From the Valet to the plating of our food before we left, this dining experience was worth our long drive from The Woodlands. The food and service from our waiter Ismael was great. Steak was cooked and sliced to perfection. The sushi was amazing!!!! The cocktails with sake are classy, unique and will sneak up on u!!! Great ambience to accommodate big or small parties and a must do if u are looking for a romantic place for a date night. Can’t wait to return!

I recently flew from Toronto to Houston and decided to dine at this restaurant with family living in the area. I made a reservation for six people, and coincidentally, my uncle had also made a separate reservation for four at the same time. We met by chance in the parking garage and were excited to all be at the same restaurant.When we arrived, the hostess, a Hispanic lady, greeted us, and I explained that we had two separate reservations, but were part of the same family. Her demeanor instantly changed, and she rudely asked, 'What do you mean?' I calmly repeated that we had made two independent reservations. She responded, 'That’s not how it works,' as if implying we had intentionally split a larger group into two reservations to bypass some rule, which was not the case at all. To make things worse, she seated us far apart, even though there were many empty tables around. I politely asked if we could sit closer, not together—just near each other—and she flat-out refused, with an attitude that seemed almost discriminatory. It was as if she was trying to prove a point by keeping us separated, despite there being no real reason to do so. This behavior made us feel unwelcome from the start, and it was clear she didn’t want to accommodate us. We asked to speak with the manager, who eventually agreed to seat us closer, but the damage had already been done. Throughout the evening, the energy was negative, and aside from our waiter, who was fantastic, the rest of the staff treated us coldly, making it clear we weren’t wanted there. To top it off, when I went to pay, I was charged a 20% gratuity for a large group, even though we never sat together and these were two separate reservations. It felt incredibly unfair and added to the sense that we were being treated poorly.It’s unfortunate, because while the food was excellent, the hostile attitude from the hostess and the lack of basic hospitality made for a very negative experience. She should not be the face of restaurant

It's always a lovely time at Roka. The staff, service, and food never disappoint. You would do well to enjoy happy hour at the bar and/or dinner in the restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We sashimi, maki rolls, lobster tail and Black Cod. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive. We highly recommend Roka Akor!

We came for a birthday dinner and had a group of six. They were very kind and communicative over open table but our waiter forgot multiple things that we had ordered and had to remind him multiple times. The prime filet with aoli was amazing. I would come back just for that. I got multiple crudos; but nothing stood out and was not worth the price. I recommend uchi or handies or norigami if you’re wanting good sushi and crudo. There was also multiple parties that got sick after dinner. I wish we could’ve gotten our money back. Spending over $250 just to be sick is horrible. Do not recommend.

Very good service. Andrew and our waiter were very nice in making our Anniversary celebration great. Summer Sushi deal was fantastic as well as the other Sushi pieces we tried. All the Sushi Chefs were also top notch.

I always enjoy going to Roka. We did the restaurant weeks menu which was great value as you get to sample all 3 appetizers. And then we also did the sushi experience. It was a great selection of nigiri and sashimi Very tasty stuff
