About
We have eaten at this Macaroni Grill for many, many years. Every week. Dylan waiting on us and Mario the best chef ever. We love you all and will truly miss everything about the Mac. Love to all of you.... The Fergusons
The ambiance is nice but unless you have time to burn the wait for your dood to come is entirely too long. My party of 2 waited over an hour for our food. Their were only a handful of people there so it wasn’t because it was crowded.
Appetizer was burnt, margarita took over 40 mins to get and that was after waiter forgot. Dinner was cold and had to be remade.
The wait for food was unbelievable. Ordered the Calarmi Fritti as an appetizer and an hour later Jordan comes to tell us that you guys are out of batter to make them. AFTER AN HOUR after being told that it was up already and about to come to us and didn’t bother to make it up but people behind us got a free cheesecake. Others got their meals taken care of. Then when we finally got the entrees my wife’s squash was burnt. I understand it’s Valentine’s Day but it honestly wasn’t that packed. I’ve ran restaurants busier the kitchen just didn’t have a strong head chef
Staff goes above and beyond to make your meal enjoyable. Amazing food and amazing people! Can't wait to visit again!
Horrific. I’m overwhelmed in Valentine’s Day. 7pm reservation seated at 7:45. Drinks @ 8:15. Stone cold spinach dip at 8:45. Drink refills at 9:15. Left at 9:45 still no dinner. Put them out of there misery. #sad
For starters, our reservation was set on Open Table for 6:30pm. When we arrived, we went onto yet another waiting list and were immediately told we would be seated somewhere around our reserved time. It was after 7pm when we got seated. When I questioned the hostess, I received a very unprofessional response. Since help was limited, we did not get our main course until nearly 8:30pm. The food was ok but I could tell it was thrown together in a hurry.
This restaurant has a rating of 90.0, which in my book is unacceptable for a restaurant like this. If I was not already committed to this for my wife, I would have walked out.
This was by far the worst ever experience I’ve ever had at Macaroni Grill, which has always been my wife’s first choice. I chalk all these issues up to poor management.
Food getting out to us was extremely slow. Took over an hour to get us the entrees and the restaurant was not even close to being full. Waitress kept apologizing. We won’t be back...ever
Just not a good experience. Was there for two hours and most of it was without food. I know it was a busy nite (valentines) but seemed to not flow at all. And when food came it was just very underwhelming .. i wont go again
Great service and the food was delicious. Perfect way to spend time with my Valentine.
Make sure you ask to Sit in "Jordan's" section. Our second time as Jordan as our server - will always ask for him. If he is not working that evening, we will come another time
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Mashed potatoes on 2 plates came out completely cold ... steak rare not cooked as requested ... waiter was nice and tried to correct issues , peach sangria good thank god for bread little slow in service
Had a reservation but the system was messed up and they claimed they couldn’t take our reservation. But to make matters worse, they.. including the manager were extremely rude. We were a group of 12 so understand that it’s hard to accommodate on a busy day, b it a couple of just two people behind us asked to sit at the bar that had plenty of open seats and the manager rudely said, we aren’t taking walk ins, you have to have a reservation. But with the reservation system messed up, how did they expect anyone to make a reservation!?!
This issue could have definitely been handled better.
It was great but they were overbooked so it took a super long time to get our food!!
We had reservations and the online description included prime rib lobster tail or filet mignon, which was news to the manager. The food took forever because you had not only reservation customers, but take-outs, deliveries/online orders...too much for that day. The plates came cold, chilling the food. The side I ordered was wrong and overcooked (I asked for broccolini and got overdone asparagus). The brussell sprouts were barely identifiable charred remains of brussell sprouts. And the tomato basil soup was a disappointment. The ONLY bright spot was our server - Jasmine - who is a TRUE credit to your organization, who was working her tail off doing three people's jobs (waiting tables, working the bar, helping with takeouts, and prodding the kitchen who was REALLY behind getting orders out). She was reassuring, capable, understanding, apologetic, and VERY pleasant esp under poor circumstances. You should pay her double whatever she gets. Frankly, I was hoping for a nice Christmas dinner with my husband and son and what we got was an over-priced sub-par experience. I was giving your restaurant a chance, and I wish I hadn't
This is a reliably good restaurant . We decided to eat out at the last minute on Christmas day and I was so glad it was open because otherwise it would have been fast food for us. We had 3 people all with different dietary restrictions and we all found appropriate items on the menu. It was well made and the waitstaff was attentive even though the place was crowded. My only issue is the noise level but even that was not outrageous.
The only good thing about the place besides the waitress was that they comped our meal. We didn't complain but it took close to an hour and half and it wasn't even good when we got our food.
We visited on Christmas Day, so you might expect different service than usual. However, it was reservation based, so I expected better overall. While we were seated about on time, we were there a total of almost three hours to complete our meal with waiting on food and service.
An appetizer came out without the balsamic glaze and when we were asked if we wanted it, they started the whole dish over! One guest ate a fraction of her dish. She didn’t want to return it, but I was surprised that none of the servers mentioned the practically uneaten dish, or when she said she didn’t want to take it home. One dish was supposed to have jumbo shrimp. It definitely wasn’t the jumbo shrimp. It wasn’t the smallest appetizer size, but in between. And that is not an inexpensive dish. Our poor employee that had to deliver food to our table and many others and was so maxed out! This person really became the only person offering real service and having to do the full table job with little help from our waitress. So, this person had to end up responding to and answering for any and all issues at the tables. That is just not their job or something they are trained to do at that level and pace and pay grade!!
I truly hate leaving negative reviews, but it wouldn’t be fair to say that it was the best experience. I do greatly appreciate that they were open on Christmas, but for the prices and reputation, I felt it was not well managed. If you are going to do it, then it should be done right. I would only do Christmas again if I could reserve for the opening time so that they were not behind yet.
They botched our reservation and the GM was flat out rude to us and all that I saw her interact with. We did not want to wait 2 1/2 hours so we went elsewhere
Service in this restaurant is always wonderful. Bre, our server on Christmas Day was the best server we have ever had at this restaurant. All the servers greet us when they pass our table.
Delicious and fast!
Christmas Eve - The waitress was awesome, very personable and attentive. She was happy to be there! Members of my party had good food, unfortunately my chicken parm- was very unremarkable. Olive Garden's was way better.
Overall we had a good time with a party of 5. We were in an aisle and felt in the way of the people passing by.
Our waitress was
Food was cold and had to be sent back. Great wait staff service.
Restraint is shabby, needs maintenance. The floors were dirty, service was incredibly slow. Food was adequate but cold. We will not be going back.
Even though their reservation system had overbooked the restaurant, they managed to get our large party seated in a reasonable time and offer good service. Food is always good.
Service was poor, the waitress wrote down our orders but still forgot to bring certain stuff plates to the table. We didn’t receive complimentary bread, the table next to us did. The drink machine didn’t work and the fryer was broken. When complained to the manager, she said she was new and would remember our faces for the next visit. Ridiculous.
Thanksgiving
We went there for Thanksgiving because we were traveling and it was one of the few restaurants open. We should have just forgone the Thanksgiving meal and chosen the regular menu. The food was cold, the stuffing mushy, and the service was poor. I had to repeatedly ask about my glass of wine before it was finally served to me, and after our food was served, no one came over for us to let them know that it was cold and that we needed assistance. Overall, a bad experience.
We have been patrons of Marconi Grill since 1998 in Annapolis, MD. When we moved to NC, we have been dinging here at the Triangle Town Center location for many years. We were delighted to share Thanksgiving Day with you. The staff made it memorable, and we are very grateful. Teresa, Megan and Lakeisha went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. As a party of 7, it was nice to be able to relax and let you do all the cooking. The traditional cheesecake with pumpkin cream anglaise was a perfect ending to the meal.
Our family decided we did not want to cook for Thanksgiving. We opted to eat at Macaroni Grill. Our table had our name and reservation on it when we arrived. Our service was excellent and we enjoyed our meal. It was an overall lovely experience.
It was good
Service was VERY slow. Despite having reservations and a 1/2 empty restaurant, we were seated at the bar where our servers were the two bartenders. They were both nice enough but failed to follow through on any of our requests until repeated multiple times. Very disappointing way to celebrate a birthday.
My wife’s food was cold.
When I called for reservations the representative somewhat rudely informed me that reservations were available only on line.
We ordered “two glasses of Chianti”. There was only one Chianti listed on the menu. It was listed as $8/glass. We were billed $12/glass for “Chianti Classico”. I complained, and only after pushing I received a $4 “military discount”. Not happy. We will not go back. Get better service and food at Olive Garden and Carraba’s.
ME AND 6 OF MY GIRLFRIENDS, WENT ON OUR LADIES NIGHT!! THE SERVICE STARTED OUT, EXCELLENTLY. THE SERVER WAS SO FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, AND ACCOMMODATING !! SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T WANT US, TO WORRY, ABOUT ANYTHING, AND HAVE A GREAT TIME!! MY SEX ON THE BEACH WAS FANTASTIC! WE HAD SIX DIFFERENT, ENTREES, AND THEY WERE ALL, AWESOME, EXCEPT THE SIDE DISH, WITH THE SALMON, NOT VERY, GOOD. MYSELF AND MY FRIEND, HAD TO ASK FOR MORE SAUCE, ON OUT PASTA! THE BREAD WAS TO DIE FOR!! WE COULDN'T GET ENOUGH!! EVERYONE LOVED THE AMBIANCE, AND THE MUSIC WAS LOVELY TO LISTEN TO, BUT WE COULD STILL, HEAR EACH OTHER!! WE ALL AGREES, WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN, FOR ANOTHER, LADIES NIGHT!! THEFOOD, WAS A GREAT VALUE!!
It's always good. Never had a disappointment here . ....
Salmon was burnt, noodles were hard, and soup giving wasn't a full serving. It was like they gave us what they had left. We were very disappointed.
I reserved a table for my daughter's sixteenth birthday party (12 teenagers) and my husband and I sat at another table. I purchased a cake from Cold Stone Creamery for this event and gave the cake to Darryle, our waiter. After the party I was waiting by the hostess station to pay my bill, I heard a staff member tell the hostess how good the mint chocolate cake was and she should try it. At the time I did not think much of it. Darryle returned with the cake in it's bag. I paid the bill with a 20% gratuity. Later that night we decided to eat some of the cake and my daughter asked where is the rest of my cake. She said they had only eaten half of the cake and a fifth of the cake remained. Her saying this reminded me of the staff member telling the hostess about how good the mint chocolate cake was. I called the restaurant at 8 pm 09/07/2019 and spoke to Manager Charles Cook. After being on hold, I was told by Charles that the cake had melted and the staff threw it away. I disputed that by what I had heard from his staff. Then Charles apologized for his staff eating my cake and wanted my family to come back for a meal paid by the Romano's Macaroni Grill. I said no. He wanted me to think more about the offer before I declined. On 09/08/2019 at 11:13 a.m. Charles Cook called me and offered to pay for the birthday cake with the purchase receipt and I accepted. I arrived at the restaurant at 2:10 p.m. on 09/08/2019 and met with Charles and his assistant manager. At that time Charles told me that my daughter told the staff they could eat her cake. I disputed that claim by what I over heard and identified the staff member that made the statement and the fact of how unlikely my daughter would give her sweet sixteen cake to strangers. Charles then apologized again for the staff eating my daughter's cake. Charles took my receipt and paid me fifty-three dollars in cash.
My family will never return to the restaurant because food safety and trust is not first with them.
Not as good as Macaroni grill usually is. We were disturbed by the ‘85’ hygiene score at first but the staff and ambience were as pleasant as always. However, the entree took overlong to arrive and the lamb shank was dangerously cold. I expected a completely fresh one to be be prepared. Instead, the same shank came out and was swimming in even more gravy. At least the food was discounted 20% but we’ll avoid this location for a while.
The wait was terrible, even with the open table reservation. Service slower than normal. Unsanitary cooks in kitchen. Seemed like issues in the kitchen, but overall dining experience was not good.
