Wonderful staff and wonderful food. Only thing that could improve is the food running. All food came out separately one at a time by one food runner, back and forth. My meal was forgotten and everyone else was almost finished. However, overall I love this spot.
Great ambiance and service. Most of the food was very good but there were a few “misses” (we didn’t like the pimento cheese at all and the mac’n cheese was surprisingly spicy). All in all we had a very nice experience and will return.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was transitioning to a new chef. A number of entrees were not available and although our server was excellent, the food was delayed and was served as it became available. Our server kept us informed and did the best she could but the conditions were not under her control. The food was as good as always but the drinks were not.
Went for Sunday Brunch. Showed up at 9:57am for a 10am reservation. Door wasn’t open so we thought we went to the wrong door since it was our first time. Walked around and saw some wait staff setting up outside who first ignored us. I asked where she’s ups we wait and a girl wait staff snapped “we aren’t open yet and that is not the right door. Go back to the other side.” Well good morning to you too! The hostess was nice when we finally got in and sat down. The server was fine until the first plate came out. Then about 10 minutes later 2 other plates came out. We were a table of 5. When asked if he thought the other plates would come out soon (so we could wait and eat together), he told us “this is a family style service, plates come out as ready”. No where did the menu say that nor did he. The over medium eggs were over cooked to hard boiled status and there was no seasoning but salt on everything. Home fries consisted of a couple of French fries on a plate. Avocado toast was mainly full of onions with no taste of avocado. Waffles were light, airy and quite tasteless. No host ever came by asking how everything was. Just disappointing overall. Food, service, quality. The place was pretty. We were expecting a great experience based on friends suggestions only to find out that this restaurant is under completely new management and new staff. It really shows. Don’t bother going, this place is not a do over. Family style, pathetic breakfast where the first person finishes eating while the last person starts. Awful!! The only reason it has two stars is because the coffee is good and the place is really inviting. But you go to a restaurant for the food and service. No stars there.
Really simple review...Root & Bone has a great combination of beautiful interior design & fantastic southern food with staff that paid attention to the details.
Food was delicious and service was great. Hostess accommodate with the last inside seats even though reservations were for outside and it was raining. And our server was great with recommendations
The food was outstanding.
The only flaw we experienced was that the service was a little slow. We asked on two occasions for beverage and food to someone different from our designated server, and the message was never relied upon and never got what was asked. I will go again the food is delicious.
Very delicious food and friendly staff I recommend this place and the drinks amazing 🤩
The food was really good! One thing to know is that they don’t have plant based milk, so I had to drink my coffee back. Not a huge deal, but it’s a little odd for a brunch place now a days not to have plant milks. Also we had an outdoor table reserved and they put us out on the side next to the main road, no shade, at noon. We asked to be moved and they accommodated but they really should add umbrellas to that side. It’s too hot to be seated there otherwise.
Experience was good. Only downside is 2hr into our reservation someone was kicking us out of our table saying we had to leave by 8:45. I think that should change.
I have coming here since it opened and have only just started back since Covid. The staff is very friendly and I find the food is always very good. I usually go for Sunday brunch and have to say, although I like the menu, it is not your typical eggs/breakfast menu and they are not accommodating in varying from the menu. Recently I was with someone who wanted an omelette, not on the menu. Scrambled eggs? Yes. Ok, can you mix something in the eggs for me? No.
Realy nice ! Only I was pretty worried about social distance too many people closer of my table without face mask
This was such a cute place to gather with friends or family and just spend time with company in such an aesthetic and delicious place.
The service was fantastic!!!!!! Food was very good too but what made it stand out was def the service.
We had a great time at Root & Bone! It was our second time having dinner there and they did not disappoint. We got there around 9 PM on a Friday and though I didn’t expect it to be so crowded, the service was quick — our drinks and our food came out faster than I expected. It was pretty loud indoors — not so bad that we couldn’t hear each other talking, but there were points where we had to repeat what we were saying or raise our voices over the babel.
We would definitely go back though! Excellent spot and would definitely recommend!
Great place to seat outside. Service was ok. Menu is a little overpriced for the amount of food. Drinks are so-so because their names are not traditional. Their selection of sparkling wines is very good and inexpensive. We had the entree of shrimp & grits which was not traditional and really not that good. It was very bland and tasteless. The desert was carrot cake in a cup which was excellent. There is no bread served with dinner order but for a charge they have the best biscuits anywhere.
As all restaurants now they need to hire more help. It’s not their fault no one wants to work when the government sends you money.
Other than that the staff was amazing. The food delicious as always.
Toooooo cold in the dining room in certain areas (corner booth)
The fried chicken was the absolute best that I’ve ever eaten. The ambience was everything, and so was the staff & service. We loved it, and will be returning every time we visit Miami.
The service was phenomenal!
This was our first place we ate on our first night back traveling!! It was so enjoyable. We were outside, staff was so lively. The food was delicious. Live music
Good food and excellent service. Menu is quite varied and represents many good options . Overall a good experience.
The food was amazing! I loved my snapper ! The carrot cake was A PROBLEM (in a good way!) I have to come back.
Excellent outdoor seating Covid guidelines. Food and service excellent!
Best meal I’ve had in a year
This is a great neighborhood spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The service is always friendly and excellent. The food is delicious - never had a bad dish. And they offer great specials each day...fantastic and creative cocktails too!
Expensive for southern "comfort" food, but very well executed. We had the fried chicken and the ribs, which are both delicious. creative sides and cocktails made for a very nice evening.
All servers were incredibly nice and the food was amazing. Monday is a great day to go for half off fried chicken.
I think the price is greater than the food supports. Nice atmosphere and the service is good, but I wasn’t overly impressed because of what I paid and what I got for it.
With reservations had to wait 20 minutes to be seated
Awesome experience! Will return. Food amazing!!!👍❤️
The food was very good. However, some of the menu descriptions are misleading. For example, there was an item described as "meatloaf," which was not meatloaf, but rather patties made of pressed, shredded beef, tasty, but definitely not meatloaf. The service was fair, bordering on poor. Our meals came out in intervals, the last two of which arrived, ice cold, after everyone else had finished eating. They did not have any desserts, which was disappointing. Even making allowances for the impact of Covid, we were underwhelmed.
Food was amazing, excellent service. We went for Brunch but will definitely return for another Brunch or for a fun Chicken and Bourbon Night.
Excellent service by Alex.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it did not disappoint. Great food and service was excellent. Outdoor seating was as nice as the indoor. Definitely coming back to try more menu items!
I am very picky with eating out and I rarely leave reviews. We were in Miami for 5 days and ate at Root & Bone for 2. Get the chicken, your welcome.
Best restaurant, food is amazing and delicious!
Waiter was great.
I gave service 3 stars not because of the waiter but because I think they overbooked for Easter Sunday and we waited a very long time for our food.
It was almost 45 minutes between the appetizers and the main course.
Overall we enjoyed our brunch but we were disappointed at the long wait.
First time visit the drinks and food were really good and very tasty.
