While the ambiance was very nice, I thought the food was just ok, pricey and in my opinion too fatty and rich - maybe I’m not used to southern cooking and I imagine some people like their food prepared that way.
Also, almost no vegetarian options - we had one vegetarian and is Ok with dairy.
Also, waiter had his moments and then really pushed hard on dessert and I thought it went too far, I understand they want higher bills but a basic no thanks should end the discussion.
Nice last minute night out with my hubby. Excellent food as usual
My cat loves this place, she usually gets the duck confit which she meows is out of this world. One could say that the ambiance was purrfect. 5/5 would recommend
Good food. Nice wine list.
You can't miss at Rooster's. An A+ every time. Great Food, Amazing service!
When the owner is seen checking the plates, carrying trays and smiling often , you know that you're in a good place. Craig our waiter was jovial and professional.
The food is exquisitely fresh.
The food was very good, the service was OK, but the price was too high from a value perspective. The table we were given was on a major isle and did not help the ambience. We still enjoyed the meal, but there are better places in Winston.
Each time is more enjoyable ! Great food, ambiance and service a winning combination!
Sat at the bar was only person there and still got horrible service.
The best burger ever!
Quick and attentive service
Another excellent meal at our favorite restaurant! The spinach salad is top notch, and I love the fact that it's slightly varied each week. Great chicken wings from their wood-fired rotisserie. And, as always, stellar service from their friendly and knowledgeable staff. We love it here!
Salmon was great, but the black rice was a bit tasteless and consistency was a bit hard. Charcuterie board was very nice.
Noise level is always a bit high, but still a vibrant surrounding.
Enjoyed every aspect. Exciting menu, great service, excellent food.
Best meal my husband and I have had in a long time, appetizer to dessert!
Love everything about Roosters
Still the best oyster salad in the triad and a menu that has something for everyone
Craig and Lisa are super awesome!!! Request that they be your servers, they are amazing individuals.
Always a delightful dining experience. Creative, often unusual, dishes. Appropriate sized entrees. Full bar options and nice wine list. Trends towards expensive, but worth the experience.
Our food was not prepared well. The grilled sandwich was soaked with butter, it made both of us sick. And the salad was almost all romaine lettuce with very little topping; it cost $14. We left most of it. Needless to say we were very disappointed. Loved the ambience and good, quick service. Just don't order the romaine lettuce salad or grilled cheese sandwich.
Great experience as always - Wendy was GREAT! She was a bit busy, but she kept an eye on us just enough - not too much and not too little. Food delicious as always and the ambiance perfect! I am a bit concerned about the Grade - 92.5? Did I read it correctly? Nonetheless I’ll back! Always Consistent!
We were seated in a back room where there was one other party. Because there were two elderly people in my party, that worked out great as it was much quieter than the main room. It was freezing and the server immediately turned down the air when we mentioned it. Overall, a great experience. Everyone loved their meal. Can't wait to go back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first dining experience at Roosters. Great atmosphere, the server was wonderful and the food was delicious!
We have been to Roosters on several occasions and they have always met our expectations.
Everything was fantastic!! Food and service was amazing
Had a great evening with a special lady. Our waiter Zach was very attentive and knowledgeable of the dishes on the menu which contributed greatly to enjoyment of the night. Food was excellent. Rooster’s is a favorite.
I brought my wife and daughter here for an early Valentine's dinner. This was our first visit. Our waitress was great and knew the menu well.
We small plated it and shared about a dozen different dishes, all of which were superb.
A little noisy for a guy like me who doesn't hear all that well anyway, but it was a great meal made even better by the service we got, and the company I had with me!
I didn’t get exactly what I ordered but it was good.
When I made the reservation on Open Table, I indicated it was for a birthday. But when at the restaurant no acknowledgement about the birthday was made by the restaurant. We chose to let it go. However; the food and service was excellent as always.
We completely enjoyed our dinner at Rooster's. It was our first time there and we were not disappointed. The service was terrific, the food was done perfectly, we will be back.
The food was delicious. I had originally went for the Bologness which is no longer on the menu unfortunately. The shrimp and grits were to die for !
We have always enjoyed Roosters, but this was our last trip as I found out after my reservations were made that the owner had said some derogatory comments concerning the LGBT community in Charlotte. And if feels this way I do not have to enrich his pockets.
A group of 5 visited Nobles on a crowded Saturday evening, but our reservation was ready as expected. Our server was knowledgable and very attentive--made some great suggestions-- and the food/wine was all really good. My out of town guests commented multiple times on the quality of the food and experience.
Our favorite resturant in Winston Salem. We purchased a vacation home and have enjoyed finding this neighborhood Gem!
Very knowledgeable waitress.
Everything was great with the food. I ordered the strip steak and wasn’t disappointed. The server recommended the mac n cheese as a side option. Again a solid choice. After making my way through the dessert the place started to fill up with smoke from a hood failure in the kitchen. By the time I was finished with everything the entire restaurant was enveloped. I am surprised that they didn’t evacuate the place knowing it could make everyone very sick. Other than that, I would go back for another meal.
We went for lunch on a Wednesday and there weren't many people there. We were given lots of attention and the food was consistent as usual. I wasn't wild about my sandwich which had some kind of horseradish spread and beef but the hanger steak my friend had was great. I think they are consistent and have most things figured out. Watch busy times, it can get dicey when they have large parties in the back. I love the open kitchen and laid back atmosphere. Enjoyable!
Had a great New Year's Eve here! Definitely recommend to anyone!
We were very disappointed in the service we received; everyone at our table had ordered iced tea - in a place like this, your glass should never be empty which ours were for quite a while before being refilled. The food portions were surprisingly small - definitely not worth the price. We decided this would be our first and last visit to Rooster's.
