   This was the first real date night for hubby and I in 9 months, and given we have 4 adorable kiddos who captivate our attention at home we definitely had high expectations! The bourbon selection is exquisite; so many wonderful allocated options! On top of that, they have several Japanese whiskeys, which was a treat for us! All of which paired beautifully with their carefully curated cheese & charcuterie board. The Wagyu chicken fried steak was impossibly amazing - perfectly crisp on the outside, tastefully tender on the inside. The farm fresh greens used in the salad brought me back to my childhood gardening years. Our server and bartender, Jack, was attentive and knowledgeable; his partner, Mason, was equally helpful! All in all, a refreshing, rejuvenating experience!

   These are people who take care of people. Their sweet spirit lifted mine after a tough day as they made me feel welcome and at home. Such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. And on top of that, the drink was great!

   We sat 35 mins before waiter came by to greet us. 8 groups came in after we were seated and got their meals before we ordered. Nice eclectic wine list - unfortunately none of staff knew anything about wine and could not answer questions. Food was phenomenal but like so many restaurants they wont be in business long because service is so sub-par!! Was lovely they allow staff to bring their children to work - unfortunately (second of post) the kids were not supervised. We were seated next to kitchen entrance and a half-dozen times one of our party was bumped, hit with plastic sword or run over by kids. We spent $400 and got service you would expect from a $4 per plate establishment. Ronin could be a jewel but lack of management and accountability of staff will sink this place!

    I had high expectations from what I heard from others about this place. The menu was not cohesive, very small portions, and not anything special. Not a good option for handicapped patrons and children. Was disappointed overall, won’t be going back.

    That was absolutely amazing! The raclette cheese toast was the absolute best combination of flavors and the strawberry soufflé was the perfect way to finish the meal!

    The atmosphere of the restaurant is so nice when its not too packed. When there are too many individuals in it, it makes it hard to hold conversations or listen to the waiters. Food starts running out way before closing time. So if you are considering coming here, aim for an early reservation. Most of the time the staff is attentive but every now and then, its hard to even get or find your waiter. The saving grace is that when the noise levels are low and the menu is complete, the place its amazing! And definitely a must try!!

    Been to Ronin 5 times. Each experience is roughly the same— food is fantastic… the small accents stand out, like the side pairings, starters, etc. That is always consistent. What is also consistent is the inconsistency of service. Kitchen is consistently backed up, waiting 45 minutes to an hour on main dishes with little communication from wait staff. Not that it is expected, but a nice touch would be to offer small nibbles when waiting for so long, just to stave off the hangry that inevitably comes. These opportunities to endear the customer are missed. Even getting topped off on drinks when sitting outside is a struggle… I really like Ronin. Love the farm, moonlight dinners, etc., but the inconsistency and afterthought with staff can be off putting and the food quality can’t always prop up the drawback.

    The food was just amazing. I loved watching how much care the chef put into each plate, truly a beautiful presentation. The pricing was a bit steep but I think fair since it is a farm to table restaurant. The waiters were very sweet and overall a great experience.

    Food was ok. Chicken fried steak was pretty tough for “wagyu.” Mushroom/chicken dish was somewhat off putting. Cheese tray was excellent. Great drink selection. Service was off too. Received wrong bill and too 15 minutes to bring correct one. All in all, an ok experience but don’t think I’ll return.

    Stumbled upon this restaurant while staying in Bryan for a weekend trip. All I can say is, Wow! Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere. The food and drinks were amazing! Service was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale eatery and a great place for a date night!

    A wonderful experience all around. My friends came in from out of town and it was my absolute pleasure to introduce them to this place. The service was amiable and the food delicious. I would recommend Ronin to a friend in a heartbeat for any occasion.

    One of my favorite places in college station/ Bryan to dine. My friends took me there for my birthday dinner. There menu changes seasonally we tried the new roasted sunchoke salad, which was delicious, and sesame chicken. Amazing complex flavors with thoughtfulness on how to elevate simple ingredients, definitely a place to try if you are foodie. Service is top notch southern treatment with the warm and elegant atmosphere to match. One of our party has Celiacs and they are always very careful and accommodating to his allergy.

    Steak overcooked, charred unedible. Sesame Chicken charred, dry unedible. Very small portions. Chicken fried steak was salty but at least edible. We were there to celebrate an engagement with friends and it was a very disappointing experience.

    Service was amazing, the wine and the hanger steak was the best ever !!! The fact that it’s farm to table concept it really got us! We will definitely come back again to see what’s new that day because at Ronin looks like every day it’s a surprise!

    I don’t like to complain, so I will just report what happened and hope it gets better. Ambiance was very nice! The cocktails spot in and wine were good pairing selections. The service was lacking however, our server took our cocktail order and returned ~ 5min later to take it again, forgot both. The pompano was more waste flesh than protein, and the hanger steak overly cooked on the outside for a medium rare, very hard and chewy on the edges. We wondered for the origins of Ronin (as we frequented the outdoor setting early on) what happened to the interesting vegetable medley plated w our protein? Truly barely any at all. For $235 including $40 tip for two = 5 Star Prices, it was… not 5 a star service and meal. Though we made good conversation with neighboring tables :-).

    THIS MEAL SAVED MY MARRIAGE. My husband and I were going through a rough patch, and we were trying to rekindle our relationship. Our server, Mason, was absolutely incredible, so attentive and knowledgeable about the food, and it reflected the values that this restaurant is trying to uphold. The food was amazing, wonderful, and delicious. We had the tasting menu and the brilliance of the chefs really made a mark on us. The chicken was smoked and grilled to perfection, and the purloo was to die for. The seasonal craft cocktails were incredible, such a good balance of flavor and got me in the Christmas spirit. Our friends had the chicken fried steak and tasting menu as well. The cookie desserts were AMAZING chef’s kiss! The egg nog was delicious and creamy. We will now be planning trips to Bryan just to come eat at Ronin.

    Excellence!! Ordered the Four Course Tasting. Expected smallish portions, but it was a feast of deliciousness and plenty to eat. Ronin does not disappoint!! Looking forward to future tasting menus.
