The overall experience to the Grand Illusion Mystery Dinner Show was good. The decor, ambiance and service was great, but what took away from the dinner and show was the noise level at the bottom entrance into the venue. The dinner and magic show takes place on the second floor while which is an open area between the first floor and second floor. Guest who are coming into the venue for the escape room can wait in the lobby on the first floor and also catch a glimpse of the magic show on the second floor. The noises of people talking while they waiting plus the noise from the street traffic due to the open doors into the venue made the experience lack respect for the people who paid for the Grand Illusion Mystery Dinner Show.

Was there for the “death of an illusionist” show and was pretty disappointed. I think we had the understudy’s understudy. He didn’t seem to know the lines or movements. The illusions were way too close to appear convincing at all. Food is nice in that they offer a vegan & regular menu, but neither was very good.

The show was really good but would suggest sharper costumes for the presenting magicians. Better fit & sleeker costume would enhance the feel of the show. My partner & I dined on the vegan option but was highly disappointed as I have made better tasting vegan dishes in comparison. Suggestions on the vegan menu would be: Bean & veggie stir-fry, soy chkn main course, kale/swiss chard salad, vegan carrot cake for desert. For the ttl charge, an acceptable 5course vegan option needs to improve as a comparable choice.

Came here to dinner for an early birthday celebration and enjoyed every minute of it. Marilyn Monroe sang happy birthday to me. The magicians cam to our table and amazed all of us. I got an email saying bringing kids are discouraged I understood why but I brought my 9 month old and she enjoyed the live music. I would come back again. Highly recommended. I would try the escape rooms next time.

We loved the food. Surprisingly delicious. Steven seemed new and nervous but was a fantastic server. The show was super fun and we both volunteered to help the magician. After the show he came around and talked with us. One bad thing: the hostess who sat us needs to be told to use deodorant. She is the first contact we had and it was pretty bad.

Pros: interactive magic show; decent tasting menu food; complimentary drink included in ticket; decor is great for pictures; great for large group outings or birthday celebrations; no pictures/videos during the show; lots of intermissions for bathroom breaks Cons: magic show tricks are a bit predictable; underneath the balcony while the show is going on is the main entryway/exit for the escape rooms so there is constant noise/distractions from guests checking in/out; the servers were more engaged and attentive to those who ordered extra drinks- including our server who did a table side magic trick to every table except ours; the caviar made us sick afterwards Overall very overpriced for the experience but something cool to cross off your Hollywood Bucket list.

Phenomenal ambiance, food was good, service was amazing. We sat upstairs to the right of the stage and the performer was amazing. Reservations were easy to get same day and I recommend this place to anyone. We enjoyed the photo opportunities with the props and look forward to the escape rooms next time we visit. Already recommended to friends.

we went to see the Grand Illusion Mystery dinner "Death if an illusionist". the food was tasty, small portions but worth it. the steak was amazing, the salad not so much. the magic show was mediocre at best. the advertisement made it seem a lot more than what it is. staff was friendly but we were already charged a 20% tip which really sets the bar higher for staff. we ordered wine as part of the package and the wine was excellent. overall I wouldn't recommend it for the price we were charged for dinner and magic show. also this review is only regarding the magic show dinner and not the escape rooms. I have yet to try the escape rooms and see how that goes.

Entering the location was fun due to the decor, welcoming employees at the front and the ambience. Seating and admission were not an issue. The show was decent and somewhat entertaining. It was slow paced and not my favorite type of magic, but I don't fault the venue for that since it is just my preference and personal taste. However, the food was terrible. I wouldn't have paid $30 for the food despite it being a "5 course meal." The portions were incredibly small and gross. My wife ate the salad, but did not enjoy it and only took the smallest bite of the entrees and sides. The desert was not remarkable and easily ice cream scooped from a tub. The terrible food made the whole experience regrettable. The value is definitely not worth $120. I understand the location needs to pay the staff and actors and I'm sure that's why the price is so high. Therefore, I don't believe it's worth having the show because I wouldn't have paid over $40 a ticket had I known what I was in for. My personal advice is save your money. I really wish I could've walked out early and gotten a refund. Even if only a partial refund.
