   This place took us back to our trip in Spain. Amazing tapas. Great drive down the coast. Parking. Highly recommend.

   The food here will instantly teleport you to Andalusia. Lovely cozy little restaurant, sweet natured service and you can get to meet the chef owner from Barcelona. Outstanding gambas, best I’ve had outside Spain. Will be back.

   What a great find in Half Moon Bay. We had dinner at Romesco Bistro on Saturday evening. The restaurant is very quaint and warm. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. This restaurant specializes in authentic Spanish cuisine. I had the seafood paella and my friend had the Churrasco. Both entrees were generous in size and full of flavor. We also had a great bottle of red wine with our dinner. For dessert, we shared a dish of Crema catalana. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review; I highly recommend this restaurant if you are interested in enjoying excellent Spanish cuisine. We will definitely return.

   The food was good but a little mixed. The empanadas were outstanding. The Cuban sandwich good. But the beat salad was a bit weak. The pasta was a bit mushy and bland. The service was frankly terrible. It took over 20 minutes to even place an order after we were seated. Then the drinks we ordered were not deliverd for 10 more minutes until we asked about them. Because of the service delays it took over 1 1/2 hours to have a simple lunch of three tapas.

   We made a reservation for Sat lunch. When we got there, the front door was locked but there was a private party on. I thought,if they were closed for private party, they should not accept reservation. So we went around the building if there were other entrance. No luck. We went around for about 15 minutes with no way to enter until one customer informed the owner of our presence, then we were let in. We were seated promptly. Owner tried to accommodate us warmly although they were busy serving the big party. Average menu price is$14-18 which are reasonable. There were two seasonal price items on the menu. A seafood paella for two is at $40, reasonable. I told the owner I was debating to choose the whole fish or the paella, the last two items on the menu. She highly recommended the whole snapper which I ordered. The bill came with the fish being charged at $70. Yes, it is an order for two people, but for a snapper, not as fresh as expected. Deep fried and then over powered by excessive fresh lemon juice yet still couldn't cover the fishy smell. I was pleased with the warm service, the family style restaurant but definitely shocked by a $70 fish at a family style restaurant at very average quality. Still my fault, should have asked for price before accepting suggestions.

   We loved our Tapas experiences in Spain and the chefs's ability to recreate one of our favorite foods was fabulous! We will be back.

   It was a terrific find. The only problem was the location was confusing. You could see it from the road but it was very confusing on how to get there. The food was excellent and creative. Smoked beet salad was unusual and delightful. Waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and fun.

   The reason why I came here is because i heard the Chef is from Spain. Not all Spanish restaurants has Spanish Chefs, This is one of the best restaurant in the Bay Area i mean it really, All the Tapas and Main dishes that I ordered where beautifully presented amazing flavors and fresh. They change their menu every week that what i've been told. They are hidden in a location that you cannot find easily I wish they where in the Main Street or even in San Francisco because not everybody knows that they are here.
