The interiors are delightful. The food is yummy. Our server was TOO attentive - so overzealous to please us and to make sure everything was fine (before we could even swallow)... they need to be a bit more relaxed, yet attentive.
The ambience of this place is spectacular. Amazing Decor! Great music! It feels like you’re sitting In your Italian great grandmother’s living room. Very very cool. The cocktails were some of the best we’ve had in town. The appetizers were very good and the pasta was solid. But at that price point, I was expecting a little more excitement in the pasta dishes particularly. The service was great!
All in all, it was a wonderful evening and great meal. But, at this price point, I was expecting the pastas and appetizers to be a little more interesting along the lines of Nobies, Coltivare, Nancy’s hustle, etc.
Absolutely outstanding culinary adventure. The dishes were all incredibly delicious, the service stellar (thanks Alyssa), and the drinks so very yummy! The pasta was the most delicious and amazing ever! Atmosphere is so eclectic and awesome. Special thanks to Annie Balest, General Manager and Executive Chef, Sasha Grumman for making this an experience to remember in so many ways! ABSOLUTE DELIGHT
Love the place. Luckly, they put us in the back quiet area away from the noiser area. Waitress was great. My companions enjoyed their food, but it was my only sore point. I had the daily special (lasagna) and it was the not good. The pasta layers were either dried out or uncooked and tough as leather. That is not anyone's idea of lasagna. Perhaps it was due to the recipe using pesto rather than (a more watery) tomato sauce.
I will give it another change as I love the location, but I will pass on the lasagna.
The service was extremely poor.
This is where my supervisor likes to do his business lunches. So, you get 5 stars from me! Thank you!
We had a very nice evening at Rosalie before a concert, taking advantage of their daily special (Thursday was sausage and beans) and adding on the Branzino and roasted cauliflower. These yummy entrees and sides were paired with the very generously portioned Burrata appetizer, leaving us pleasantly satisfied and ready to rock. The service was stellar and the vibe was cool, putting us in a playful mood, ending the meal feeling like valued guests and friends.
The food was great. The waitstaff needs some work but this will hopefully improve with time as the restaurant is still relatively new. They need a better selection of wines and the waitstaff should be familiar with the bar menu, not just the cocktail list. The food is great - go there for the food and hopefully the wine selection and waitstaff improve with time.
Restaurant experience was good. Valet at hotel was a nightmare.
Food was decent. Some things were excellent and the tuna crudo was really bad. The pastas were solid. Tiramisu was still frozen in center. It's inexpensive and close so we'll be going back.
Extraordinarily average. With possibly unrealistic expectations, it was an overall disappointing experience, which is unfortunate because it’s such a cool space. The flavors of almost everything were good, but the plating of almost everything was sad. The presentation at Olive Garden is superior. Our server was very sweet and helpful, but when a guest is paying $75+ on a bottle of wine, there is nothing funny about not knowing how to pronounce the wines on the wine list. Not a comment on the server personally, but a criticism of the training provided by the restaurant. This place needs a lot of improvement and quickly. It already has the fact that it’s a hotel restaurant working against it. Can’t imagine it will prevail. Won’t return.
Wasn’t too excited about being seated in the bar area when I made a reservation five weeks prior. Glad they moved us though (upon request), but it did bother me. It’s a very interesting layout, being divided into 3 separate rooms. Not really a big fan of that, or how close the tables are to each other (at least in the middle room), but the food was good and the service was as well.
Mid century modern with well placed foliage. Delicious food and great drinks. Service was a bit slow but we did go on Valentine’s Day so forgiven. We will be back
The food was top notch (I recommend starting with some Focaccia!), the staff were friendly and attentive, and the décor was cute and fun. Definitely recommend for a business lunch, a date night, or any other occasion.
Service was very friendly and welcoming. We were very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the food. We weren't expecting much from a hotel restaurant, but it was a convenient spot after a Rockets game. Caesar salad was cold and delicious with just the right amount of anchovy. Pasta with red clam sauce was rather unusual and we loved it. Meat lovers pizza was sensational. Pretty good $50 bottle of wine, and the large serving of tiramisu was fantastic. And they didn't charge us to valet park, although I don't know what is customary for the restaurant.
Long wait time for drinks and food.
First time to Rosalie and we were excited! They seated us right away, we went at 7 I believe and it was pretty empty at that point. We sat down ordered some drinks and apps. These were good. The Italian salad was the best thing I ate all night. The meatballs were great as well.
The entrees took so long to come out prob 30+ minutes, they brought us another app on the house. Which was nice but none of the entrees we had (with 6 people) were very good. I understand they had gotten a lot busier by the time we got entrees, but they possibly should have taken less bookings or something. I had the Branzino and it was super salty and hard to eat - I barely ate half. Won’t be back sadly.
The menu was limited but everything we had was excellent- the burrata, the salume board, the shells and clams, the Italian salad, and the cocktails.
Very good in every aspect! We will definitely go back- their homemade pasta is delightfully thin and hanger steak was perfect. Plus they validate parking ;)
Hotel has a cool boutique vibe
Our server Tony was attentive and kind. The hostess and Tony were able to help me pull together a last minute great tasting desert with a candle to celebrate my loved ones birthday. Our food tasted great and we laughed really loud without being judged. Thanks once again.
Need more staff in the bar
Nice atmosphere. Casual service. Food was generally good, but I found the pizza and crab manicotti disappointing. Caesar Salad, Focaccia, and Rigatoni were outstanding. Cannoli and cookie plate were just okay.
Made reservations for 615 on a Thursday night. Seated as soon as we got there. Sever was attentive. Food was good. Complimentary valet parking was nice. Had dinner and walked to the Hobby center. Convenient location for shows in downtown Houston.
We had the best experience with service and food!!! Keep up the great management and staff. Everyone there is so accommodating and lovely to have a conversation with as well. The “impossible” burger tastes so amazing!!! Thank you for the Vegan options! The ambiance is the icing on the cake 🥳🙌💜
This was my second visit to Rosalie and I brought more friends with me. We started with the Risotto appetizer, it was delicious and has become my favorite appetizer at Rosalies. Between the 3 of us we had a Pepperoni pizza, Ravioli (daily special), and the Meatball Sandwich. All 3 entrees were wonderful and we loved the ambiance. We were having a working lunch and were able to focus on the work items while enjoying a lovely meal. I can confidently state that all 3 of us will be returning!!
We went on a Sunday for brunch. The lunch menu was very limited. Not much in the way of pasta dishes. But overall quality of the food was delicious. The Arancini and ricotta and foccaccia appetizers and pizza was delicious. The cannoli was also very good. I would go back to try the dinner menu.
Food was good but not great IMO. Burrata needed more flavor and perhaps salt; pizza was very good; ravioli was very good but needed more filling; Branzino was good but needed a lot more of the mushrooms and arugula side; cauliflower “caio de pepe” was bad; and desserts (cookies and tart) were good. So overall a decent experience—there’s just other Italian places that I prefer much more.
The design of this restaurant was impressive. You can tell they put a lot of thought into even the smallest touches. The waitstaff was friendly and professional. Drinks were amazing and food was mouthwatering! I will definitely be back and I can’t wait to show this place off to my out of town guests.
I love this restaurant! The atmosphere is so retro! The service is impecable! Our waiter Jessica was so attentive and took the time to share her favorite dishes! The Ravioli were amazing! And the vanilla soft serve is delicious! The italian cookies made us think of our Nona!
Annie Balest is the general manager and she is amazing! Thank you for a great evening!
I love Rosalie. Such a unique aesthetic and atmosphere. Quality service and delicious food.
Food was good but service was very slow.
I went there for a women's lunch on a weekday and it was perfect! The ambiance was great, and everyone enjoyed their food. Would definitely go back!
Four of us had the most enjoyable dining experience at Rosalie. We selected from among the menu choices dishes that we could share among us. Arancini, manicotti, pizza with mushrooms and onions, mama's meatballs, assortment of cookies and none was disappointing. Our service was exceptionally attentive. The ambiance delightful and the noise a bit less than expected. All in all it was a great time. Wine service professional as well. We'd retorno a Rosalie in an instant.
The food was delicious. Its homemade so its going to take awhile to get it but then its worth it. The pizza was amazing. Calamari was great. There is a sourdough bread loaf (I couldn't hear what it was called) that was so good. I wanted to eat it. I should have bought one to go. That good! I passed a waiter with a nice large beautiful salad entering the restaurant and thought I'm going to get that. Then mine came and I was disappointed because it was so small. They only have one size so it wasn't that, it was just very small. We had three at our table and none were consistent in size. Don't add chicken either... we couldn't tell if it were chicken or pork and it was not the best tasting. Would have done better asking for more anchovies. Other than the chicken and the size it really was delicious. We came during the week at lunch time and the noise level was extremely high. There were six of us and we could not hear each other at all. The acquisitions are bad. With all that, absolutely, I would come back, after or before a busy time and I would again have pizza and salad (no chicken).
Dinner is great. I enjoyed lunch as well, but prefer it as a dinner spot because of the heavier average meal offered at lunch.
Consistently good food and service.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Food is excellent.
The food was excellent but the service needed improvement.
Our service was amazing and so was the food! Coming from hard to please and a bit picky, i will be visiting again very soon to try the pizza. Our server, Adrian was on point and such an attentive waiter. Love, love, love, walking by the glass to see the pizza creations in action. A definite must try.
