Sometimes all you want is a nice quiet steak dinner. On the road and decided to treat. This was the opposite of that. The place is nice looking and the food was fine; service and ambience were not. The server was nice, but very inattentive - mostly because of the 9 guy middle-aged frat party that was loud, boorish, and demanding. Hate to ding the restaurant, but that party ruined the evening for me and the two tables near me - all I think complained. Should have seated them in a more remote area. Having said that, I rarely heard from my server except to tell me they were out of baked potatoes - in a steakhouse. So, not so great.

Rosebud Steakhouse never disappoints…martinis and Unshackled Wine were excellent, ribeyes were like cutting through butter and so delicious. Ambience provided for great dining experience with friends and the service was and is always second-to-none!! Definitely the place to go!!

The food has always been consistently good and a very nice quality of beef used for the steaks. The only negative side to the restaurant is the acoustics are not very good and when it's full and a crowd at the bar You have trouble talking to everyone at your table. If you go at an off hour later in the evening past happy hour at the bar, your chances are having a more quiet atmosphere or high

The food choices have never changed. The choice of rolls was poor. Too salty and peppery. The steak came well-done and not pink. The waiter did take it off the bill. They do not have thousand island dressing. I would not return.

Great ambiance; however, the food was hit or miss. The steaks were cooked to order, so no complaints there. The sides were a miss. The creamed spinach had way too much cheese, as did the cauliflower gratin. The asparagus was overcooked and tough. Service was very slow, so much so that we passed on dessert. For example, we arrived and were seated at 7:00pm and did not leave until 10:30pm. With all the chop houses in Chicago and near the Drake, we'll take a pass on another visit.

Great restaurant. Food and service are excellent. Our favorite waiter is Chris and our favorite bartender is Jef. Both have a wonderful sense of humor. Very service-minded. Rosebud's Steakhouse is a fun, energetic place. We will definitely be back!

My family had a wonderful dinner at Rosebud Steakhouse. Beautiful restaurant and our server, Chris, was incredible. The food was exemplary and we will go back again as soon as we can. The steak was excellent and perfectly prepared but the baked potato was ice cold and the bread was burnt. The restaurant wasn't nearly full but the staff seemed to be chaotic. Given the OpenTable rating and history, I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, I just can't recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Chicago just has too many other great options. I hope this was just a bad night and our situation was unique compared to others.
