also cooked to perfection; crisp on the outside and light on the inside. I'd be tempted to drive the 3 hours there and 3 hours back just to eat at Rosie's on the Roof again.
This bar has every chance to be a great rooftop spot in New Oreans. Unfortunately they just don't seem to care about quality or service. It should be first class, but everything about the experience felt cheap.
The rooftop bar gives a wonderful view of the city and the food and drinks were made well and quickly. However, the price for some items is on the higher end. Would definitely recommend checking it out.
Crab Beignets mostly crust and very little crab. Smoked fish dip good. Fish and chips fairly good, but unreasonably expensive in my view. Going there was almost as expensive as GW Fins.
I came here with some friends for a late dinner. The place is cool, food and drinks are reasonable, great view. My only complaint is that during a pandemic the restaurant failed to follow covid rules. There was a group staying in the hotel that was up on the rooftop. They approached us unmasked and we asked them to leave. Because the gentlemen were drunk they brushed it off and didn’t leave. One member of my party went to ask the restaurant for help because restaurants are supposed to stop unmasked people from approaching groups they don’t know according to Louisiana covid rules. They failed to help us because the group was paying an extra $165/employee per hour for the restaurant to stay open til 11:00pm. My struggle is the restaurant and staff have an obligation to protect their customers and because I wasn’t delving out $165 per person per hour, my health and safety was not a consideration.
We didn’t even get to stay because we were treated so pooly by the staff. I spoke with the manager downstairs and she did get us set up with drinks and crab beignets which was great. It was just really disappointing because we really wanted to enjoy ore dinner cocktails on the roof
Due to Covid it was not the experience we had been looking for. The drinks where good. And the view nice.
There was no table service. The sound was terribly loud with a football game. It was a very disappointing experience.
It was crowded when we arrived and it appears that our table for our reservation wasn’t reserved. We had to wait
Food and view were good but menu was somewhat limited, probably due to Covid restrictions. One suggestion I would make is regarding the way they announce your order is ready; your name is called out and during times of higher activity and noise, it can tend to be drowned out in the din and your food sits. I would go back again.
Service was considerably limited due to Covid. But I felt like they went to an extreme requiring patrons to go up to a window order that food can you come back to the window to pick it up. Everything was served in plastic and plastic forks and knives. I understand they may have taken these precautions for Covid but it was not advertised as a limited service fast food restaurant
Beautiful view - recommend dinner 1/2 hour before sunset so you can see the city in daylight and the lights after sunset.
Rosie has let me down. Food is fair to good. Service is problem the worst part of all. But extents to the whole hotel. They never know what is up. But with that said the hotel and view from Rosie is great. Would recommend the hotel and/or Rosie to anyone because of how it looks but would warn about the service.
I made a reservation for Rosie's but when I arrived it was self seating- no hostess. So what is the point of a reservation system. Luckily one outdoor table was empty. Everything is self service with no waitstaff (not a problem) but also NO cleaning of the tables between patrons. Not good during covid. View is spectacular which is the whole point of going,
I think they staff didnt really care. The food was fantastic. But everything else was not great. They ruin there veiw of the city with these trees. And you have to go up to a counter to order and pick up you drinks. Very odd. Also The staff was on their phone a lot. I would not recommend this place.
Our table was inside due to light rain, but beside an open door for fresh air and covid comfort. A beautiful nighttime view of New Orleans! Nice for just drinks or a good light meal menu in a casual setting.
It should have never been part of Coolinary. The food was served with plastic dishes and cutlery and the quality was lover than what you get on a plane.I have had better nachos at a movie theater. My husband opted for the coolinary menu and was also disappointed,
Staff friendly great view
Went Rosie’s for the Coolinary experience and it exceeded our expectations. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Anne, the manager, ensured our visit went well. The menu delivered was excellent. Great value from the cocktail listing to the menu offered
Highly recommend to enjoy the rooftop dining area, overlooking our beautiful city
Wonderful way to spend a Saturday evening with friends
Got to Rosie’s and they told me to sit anywhere. My reservation was never honored. We were taking my boyfriends family out to eat which is rare for them. And we had to fashion our own table and chairs from other people’s because our reservation meant nothing.
Food is walk up fast casual but NOT with fast casual prices. I think this is a one and done for me thing. So disappointed. Will say thankfully food was better than we thought. Drinks were ok, not 12 bucks a pop good.
Beautiful view. Drinks are pricey. Happy hour 5-6. No service during COVID. Basically, take out but you can sit and eat. Very little shade, but nice at sunset and later.
The view is beautiful, however some food was prepared , salad, lettuce was bad and egg was not fully cooked, they did refund us, but I was hoping for a better food experience.
Nice evening.
Nice views, but nothing much more. You order food through a window (maybe this is just during COVID-19?) and it comes in a box. Everything with the meal was fine, but nothing is better than ok.
This is a nice place to go to meet friends for a drink so I might return, but I won't be going back for dinner.
I arrived to the rooftop bar and my reservation was not honored.
We had an enjoyable drink and meal up on the roof. The view is great, very "urban" and we had nice weather and enjoyed a lovely sunset. There were many tables and chair choices (self seating), including some dining chairs and some club chairs. Nice mix of older and younger patrons, men/women, black/white, gay/straight. The restaurant/bar is described as Rosie the Riveter "themed" but it was minor in terms of decor. You go for the view, and for the drinks. We had beers and moscow mules, plus nachos and a chicken sandwich, all great. There are some spectacular culinary options in NOLA, this is a nice bar with decent food and a spectacular view when the weather cooperates. You order at a self serve window, and they call your name when things are ready.
Food and service great. We opted to sit inside after getting rained on last night. Still think they need more umbrellas tables so when/ if it does rain, the patrons aren’t chased away. There are NO options for covered dining except for maybe 4 tables.
This hotel is a 5 star, but need to ramp up their food facilities for people staying here.
If you are offering only roof top dining, at least have shelter for when it rains. There were a few tables inside( one long table table and two small ones and then many tables outside , but one umbrella and was not even positioned over a table. When the rain came, we had to scramble and carry our take out food to our room!!!! With a bill for almost $100 for 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks, I think Rosie’s On the Roof could do a little better.
