Amazing makeover of a historical landmark in Longmont. Wonderful ambience, great staff, innovative, healthy, beautiful and heartwarming food. Perfect for business groups, regular lunches and dinners, special occasions, happy hour, more! Highly recommended. The area has needed exactly this for quite a long time.

What an amazing place to have a lovely meal. The history of the establishment east so amazing and there were so many great details. I love what they have done with bringing their own flare to the far room as well. It’s really nice to see the two works fuse together in such harmony. The menu is fantastic and the taste did not disappoint. It was a lovely experience all the way around!

We have been here twice before. The first time we were put in a outdoor igloo that was warm and cozy and the food was great. I ran around telling everyone I know that they need to try this place. Second time we went, we brought family to enjoy the awesome experience we had before. Sadly the food was not the same but at least the service was still great. The third time, My wife and I figured we are 1 for 2 so lets give it another shot. We made reservations for valentine's day dinner. The best option offered was a 4 course meal for $125.00 each person. We were excited thinking back to our first visit with high hopes for this time. Appetizers were the best part but neither of us are a big fan of liver. I have have had it many times and it was on point but I wish our server would have been better equip to describe what it was due to the fact they chose to call it foie gras. Translation = fatty liver. We didn't know and neither did our waiter. There was nothing wrong with this dish, we just didn't know what we ordered. Then the salad came. BOOOO A few greens. my wife had four mozzarella balls in hers and mine 1. On top was a failed balsamic dressing. Although It sucked so far we were still optimistic. Finally after an hour and a half we received our main course that looked pretty good but was a pathetic attempt. I don't understand what to this place. Our reservation was at 6. They were not at capacity with more then enough people on the floor. During our 1 1/2 hour wait for our food I witnessed a runner take a meal to a table that was just seated, After a minute our waitress noticed and literally punched him, informing him of his mistake. He went back, grabbed the food and set it on the proper table without regards to the fact it was in someone else's possession. VERY POOR TRAINING AND PROTICAL. They charge 22% auto tip and on the receipt suggested what we should pay for tip on top of that. $350.00 for the most bizarre restaurant experience ever!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The setting and ambience are spectacular. It is very peaceful and serene, with lots of open space and beautiful windows. The service was perfect. The food was very good. Was there for a delightful brunch. Absolutely will be coming back.

Go here, try it, good food and great service. Lilly our wait persone top notch. For some fun and a different meal atmosphere -- or if just want to be separate from any other patrons... pay the extra to eat in one of the outside cool huge lighted plastic Igloos.

The 22 % increase on the bill is ridiculous. We were shocked on New Years Eve and despite the wonderful meal and service it ruined our night. Ridiculous for a $300 bill to unexpectedly add 22% which made the bill incredibly high. Never again will we eat at Roots. We were so sure you had changed, we brought all our neighbors. Never again. You’ve lost our business again and 4 other neighbors. We were so embarrassed that we invited them. I will be posting this on our neighborhood blog. At least post it on the menu. I doubt you’ll get any business with that charge. So so disappointed

The food was fabulous. The portions were large. The service was ok. The servers always had a smile, but they seemed short staffed. When it was time for our bill, the deposit had not been applied. Once the deposit was applied, we were initially taken back by the bill total. After being provided with a detailed invoice (we had to request this), we were being charged a 22% sustainably fee. This fee was not advertised on the Root’s NYE webpage or in the confirmation email received. The server had to explain the fee. I typically tip 20%, I was just taken back how the fee was being added with no upfront notice.

While our server, Lily, was very kind and attentive, the food was not up to par. It is very much a caterer turned restaurant owner. I would not use the term chef here. The truffle fried were well seasoned but from a frozen bag of fries. The dates were flavorful but seemed over baked which may mean cooked earlier and reheated or just over-baked. The meatball app was clearly a meatball from a frozen bag also, the taste and size. It was a huge step down from my own cooking at home.

Pluses and minuses, but a really good Thanksgiving experience. I loved that it wasn’t crowded! The staff was terrific and likely the key reason we will be back. No complaints about the food either. It was good, just not great. I’m not really sure what to think about the food so we will have to visit again with a regular menu.

The service staff was very kind and attentive, the best part of this experience. The food presentation and taste was not worth the price. The chicken Mediterranean was very very dry and the lamb was nice but tasted reheated in microwave. The mock tails were very very good, the blood orange specifically. The mandatory 22% for service staff and zero footprint gratuity is a nice idea but wish it was more apparent prior to receiving check to avoid double gratuity, that for which I can take responsibility. Unfortunately we won’t be back, the food was not worth the cost and ultimately that was the reason of our visit despite the staff and drinks being very nice.

Our first time here and was looking forward to an eclectic menu and music. Unfortunately, it fell flat in terms of food quality, entertainment (no music on Saturday night) and value. Unlikely to return as have other favorites in the area.

We were in Broomfield for a reunion and were looking for a fun place to eat before the official festivities kicked off. We sat outside--what a beautiful venue! All the food was delicious; we especially loved the Brussels sprouts, but everything was fantastic. The staff was attentive. Even though our server told us it was only his second day, he was knowledgeable about the menu and did a great job. Chef came out to chat with us, which was a nice treat. Definitely this is a place we will go back to whenever we are in the area.

We LOVED our experience at Roots! I’m vegan my husband is not and both of us loved our meal, with a few small plates we shared! The music the night we went was fantastic! We will be back for sure!

First off, it looks nothing like the photos. Secondly, the Mother’ Day brunch was on table tops and then like coffee tables. I thought it was a joke. It was cheese and crackers, yogurt and toppings, ham and dried potatoes, chia pudding and waffles. That’s it. For food!!!!! Desert was churros which were raw in the center and bread pudding. I went with my two kids and paid $120, and that was on top of the $30 I had to put down for a deposit. So in total I spend $150.

The food was delicious. The lobster mac and cheese and enchiladas were our favorites. Some plates were much smaller than others and the prices were high for some plates with not very much food. Definitely ask your server for suggestions and if your order looks like the right amount. So nice to have a lot of options in one place. Great outdoor seating area to enjoy the nice weather and live music inside. Such a nice find.

The restaurant was nearly empty at 5:45 on a Saturday - just one other table was sitting when we arrived, but it still took a full 10 minutes after being sat to be approached by our server. When we were sat by the hostess (who was wearing fitness attire), she showed us the QR code to retrieve the menu, but when our server came over 10 minutes later she brought actual menus. The soda I ordered was no longer available. The $6 Shirley Temple was served in a glass that couldn't have been more than 10 oz and was somehow mostly flat. At 6, the 3rd and final member of our party arrived and it was another full 10 minutes after she arrived for our server to return - this means, we were sat at 5:45, our server visited at 5:55 and then not again until 6:10. Seems wild for a nearly empty restaurant. She did say she had a table outside, but that doesn't really excuse the long waits. The food we ordered all tasted great, but the service and environment was just bad - weird. This restaurant charges a 22% environment and employee fee, but when they have you pay your bill, their system still asks if you'd like to to leave additional tip - one of our party didn't realize this and ended up paying an extra 45% on top of her food charge - wild. Would recommend, with warning, because the food was good.

We were looking forward to eating at this restaurant. We loved the ambiance and the music but unfortunately the food and service was not great. The bison sliders were overcooked, the lobster mac and cheese did not have good flavor and when they forgot one of our plates, it came 30 minutes after we were done eating. We did like the lamb vindaloo though.

The wide range of choices on the menu made it easy for everyone to have things they liked. The small plates are small, so you can try lots of different things. A great place to go and have a leisurely dinner with friends

DO NOT hesitate going to Roots. The space was a mid-century building in the middle of a neighborhood. Cozy and laid back - just right for a relaxing dinner. The food was AMAZING! No other word. Clearly made in house and the shrimp on the Po'Boy was cooked perfectly. Alexis was our waiter, his first night, and he was awesome. Great service, very attentive, made sure that my food allergy was know and my food prepared safely for me (a sauce had an ingredient that I had asked to be excluded from my entree and he had the sauce put on the side to keep me safe!). Wow - my only criticism is their credit card machine starts tipping too low at 10%. But that was easily fixed by hitting a custom tip percentage.

I felt very awkward at this place. It’s a nice reception hall that they filled with folding tables and chairs for a restaurant. The music was weird, decorations more reminiscent of a mediocre reception. Food was average. The best thing about dinner was my company. I would not recommend this place to friends.

We had a wonderful time getting the different tapas and being able to try so many things! Loved the teriyaki salmon w cauliflower rice, bison sliders, sweet potato fries, Caribbean tacos and the truffle lobster Mac and cheese. We also enjoyed trying the charcuterie board and chicken gyros. Lovely sitting inside, spread apart from other tables and quaint place. I would love to try when it’s summer time. We would have enjoyed trying the igloos but I thought the per person fee just to be in the igloo was not worth it.

Really disappointed with the service and quality of food. We were seated for almost 45 minutes before ordering even drinks. The menu was subpar and our final course was steak which arrived cold. The wine selection was also mediocre.
