Nestled in Oceanside, California, Rose Cafe is a culinary gem where fresh, local ingredients meet coastal charm. Upon entering, you'll be welcomed by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fresh baked croissants and our friendly staff.

For brunch you cant go wrong with one of our avocado toast or our staff favorite the fried chicken and egg served with corn bread pancakes and a calabrese hot honey. For Dinner Chef Katie has reconnected with her culinary roots and produced a elevated Coastal Californian cuisine, her personally favorite is her Local Halibut or the Calabrian shrimp and grits. We strive to stay seasonal and source local.

At Rose Cafe, we aim to create an inviting atmosphere. Our bright space is perfect for a leisurely brunch or a quick bit. At dinner we dim the lights create the mood for a nice romantic atmosphere, where your taste buds will feel loved. What a gem in South O! Rose Cafe strikes the perfect balance of casual atmosphere, darling decor, and outstanding culinary excellence. Beautiful selection of appetizers and entrées, perfect service, and the wine offerings were delightful. It’s now on my Highly Recommend dinner list for friends and visitors. Rose Cafe, you are a beauty!

What a great local add! Great food - interesting twists on traditional dishes - decades in the south and the shrimp and grits so tasty! Generous portions of very well cooked shrimp and just enough grits for tasting but not filler! And the crispy leek strips - come on - you go girl! The mushroom arancini - another twist - vegetarian protein and again just enough gooey cheese - crispy outside - could have been on our street food tour in Rome but instead we has a sweet banquette seat in our home town! Best of luck on the dinner service!

When I arrived for my reservation at 530pm. The cafe was dark and locked. Sign on the door said Monday had dinner hours starting at 4pm. Very confusing.

Hi Karen, We’re so sorry for the confusion and inconvenience when you arrived for your reservation. That was our mistake—we failed to update our dinner hours on OpenTable, and we sincerely apologize for the mix-up. Due to labor considerations, we’ve had to scale dinner service back to Thursday through Sunday while we work on building up our team and growing demand for dinner service. Our goal is to reopen dinner on Mondays and Wednesdays as things pick up, and we truly appreciate your patience during this transition. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope you'll consider giving us another try for dinner soon, Thursday through Sunday, we’d love the opportunity to make it right. I am a big FOODIE! Katie and her team nailed it with atmosphere, service and the flavors! We had the salmon dip, burger, kids chicken and the baked chicken. All I can do is dream about the next time I get to relax at my favorite local breakfast spot turned favorite dinner spot! Can't wait to see what else they are cooking each season!
